I completly disagree, this is the wrong way of doing things or the cheap way. First they are over wattage bulbs which either melt the headlight housing , wiring or cause a nice fire. Second if you want to just do plain halogen bulbs thne get silverstars or piaa. What you need to figure out is do you want to spend 200-300 for a plug and play HID system or not. is the look/vanity or the actual output the reason for the upgrade.

moved to the modification section. That kit is absolute garbage. Not worth a single cent as it WILL burn out the bulbs and ballasts over and over again. Buy original Philliips units ot stick with blue ricey bulbs that mimick the real HID kit.

Ity can be the loose connection at the battery or it is more likely a loose connection on the alarm wiring.

They will clean up after you polish them but they will also need to be protected as that is water marks which happens as the clearcoat ages. Get a detailer to high speed polish them for about $20-30 for all 4 in about 10 minutes ,then wax them with a nice wheel polish,any will do.

Early to mid sludge causes reduced oil flow and excessive metal wear. So sludge does cause increased gas milage. As well as oil consumption. Just call lexus head office and tell them your problem and that the dealer did not mention anything about it being covered.

How bad ,where and what kind of damage if you can detail it

LOL Aija the bmw audi and other forums are also 10X older than Lexus as it is only 16 years old. The other car companies have a long and great heritage,Lexus is the new kid on the block. Also they do not cater much to the performance aspect as strongly as other car companies which creates a very strong web following.

you got me and i own a 94 ES. Are you sure your "mechanic" is using the right term? I would call him and ask him what it does?

Well for a GS it is a nice car but the rims and flames just are not right in my personal look for the car. Also how well are things done properly if it has a cheap MTX amp looking luike it was hooked up with left over wiring then screwed down in the trunk. That to me is an indicator or poor workmanship.

My question is ,what are you looking for in a forum? Your car is a few months old and as such has a small following with many new "Lexus"owners who are just getting acquainted with the car never mind the internet and "Lexus"

No stock Lexus alarm has a shock sensor. So unless it had an aftermarket alarm it should not be going off at all. Either you had a bad door lock mechanism that thought a door was opened because of a wrong gap and set it off or it never went off before.

Does the car still have the same amount of power? I would start by disconnecting the tach sensing wire. It may be hooked up wrong causing the car to not work properly. Also see if it revs in neutral normally. Find out how the tach wire is hooked up coil pack? injector? or tach wire?

All of those threads have the word "smoke" But blue smoke and other no exact responses from thread starters do not make a definitive reason for a pinned. P.S. next time "you" think something is important try not to knock others in the same breath. Another thing is if you have people telling you white smoke means to replace the engine you need to find a technition.

When a company in modern day makes radios that still use a string as part of its frequency amplitude adjustment they are really being cheap in making parts. Quality is pretty much cornered in the Auto alarm market by DEI who makes Viper and a few years ago bought the number 1 designed alarm maker Clifford .

I would guess by using a bluetooth earpeice like the hs-850 that the razr came with. Press the button and it should override the car and connect to it.

It is great and cheap compared to repainting, it is for pros to install.

I doubt the dealer will erase it , more than likely the new owner will if they ever figure out how to operate it. It is more likely someone will break a window of your car on your driveway. Once they press the button on the homelink as it is not disabled as it should be when the car is off the garage door in front of it would open. Erasing them is pretty easy ,should be pressing all 3 buttons together.

It is a pre production car army ,anything will and can change and i think someone willing to drop $100 grand on one will not care less about factory option of tinted glass. you think? Very nice car and i can't wait to drive one. I can see it now with an air suspension module to lower it over a nice set of 20 inch rims all black with white interior. Oooooooowh now that is my kind of car. I like the rear wood console , strange it is not like the previous ones which allowed it to be removed and returned the car to a 5 seater when needed as it looked just the same on the 98-2000 LS in Japan. I love the new L-finesse direction as the previous few years lines (GS exempt) did nothing for me in the Lexus line up

I had the same problem with the second set of stock 98 wheels i bought. The last owner used acid wheel cleaner and destroyed them .Compared to the car wash ones on the car they looked like garbage. I had more corrosion white ash on the aluminum than i had clear coat. I sanded them down and colour matched them since they where only going to be used for winter tires anyway. The other thing is SW is right , On my original 98 wheels i used my high speed and a lot of elbow work to remove all the light etching ,yellowing and pitting and they looked amazing after. They really looked so bad my wife accused me of buying rims saying i got rid of the old yellow ones. I had a good laugh after since she was on her way to work at 7am and i spent the night polishing the car and wheels. I am glad it did pay off. A good detailer or rim re-finisher could do it for you for about $30 -$100 a rim.It all depends if they just polish it or dip it to remove the clear and the polish before clear coating it again.

Oh no ,i agree with you completly i was just giving you there side of the coin. They should just say we can't disclose. I bet i am more picky than you are when it comes to gas. I only buy sunoco, it has to be ultra 94 for all my cars it has to be a newer station or i will keep driving on fumes I also keep driving if possible if the station is one of the multi hoses where 94 does not have its own hose and pump since it dilutes the initial pump. Told you i was more picky. Also if you want gas late at night go to the website i posted above and check it before you leave so you know the exact prices where you are at. I also went out to buy gas at dixie and 401 last night since they sell for 90 cents a litre until 4am. Everywhere else was $1.00 so for an extra 10 minute drive at 3am i got 80 litres ,10 cents cheaper to equal a $8.00 savings. Not much but still enough for me.
