  1. It may need new wiring and a new controller like many LED taillight set ups. Post the doc's up
  2. If you polish the glass to remove the scratches it will not have a direct annoyance in your vision but a subtle one where the glass is now convex and causes driver fatigue ,nausea and other odd problems. It is common on after market windshields to have customers complain of nausea and fatigue from the glass being not made completely flat causing optical distortion. You may want to try and find a person who fixes chips in windshields and see if they can fill it.
  3. If it turns over fine , it may be the security system lock out as it is too new for something to break. I would probably try and lock all the doors then open the drivers door with the key not fob and try and start the car. It is somewhat common with immobiliser systems to lock up occasionally.
  4. 91ls200k cannot receive pm's or emails as he is a new member which is a spam control policy .
  5. I went out looking for a plug in rechargable flashlight ,i found some from $10-35 .My wife saw me and i got one for christmas with some other fun toys including a 1998 celsior model that is an almost exact replica of my car with its kit. So the light is plugged in the lower console armrest and has an LED so i will check it out tommorow to see how bright it is.
  6. You can make or buy an o2 simulator ,it is as SRK said it is only a resistor that makes the ecu think it is working in the right parameters. The first 2 o2 sensors create an algorithm which the cat is supposed to flatten .So the last sensor just makes sure it is flat and not fluctuating.
  7. year? country? if you are going to gut your cats then replace the rest of the exhaust if you are doing 1/4 mile runs
  8. moved to the LS section
  9. here is oa few http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...=24822&hl=hinge http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...=17492&hl=hinge http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...?showtopic=3821
  10. Search , i always wanted to tell you that. lMAO it is because the compressor is sensing lockup but it usually shuts down the a/c system at the same time.. There is a a thread in general maintance section ( i think) on how to acess the codes through the display.
  11. Actually you should see that much voltage from an alternator but a battery hovers in the 12-13 range at the most by itself. It doesn't matter why it died as batteries always will die. If it happens again in a few days then i would want to investigate ,until then by a battery from costco for $50 and be done with the headache of anal probing it. :)
  12. It needs to have a electrical tech troubleshoot the problem . It might be a harness by the fuse bozes or under the dash which may have come undone when they did pdr if it was around the area. Otherwise a trip to the dealer may be in order on the body shops dime.
  13. One might want to search threads for trunk wires that break in the hinge arm.
  14. Your battery is dead get roadside to boost it and then go buy a new one somewhere
  15. the radio cuts out when voltage drops below a certain level so what causes voltage drops bad connections bad battery bad alternator
  16. no problem . If you email me through this board we can figure out the details.
  17. no codes? Did you remove clean or anything else during the iac procedure?
  18. Most cars use a direct coil on plug ignition system which is much more variable than a distributor can ever be. Remember those little black rods you removed from the spark plugs to access them? Those are the ignition system in one shot for each cylinder.
  19. year? Sounds like the IAC is jammed and is not working now.
  20. This story was made up by someone dumb enough not to know what hydro planning is. It just means yout tires are riding on the surface of the water not through the water ,which gives you a reduction in traction . No traction = no control ,not hydroplane and call a stewardess as it is more than impossible for a normal car to create lift. Unless it is toysrme's with the airplanewing under the engine for a diffuser.
  21. follow the actuator cable back up to the motor. Open the ducts and doors to look for obstructions.
  22. It is a very nice car but don;t put the AMG badge if it is not ,it is just tacky.
  23. no need to say sorry it wasn't made clear by me anyway.
