  2. does anybody know of a way to turn on all the interior lights on the 05 rx? :chairshot: cars i've owned in the past have had a switch turn turn on the dome lights the same as if you open the door. usually it was the same switch that adjusted the dashboard lights. thanks.

  6. from what i understand, your phone has to be on the "default" ringer for it to ring thru the car. i have not tried it since i always have my phone on vibrate on my hip. just my 2 cents.
  7. do you have navi? if so i have heard of people putting the navigation bypass switch in there...just my 2 cents.
  8. i had this problem when i got my 330. it took almost 4 mos to get it all worked out. when it was all said and done they said it was because: 1) it was built in japan and those take longer to get into the system (which i'm not sure i believe :cries: 2) it depends on how fast the dealership submits the buyers info to lexus. hope that gives you some hope.
  9. if you can use cingular, i would. i have an '05 rx330 and i use me bluetooth. i have the motorola V551. it works great. of course i'm speaking only on the fact that it works, service areas vary as reception goes. as far as i know that is one of the only bluetooth capable phones that cingular offers, that is why i got it. my only complaint is the phonebook issue that has been mentioned on different threads. the fact that you can only add/synch one entry at a time is kinda time consuming, but IMHO it is worth it. i'm in southern california and have had good luck w/ cingular, i used to be with nextel (huge mistake) and i'm glad i switched.
  10. i'm a mercury agent in southern california and my clients use safelite glass all the time. the fact that they do the service onsite is a added bonus. keep us posted regarding your experience.
  11. i've got the v551 and i need to know if there is a way to disable the handsfree selectivly, like if someone is in the car and you don't want the speaker blasting your whole conversation. i'm sure i could disable it before the call if i knew someone was going to be in the car w/ me...but it would be nice to know. thanks all.
  12. that sounds better...i'm actually an insurance agent, and have been for several years, and you had me thinkin i was loseing my mind also keep in mind that california is a whole different "animal" than most states...we make EVERYTHING more difficult then it needs to be.
  13. How does the uninsured motorist coverage work ? Am I eligible even if I was not there at the time of the incident (which is what happened in my case). ← most companies if not all insurance companies do not cover "phantom" drivers. so no the uninsured motorist coverage does not apply. you could file a claim but it would count as a collision claim and most likely your insurance rates would go up. hope that answers your question. ;)
  14. wow...sorry to hear about the "bad" salesperson. there has been a thread around here that had some opinons on the extended warranty. i for one am a firm believer in them, but NOT the one purchased from a dealership. i know for a fact that you can cancel that part of it and get your money back. they may give you some B.S. about having to change your financing, etc. but don't be fooled. these "sales" people are doing exactly that...selling! as for the other issues good luck.
