  1. eibachs drive smooth will only slightly stiffer ride but mainly when cornering the difference is felt 1.2 drop hardly needs an alignment as a slight bit of negative camber is not a bad thing over stock,
  2. the funny thing is as much as it is annoying ,it works as a reminder. right after you cut it you;ll lock the doors
  3. I noticed the saem thing today on an rx in the shop that i had to close all the doors to make it work .Since a new audio system was being installed it was a pin in the !Removed! to do . Mention it to lexus maybe they will make changes to the system but a good high audio store should be able to make a relay and diode to the computer watching the doors to fool it into thinking the doors are closed to work the door

  7. The name is all just what ever the person who sees it calls it ,it means nothing i had 8000k bulbs i hate tehm, i can;t see half as good with the 6000 or 5300 ones i also have. the k means the colour not output try ebay they have lots of bulbs prettty cheap

  10. actyall in case you wanted to know jk their are 3 o2 sensors the rear and front exhuast banks and then after the cat to see if the cat is functioning properly.

  12. Higher octane will be better over the long run for maximum engine variability to burn as much fuel as needed. It lets the ecu make the descion to change the timing of ignition in regards to load , and what it can make out of the fuel. I find i get way better mileage and power form using 93 octane in my cars an average of 50-80 km extra a tank Lower octane also uses cheaper additives and cleaners which all gas has , which if used often cause the systems to build up with carbon much easier and not be removed causing knock later on especially if not revved hard and somewhat often to break off the carbon.

  14. I still didn't ask you if it does that in drive. I asked if it revs normal in Netural. I understand what you are saying but in order to troubleshoot a problem you need to examine all parts of the car and not assume anything.
  15. definatly change the cap and rotors if the have carbon it might be overheating the coil and shutting down there may be a small cap with a tire vavle looking thing called a schrader valve,it is used to check fuel pressure the hissing might be the VSV which is for the fuel rails and adjust using vacume take out a plug and turn the engine over look for the spray of fuel shooting out if the gas is getting there but if you have no spark you are on the right track if you have maf problems you should be able to just disconnect it and the car will go into open loop for the sensor to run in safe mode.
  16. Let lexus know ,so they will make changes to the rain rails in future models and hopefully will make a small retro kit for your car and others
  17. moved to the detailing forum the best wax is dependent on how much you want to spend $1900 and get zymol's concours wax that has to be rolled in your hand and heated then rubbed in by hand not cloths,it also comes in a crystal jar refillable for life.
  18. Valve adjusting wont cause bogging does it still bog when you put the car in neutral or are driving in 1st or 2nd gears>?
  19. The es 250 grille is way too small fo the LS which is about 8 inches high compared to the ES which is 5 inches Do you want a gold one? Check the buy and sell section i have a post with brand new toyota oem gold emblems/parts cheap.

A K&N true claim to fame is that it is a reduced vacume load on the engine,unless you have a 1000hp engin being stifled will you see any real gains in HP The funny thing you mention about the oil not supposed to be in the engine ,is that well it is supposed to have oil in their ( but i know what you mean i am just being a sarcastic !Removed! for a second) Also with the pcv system it actually does reintroduce oil into the intake system ( small amounts over time but none the less oil will be burned through a natural engine process. A drop in filter as mentioned is of little gains with just as little detremental effects unless grossly misused by over charging it,but as long as you give it a good couple of swings around it will expell the excess oil before it can become a problem.

  23. lexus and walmart don't go together. a museum ,sure but start by saving the cars and restoring them if you want to own a shop then sure direct it at lexus ask JPI he may have ideas if it doesn;t conflict with his buisness in TEXAS
