  1. A worn key will not cause the problem as it is only the switch on the back of the lock is not correctly shorting the pins to tell the alarm ecu that a door was manually unlocked . The cylinder needs to be looked at inside the door.
  2. No i don't get any beep. That also explains why it may not sound as hard as mine as it is not a perfect box. My original box is ported but is not made like any normal one i have seen before. I don't think JL even sells the H.O. box by itself to add a driver to later on.
  3. Is it the real JL H.O. box with inner red carpet or a generic one made to the speakers specs?
  4. If you want less roll but not height then you just need new roll bars.
  5. RIPS regulated internal power supply. It adjusts the output according to the line voltage
  6. If you press the pedal all the way down then quickly reengage it does it apply faster and with more force?
  7. My amp was set up by a pro and it thumps way too much even with the bass turned down and the fader forward. I can't take a pic of the amp buttons/switches as it is mounted and hidden on the end of the trunk. Becuase of the rips it will change the output if you have a weak charging output. It takes about 3-4 minutes of driving before it will start to run hard .
  8. I didn;t think there was any fuel pump cut off. Should not be very hard to turn the cams. Now you removed the alarm but did you disconnect all the relays that it came with and reattach them?
  9. Please explain what the car dieing means?
  10. Common problem , buy some PB blaster and let it sit a few hours and reapply it should loosen the rust.
  11. Check your intake pipe for rips/cracks
  12. Are you sure the efi relay is working as well? I think the alarm is messed up and the wire either disconnected or grounded out which is causing the fuel pump not to engage. You should be able to hear the pump from the drivers seat just by turning the key to on.
  13. Are you sure they are well tightened as well. If so then get an alternator check
  14. You need to remove the relay for the fogs and run wires . one to a constant 12vdc power source ,preferable one that only turns off with the car. Using the fuse box is easiest. one to the fog light switch on the steering column the foglight output wire is the same You are going to need to be able to do wiring and remove parts of your dash to get to it. There is a complete tutorial on here somewhere
  15. I agree you need a new ball joint.
  16. All depends on what you add. I have 1 10 and i had to turn the amp down as it was way more bass than i ever could want.
  17. The factory sub wire attaches to the speaker wire then the adapter which has the rca ,nothing else to it.
  18. agreed to many posts on this same problem
  19. No web link for the adapter as i got it from the same store. JL is not supposed to be sold on the web which is probably why you are having a hard time finding the stuff. Did you check ebay? The sub wires are connected to some speaker wire, which is then connected to the adapter which has one side plugged into the amp. Do you have a premium or nakamichi system?
  20. Ahh not problem. You need to check the oil first thing of the day before you start the car otherwise it will always coat the stick and be hard to read. SOme cars are harder than others. But none can be read while the engine is running.
  21. I would clean and lube that switch then .
  22. The spin with no starting noise is the solenoid not engaging the starter to the engine itself.
  23. Fuel pump is in the trunk where the fuel tank is wedged between the tunk and rear seat. If the car has an aftermarket alarm then there is no use trying to repair the car until it is either taken out or disabled. If it has a switch that lights up the LED then you want to have the LED on as that is valet mode and disables the alarm and its starter or fuel pump kill. Try turning the switch on so the led lights then starting the car. Also see if you can find where the alarm is installed and disconnect the harness.
  24. Good find , that is a dirt cheap price of $10-15 as i used to spend about $35-50 for it but it is so worth it as many of there product are very good to excellence in application and finish.
