  1. ?? Like i mentioned the switch is a basic open close switch it either works or doesn;t as it only opens up the wiring connections for the other windows or they are connected,.
  2. no problem and let the dealer know if you think it is louder than most ,
  3. Check to see if you have the wiring on your trunk lid grounding out,. There is a common problem of the wires going to the lid by the arm breaking. Do a search and you should find it.
  4. It is usually because there is a torque convertor lock up problem.
  5. Buy a folia tec spray can in black tehn let a body shop paint it evenly and clear coat it after for a nice uniform look as folia tec makes the best taillight spray i have seen.
  6. Is this the same company that makes tyc lights? The person also get a free flush and fill of coolant?
  7. How is the fluid levels? It might be the power steering pump.
  8. The noise from the pump is normal ,all cars do that. As you have verified it is the same noise made when the key is turned forward before starting. The brakes sometimes will be replaced under warr, try the dealer and see what they say.
  9. Not a bad price but you need to make sure they aren't the camry v ones which are a smaller rear rotor diameter.
  10. the rubber hanger attaches the mufflers hanger to the point on the cars hanger. is one of the 2 holes ripped. most exhuast shops will do it for $ 10-15 if it only needs a bushing for the hanger or to rewled a hanger.
  11. I agree get the upper bushings changed or atleast lubed as well as th lower sway bar one. the front click is the cv joint boot that has leaked and now the bearings are shot and it needs to be replaced,if it was caughtearlier before the click with just a bad boot you could have just changed the boot same amount of labour but less for parts by a few hundered It would be cheaper to paint and repair your existing door than replace and buy and well as ship a door to you.
  12. You should be getting bettter milage as you are not doing stoppig and starting but highway straight. I can get almost 1000km to my tank when i drive all highway and slightly overinflated tires. I would say don;t even bother about it until you get where you are going.
  13. there is a 3 page thread that JPI has nicely taken awhile to put together with pictures for questions just like yours. take a look.
  14. should have checked the buy and sell section i have a thread with a guy selling some locally pretty cheap
  15. If the brake dust has impregnated itself into the finish then it won;t make a difference what you use as the paint is already shot .besides it is on the tiny areas where it builds up and the old dutch stuff does wonders without being really rough once mixed with water.
  16. assuming cleaning the engine would work ,never more than likely depending on the situation , but either way you lose nothing as you gain economy and performance back.
  17. No filter is liftime or it wouldn;t be a filter. The reason you can;t ind the filter is because it is rather large as filters go. There is a sump screen in the tank but that is it as far as filters in there go. It is about 2.5-3 inchswide and tucked under the booster one side has an out and the other and in.They almost never need to be replaced. Follow the fue line from the fuel rail back and you;ll see it.
  18. Do you have only the stock alarm or an aftermarket one installed? The stock one needs a door hoodor trunk latch to be opened to sound off. There is no shock sensor on the oem ones.
  19. umm you jiggled the alarms wires? are you sure you have a stock alarm or an aftermarket one installed in the car ?
  20. Toyota can do the work fine. you can tell yourself if you need new fluid althought every 2 years is good. If the fluid is black or really dark or the pdeal is mushy then change it. If you need warrenty work then don;t let them do it just take it to lexus after.
  21. wheel cleaner is an acid it works but it also pits the finish badly if left on which is pretty much what it needs to be removed. try using old dutch or another slight abrasive cleaner with a tooth brush to remove the rest. Also try going to a power washer ( wear a rubber suit as you will get soaked) and pressing it right up against it after treating it with something powerful .
  22. no problem they have been law since 1990 in Canada not sure about the states if it is law or not. another way is to ground the wire that goes from the e brake to the controller as it wil also shut it down as it thinks you are not moving.
  23. oh i am not recommeneding the bosch ones or anyother. I just stated the benifits of them .Actual gains or loses on certain cars i have no clue.
  24. I actually never use my drl's either but not because of the look really. I always have my light on full day or night. I got hid's why not show them off. Never mind the few saftey courses i have taken make it much easy for your brain( mainly otehr peoples) to compreheand a moving vehicle when it is lit brighter than dimmer as well as compared to not at all.
  25. compressor replacment is not a DIY look at the fan when it is spinning and see if the vibration is coming from it, press the a/c button on and off to see it is only starts shuddering when you press the button.
