  1. nope unless you can solder electronics but why bother just get it fixed from 100 -250 for new needles
  2. I really don't think the earlier 2nd gen gs's was drive by wire
  3. great unit i prefer alpine screens over any others but they are behind in the feature department ,kind of like lexus Pioneer makes the new avc-n1 which is a screen dvd player and gps all built into one unit i have a cva 1006
  4. get enough light in front of it and you will see the tint is slightly red on it
  5. do you drive with the o/d on or off? it sounds fine
  6. Buy them and check the return policy from the dealer when you have the work done have them check them as tehy need to be removed anyway as they wil need to be cleaned and checked for cracks ,once that is done it won't squish anymore, also lube the sway end links
  7. location? add it to your profile it saves time guessing
  8. how much do you want to spend is what will determine what you can do best A crystal line is a line level apadter for speaker inputs from stock equipment , It is the best out there i had 2 for my ES before i got a deck it is as close to getting rca outputs as you can form an oem system
  9. not the maf the one you have is like a tank and the car still works, just runs rough and throws a code if it had a problem get the vsv checked on the fuel rail
  10. OK i didn;t read this properly the first time Where did you buy the car ( a dealer is not very precise) DO you have warrenty? The filters only plug when a clutch is slipping either from abuse or a solenoid not engaging or a valve not getting enough pressure to apply a clutch properly. Once it starts it needs to have a flush to remove all debris or it will return and clog the filter again and cause the clutches to burn out completly and shortly. You may have had a low oil situation and the tranny is now pretty much shot ,cleaning the filter again in such a short time will return it to the road but you have destroyed the clutches as i am sure you tried to rev the engine a few times to get it to move but it wouldn't thus causing tehm to slip beyond belief and die. You need a new tranny
  11. how is the oil and the pcv? you may have damaged a VSV it is easy to do , my cousin tried cleaing his intake and broke the damn things they are blue and red on the fuel rail.
  12. if you where into performance more than looks then you would have gotten the suspension first So it would be best to get used to a kit as they all have different designs and heights before seeing if you can lower it
  13. Actually it is the photoelectric sensor, but it doesn;t adjust the temp of the A/C but adjusts the air from the floor to the vents when it is brighter sunshining on it as compared to when it is normal out. Just compensates the occupants to make them feel cooler against the sun.
  14. The stock speakers would sound like garbage with anything but a stock amp Replace it all or nothing The most i find coming out of the amp on an ES is about 8-12 watts rms per channel ,it is made to be very efficent
  15. Glad you did a search to find the info It is normal and fine to idle high when cold (trying to recharge the battery warm the engine for emmisions/sensors and get oil pressure to max for exteneded engine life. It also sounds like you don;t use your parking brake if on a incline causing stress on the tranny .
  16. I can get it done for you. Give me your details. You should be able to use the email link under my name .
  17. Are your rockers leaking oil? It might be leaking oil or from a bad oil change and slipped down there ,so when you removed the plugs and boots it dripped down them. Check your rotor and cap
  18. you may have a problem with the thremostat switch to turn on the fan to high speed for temp as the a/c circuit runs fine what happens if you just keep the a/c on to cool it? the fan always runs and gradually adjusts speed as needed
  19. the older maf on a 3vz is a flap type sensor not the vane type on the 1mz-fe sounds like you know what to do
  20. do a search or look in the general questions for the list
  21. only go to toyota for a part if lexus isn;t close as the price should be the exact same if they match the rear rotors on camrys are not the same depending on years
