  1. Admitting when you are wrong means you can laugh with the people laughing at you. :) Get the exchange and chrome option for under $500 it is a steal.
  2. I thought it was the line leading onto the rad that you bypassed. So if it still goes in the rad then you are fine running it that way.
  3. to get the p pause or w wait perss the * key until it scrolls into that text to add it.
  4. I would guess it is the exact same as every toyota/lexus. moved to the rx section
  5. I would check the paint code on the vin sticker on the door jam. I would suspect although very similar may not be the same exact paint code and mixture. Besides paint is very hard to perfectly match especially after a few years of making it.
  6. If you want to be adventureous i would go to lexus and buy the schematic book and trace back where the wring is and goes .it is about 30 and is well worth it when you get these wiring troubleshooting issues.
  7. Just a note when adding an email adress to any thread never use it in the exact form unless you like spam emails. I edited yours
  8. Please keep the evac bashing to another thread if so oriented. thanks no traffic with an 400h = no clue = no post
  9. I agree the fuel line is fine. The pressures of the cooler is 25-35 psi ,so it is very low which is why no one even makes tranny pressure gauges. I would get a new rad ,you need the heat to circulate the fluid properly in the tranny. It is not a good idea to keep running the car without so sort of initial heat to lower the viscosity of the tranny fluid. I know it sounds backwards to need heat when it has a cooler but it is really just a heat exchanger working in both directions to give and take heat.
  10. Sway bars are great but so is just increasing the tire pressures never mind you can save alot of gas.
  11. If you think that is brutal try removing the rear seats which use a 3 foot pry bar.
  12. I would guess you got air in the system then. BTW did you lube the cailper pistons and sliders before installing the new pads? As well as adding anti squeel?
  13. You don't have to use the factory pioneer/nakamichi components unless you want to keep the original head unit and amp. Using anything else will not sound great but for the price of Lexus units i would scrap the whole thing and go aftermarket in a minute. It is much easier and cheaper.
  14. I meant "exactly" how much it lower ! Take a measuring tape and measure before and after to know if there is a problem with the scale of lowering.
  15. Most know where i stand on ES's with 20's. There are rims you could buy that are 20x7 or 8 which is rare but made for small imports with owners who want to "floss". But expect to be bent over to pay for the 225/30/20 tires you would need.
  16. Your new plugs are probably heating up the exhaust more effiecently .It is just better burn causing the cooling effect to be more pronounced. Mine used to do that all the time too.
  17. Actually NEO and me are talking about the exact same thing. The tool pictured is the same one i mentioned which connects to the studs. To the novice ( not saying that about you NEO) person using the machine they will only curl the inner lip which is fine for a quick and simple fix. As mentioned though , if done right you actually can flare the fender slightly to add more space and a slight wide body look. It is an art of paitance to slowly go back and forth heating over and over again. It takes a bout 1 hour a corner to get the fender to gain a few MM . If you want to lower an LS with airsuspension get a controller ,it allows you to set any height you want and for the ulitimate it will lower the car when shut own and raise it at the touch of a button. A very nice feature. I wish they had air suspension in Canada after i found out about it.
  18. A windom simply is a JDM(japanese domestic market, meaind Toyota sells this car to its own country, Much like Gm sells a sunfire to the USA) Em( european market) AUm (Australian market)vehicle . Basically it is a right hand drive ES300.
  19. I can vouch for luxury mods, i already ordered a few things from them already.
  20. To make sure it is not over oiled 1 after oiling it swing it around to gravity pull the oil across the surface and drip the excess off. 2 let it sit on an angle to allow the pleats to drain down for an hour. It should be fine then Never oil and insert right away
  21. I agree ,but you already know that. Here is a pic of my car with my rims well almost. very similar to it in the style of the kit and the exact same 20 inch 2 peice rims. They are small pics but hey i am suprised to find any. front rear
  22. I like a 740 especially with a sport package but you already know its lack lustre reliability and cost of repairs. I like a camry but i would take a new Avalon over a new ES or Camry any day it should have been the new ES as it is sooo much better looking.
  23. Check the relays in the cabin fuse block are then. Listen for where the headlight relay is and it should be right by it. Just keep turning the lights on/off to trace the clicking.
