  1. Does anyone know if after fitting new sensors do you have to disconnect the battery to make the light on the dash go out. Thanks.
  2. Sorry but I do not remember who was selling the complete mirrors with the in-built indicators or even if they were for an LS400. They might have been for an LS430 or GS. There is an old, lengthy thread on clublexus.com about signal mirrors -- the thread may have links to sellors. I have also seen at least one post on clublexus.com about adapting Mercedes mirrors for use on Lexus cars. All these options were very expensive. Doesn't your U.K. spec LS400 have side mounted indicators or is it an "import". It is very easy to add side turn signals to cars that do not already have them. I bought OEM side turn signals and the required repair harness from a U.K. dealer shortly after I bought my first LS in 1990. I had them professional installed by a body shop - total cost was probably less than $150. Yes it does I have just changed the side repeaters to clear from orange to match the front clear indicators, makes a big improvement in looks. It was just that if I could have got some decent signal mirrors at a decent price I would have liked them but its not the end of the world. I would rather go without than have something that does not look right.
  3. Thank you all for the feedback, dont suppose you know where they were selling complete mirrors.
  4. Does anyone know where I can purchase wing mirror indicators for my 1994 Lexus. Has anyone got them. Thanks.
  5. Not that good with suspension, the part I am looking to replace is item no10 on the diagram in rear suspension at Park Place at $83.49 is that the same as you are talking about Arkansawyer. Yes if you order it from Lexus it comes complete....arm and bushing. Thanks for your help with this. As a matter of interest Sewells have the bush for sale under service items not sure if it is oem or the poly bush as I thought Lexus did not supply the bush on its own.
  6. Thanks for the replies. Not that good with suspension, the part I am looking to replace is item no10 on the diagram in rear suspension at Park Place at $83.49 is that the same as you are talking about Arkansawyer. I am going to get the local garage to fit it for me and its seems to show the part complete with bush or do I just buy the bush.
  7. Just had my 1994 ls 400 in for its yearly MOT in the UK and am pleased to say it passed. The vehicle inspector noted that the rear lower suspension arm bush/pin had some slight play. I would like to replace this in the near future to keep the car up together. My question is this, is it a big job to complete, also does the arm come complete with bush or is it a seperate item. Thanks.
  8. Have done so and its sorted. Thanks for your help. Andy.
  9. Thanks for that,so no mods required then thats good. Can you purchase online as i could not find them onsite.
  10. I would like to purchase some clear side repeaters for my 94 mk2. I have the clear indicators at the front but cannot find any side repeaters in the UK. Can anyone help with this. Thanks Andy.
  11. What rotors and pads are you using.
  12. all you have to do is right click the page and scroll down to translate to english. all the things that have 10fzf by it are for the first generation ls. you also need a currency converter to know how much money in us dollars. pretty good stuff on that site ← FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE THICK AND NOT GOOD WITH COMPUTERS CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHERE I FIND THE TRASLATE TO ENGLISH. THANKS
  13. There has been some debate on the UK Ls forums about transmission oil. I only use Toyota T-1v Atf as I heard that using other makes can cause problems and its not worth the hassle of future problems by trying to save a few pounds. As a matter of interest what do you people use. I expect we are paying double what you pay.
  14. I had mine replaced last week I brought the glass from Lexus as the non oem did not have the heater element. It is held in by plastic clips you will see when you purchase new glass. One tip I can offer is to place the glass in warm/hot water to make the clips more supple prior to fitting.
