  1. I can't see how a fuel filter is a problem only at 80-85 mph by its nature it cleans gas. So by it name it can reduce pressure if dirty ,right? Well if it reduces pressure it will cause a problem under a certain load . Now what load is changed between 80-85mph? I don't know of any changes. So by ways of reasonable deduction a fuel filter cannot cause this problem. A tps is more likely although not the first thing to look at either. What does you tranny fluid look like when is the last change? possibility of a TC lockup problem is much more probable than anything as well as a speed sensor.
  2. On the GS is there not a key hole beside the buttons to lock it out?
  3. Too many details left out to understand what your problem is as"nothing happens " is meaning less. So does the fan turn on does heat/cold air come out from where how long you know ,details.
  4. Take a rim off the car and look on the inside for who makes it. Guessing from what it looks like almost never works.
  5. SOmeone asked this question maybe 3 days ago with some real good answers on sites to look at for OEM parts
  6. The service of the t belt and tranny sound reasonable since they are repairing your engine. In all seriousness they remove the belt anyway so changing it is only a matter of a new one compared to an old one which is about $50-80. A tranny flush is $100. I would quiery them on the pricing especially since they did not tell you about it being fixed for free. BTW did you not have a thread on this before? If so post in the same one , not make new ones to update as the time line and results get lost in what happens.
  7. Anything is possible when it comes to brakes. Unless it is less than 2 years since the the last service then it is normal wear and tear. I change my wife's brakes every 8 months , i only change mine once on all my cars. I also do lots of highway and avoid traffic like the plaque.
  8. moved to the LX section what is the exact malfunction. Pretend you are at the DR. you would not say your head hurts and expect him to know what is wrong with you. Details........
  9. I am pretty sure the leather has dried and the thread has busted not because of use but UV rays have dried them out. Take the seat to an upholster and ask them.
  10. Take it to an interior detailer who does a thorough job , my guy when i am too lazy takes the front seats out an all. As well as using a bio chemical mixture to break down smells and dirt ( probably pine-sol ) but it works great and does not smell. Other than that buy an auto ionizer and leave ti plugged in 24 hours a day for about a week and it will reduce the smell ,but to remove it totally it will need cleaning.
  11. When you say bumpers you are talking about the rubber bump stops not the front impact bumper of the car ,right?
  12. Why not do what every other Toyota/Lexus owner does and bypass the wiring behind it permentaly. This also allows you to input destination and use your phone while driving. 5 wires and about 40 minutes to simple driving away.
  13. You do need to lube it atleast at every oil change. It does get dirty,
  14. Buy & Sell Forums on the main page
  15. I think he means to turn on all the interior lights as well as the dome light. And no, there is no interior light switch , unlike most other cars if not all toyota does not seem to think a complete int turn on is needed.
  16. There is a place called wheel fix , they do mine and are local but i don;t think they do chroming. I would fix the rim if it is bad and then decide if you even want to bother chroming them again.
  17. that is not a stock rims , you need to find out who makes it as it looks like a real 2 peice rim
  18. ANy hot start issues on the RX is the IACV as it is the same with the ES300 Serach the term it has been covered many times with pics
  19. There is no rubber boot along the door jam on the frame that has the pin switch inside?
  20. 94 ES 300 with a 1mz-fe was the worlds first OBD-2 compliant car. So Yes your car is OBD-2. Second the connector is located inside the fuse panel to the left of the steering wheel. Pop off the cover and it is in there.
