Part of the lip of the rim is dented so rewelding work is needed (i hit a curb). then i was told that the wheel will need to be rechromed.

Help! I damaged one of the chrome rims on my 97 es300. Where can I get it fixed or replaced for a decent price? I was that fixing it may cost as much as replacing it due to the price of refinishing the chrome. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, J

can't unlock/lock my door with wireless transmitter. I've checked the battery and it's working. It has enough power. Any suggestions on what could be the problem? I'm going to take it to my mechanic tomorrow. It's frustrating since I got very used to keyless entry and remote trunk release with the transmitter. any help would be appreciated. Thanks, J

The only visible damage I can see is where the rim hit the curb. About 2 inches of the lip of the rim (part where rim borders the tire) has been damaged. It looks like it has been flattened (hard to describe in words). I can't tell if the rim has been bent. My main concern is the suspension damage. I have left the rim with my mechanic. If you know anyone who could fix the rim in the Toronto area then let me know and I'll contact my mechanic. J

The rim can't be refinished. That's what my mechanic said. It's pretty banged up. Thanks for your help. let me know if you hear of anything.

I hit a curb over the weekend. Rim was bent. Suspension looks like it's damaged as well. I live in Toronto, Canada. Where can I get an OEM 5spoke chrome rim for 97es300? One auto wrecker quoted me $300 canadian for a used one. I was hoping to get it for a cheaper price. any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. Jason

hi, i accidentally hit a curb on the weekend and busted the rim on my 97 es300. i think there's suspension damage too because the car looks a little lower to the ground on the side where i damaged the rim. anyway, i live in toronto,canada and was wondering if anyone could tell me where i could get an original chrome rim (15 inch) for a 97 es300. thanks

Hi, I had a few questions about my 97 es300. I live in Toronto, Canada so if anyone here is in the area then I hope you can answer the questions below. Does anyone know of any independent mechanics and autbody shops in the toronto area who are good at servicing/repairing 97 es300s? Is it really worth my time to have my car serviced at a lexus dealership as opposed to an independent mechanic? Does anyone know of any good lexus dealersihps in toronto? I've had some work done at scarborough lexus but was not impressed with their service. The cigarette lighter is not working anymore. I'm pretty sure that the heating element is the root cause. Any insight on this problem and cost to repair? Lexus dealership mentioned above said I would have to replace the entire lighter and ashtray assembly at a cost of at least $350 - is that true? Any idea on cost to replace rotors and pads (candian dollars)? Is it worth going to lexus for this service or would an independent mechanic be good enough? I have a problem with the right rear strut. So I believe that both rear struts will have to be replaced...any idea on total cost including labour? Is it worth going to lexus for this type of work? I have a scratch running the length of the driver's side door? Know of any good body shop places in toronto ? Thanks in advance, J
