  1. Audio vox is a bottom of the barrel electronics maker , i can't believe they would install anything from them at a dealership other than to increase revenues. I doubt the dealer installed it but had a mobile company come and install it for about $80 and charged you about $400.
  2. If i was CT i would not make it public either. If they did it would allow the public to make a decision on other factors to compare besides gas. So if 2 gas stations are on the same corner one being CT and the other Ct's supplier then they would loose marketing ability if the cost or other incentives where greater.
  3. Borla makes GS but not an LS catback. I do not know of any one with a Borla component exhaust on an LS , who's did you hear army ?
  4. Would you go and put a lawn sign on private property and not ask? So what makes this any different, we don't know you or your affiliations. You could be as crooked as they come as you have no reputation on this board. So asking before not after is a normal and respectful thing to do!
  5. Take a taurus or a civic to best buy or any big box store. I wish people would reseach before doing something not after they do damage. Who makes the remote starter that was installed?
  6. It might be great if you asked before posting an organized event ,charity or otherwise.
  7. I think it uised to be sunoco who supplied them and pioneer shell used to provide beaver and can pro i posted on www.torontogasprices.com but got no responses
  8. Hmm not bad. I remember seeing you Y's you first made a while ago but not one makes a nice merge with low angles. I am just going to be using 2 borla 2-1 mufflers for a full length variable diameter and smooth merge for the manifold and exhaust ends. As for toys comment , i don't even know how to logically respond to that. No exhaust?
  9. closed I am going to make a perfectly clear statement for all members. If you see or read an oil thread do not respond. This was a normal thread until monarch had to through his 2 cents in for whatever reason. If you are interested in seeing the results of an syn oil in a hybrid which has not been documented then this is a great thread to watch. No one asked for your opinion on oil........period. I don't believe in closing threads because they get off topic but certain members like to play all day with who is right. No one cares or even reads it anymore after the first post. After my post anyone feeling they have to weight in on the oil debate and post in this thread will be welcomed to a 2 week vacation in the park ( otherwise known as a suspension). I hope this is wonderfully clear. There is 1 post to talk about oil and this is not it. So don't degrade the value of this post and member by debating in there thread.
  10. I know the nweer ones like mine have either bronze or green tinted glas and mirrors. The metal tint on the sunroof is bettter left alone , no one will be able to tell.
  11. I stoppped following your thread on the headers a long time ago as it got full of wasted space from others asking dumb questions. So where are you at with it now? Do you have them on your car? Did you finally dyno them and release the results?

  13. LMAO i suppose know one else would have caught that just might be that it is one and the same person. But how could someone(newbie or not) read a thread with about as much bashing a website only to say you can get something from a known price gouger. LMAO
  14. he has an ls and gs
  15. 87 octane is among the begining of your carbon build up troubles leading to knocking. If it is knocking it is pretty sever in a modern engine as they can usually !Removed!/advance the timing to elimnate it completly. get a Motorvac and use premium gas from now on.
  16. The heating element would also need thicker wiring through the clock spring as well since it would burn th enormal sized ones in there already. Otherwise you could wire the cruise control to be moved to the dash and use the wires it had as the element for the wheel heater. Second problem is getting an element inside the wheel under the leather and wood. It would be a better and more cost effictive modification to add a remote starter so the wheel and seats are nice and cozy everytime you get it. That is what i did with my LS and ES and i love it.
  17. Are the oem or aftermarket rims? I would say that when they put the rim on the machine ,it has usually 4 arms that push out to center the rim and hold it tight to install and remove the tire. When it does this you will usually hear the aluminum make small cracking noises. It probably cracked it from that if it never went flat before. It should be able to get welded by a rim repair place for $50-100 easily. Also if it is very cold where you are and the rims were cold then it is much easier to crack them. Also if the 4 arms on the machine did not have the rubber cushions installed it would increse the perssure and crack it very easily.
  18. The airbag is not as much an issue as running the wiring in the column and through a clockspring harness to be able to be wired in and allow the wheel to turn without stressing and breaking the wires.
  19. yes the 430 rims fit fine as davegs4 has them on his 98 400
  20. My 98 is just as hard to hear the signal clik on and off. You cannot replace it with another type that is louder as it is not a iso speced one but a jso. This means it is also not a simple lug and play style one with 3 ir 2 wires (iso) but has about 8 wires and 2 internal relays that also run the hazards and bulb out idicators. I removed mine from the bracket and left it to sit a bit over the carpet so now it is slightly more audible.
  21. The engine will not run if the maf is disconnected from the air intake

Jim ,do not add the website as you are being veiwed as someon looking for free advertising who joined for the sole purpose of posting it. mp3 have and never will be considered hi-fidelity. Anyone who actually enjoys listening to music will never own an mp3 player such as myself for the degradation of it. Never mind an automobile is no place for hi fidelity no matter what you do from an acoustic dimension point of view.
  23. If they had a rear seat controller for the nav then maybe it would be ok since most people driving would crash if they tried to arch into the back seat to adjust it. But allowing the driver to operate it would just be a disaster waiting to happen. Even if they made the front seat sensor activate the controls to allow changes people would find a way around it by adding books on the seat to activate the airbag and screen.
