  1. I have a 90 Ls and wonder if any of you know if it can be used four wheels down as as tow "Toad" behind a Prevost Motor Home. Would I have to disconnect the drive shaft?
  2. Welcome to the forum. A lot of help here. Don't know about the seats but I seem to recall someone taking a stab at it. Do a search and see if it helps. Congratulations.
  3. Great looking car,the price is resonable and the mileage is awesome. Congratulations!! You wont be disappointed.
  4. Looks to be silver with a gray bottom.
  5. Please let me add that the Germans are the best in the world at analog Engineering and build solid vehicles but the reliabilty problems surfacing are because of Digital components and they lag the Japanese and Americans. Therein lies the dependability issue, in my humble opinion
  6. I've owned three Mercedes in my lifetime and loved them all. But, they were pre 1991. A dear friend of mine who owned four also exclaimed to me in 1991 after driving his Lexus said something I never forgot. " I honestly think this Lexus is better quality" and we never looked back. He has more money than I do. It seems as if Mercedes has lowered it's standards in the last few years be it the Euro or Corporate pencil pushing. Lexus has maintained it's quality standards, as far as I know. I have a 1990 and can still be tacken aback by the engineering from that era. If you want a solidly built car with few headaches then it's Lexus. If you are looking for a pinnacle and status with a price then it is Mercedes. The only Mercedes I would entertain if I had a backup is the S55 only because Lexus has not stepped up to that league.
  7. I assume you know about the shift lock button, if you have one on a 94 or you are aware you have to have your foot on the brake when you shift out of Park.
  8. Happened to me and It was a loose battery connection. Looked alright but I could twist it with my hands. Tightened and all was okay.
  9. Great Thrill, Great car. Congratulations, you won't be disappointed>
  10. Congratulations to both new members, The best car, bar none. Hope you have years of pleasure and help from LOC. Again, Congratulations!!!!! :D
  11. lexdiamond, I believe it is what makes you happy, The clear ones are definitely more modern looking and old ones more conservative. Which are you? Go with your gut.
  12. Hi Wilfred, Would be indicative of Universal Joint, and I'm not sure of the Lexus drive train or transmission mounts or motor mounts, none serious. I'm sure someone here will have a better grip on it as I have not experienced it. Regards
  13. Lexus LF-A Concept with New GS in Background Opinions?
  14. KY350- Yes, your assumptions are somewhat correct. They more than likely will feel soft as they are Lexus quality but I have found that a treatment will dampen wind noise as well. That tells me that after 14 or so years they need rejuvenation and also the silicone helps to repel moisture. You could have developed a pinhole which would be difficult for the naked eye or a slight tear from the bonding. Good Luck.
  15. The power steering could be either low on Dextron III fluid or the pump is starting to go or the screen filters are clogged. Check your level at the pump. The A/C problem is insufficient or no R12, if it hasn't been converted to 134. I see you are in Miami and I would ask around for a reliable Cuban Mechanic who would do a leak test for you before adding freon. Having lived there a while I know they exist. A rebuilt pump, if needed, should run you in the 120-140 dollar range. PACE in tampa can supply you with A/C parts. Use key words "Power Steering"and then "A/C" or "air conditioning" etc. in this forum as there is a lot of information in regards to both your problems. A good mechanic would not mind if you brought him the parts.
  16. I would try silicone spray first. Which would make the seal more pliable. I would do all the seals on all the doors and I do it annually as preventative maintenance. If that fails you should go to a body shop and have the seal replaced or if you are handy or know someone who is, order it from Lexus.
  17. I have been beatting my head about a rattle in the rear for almost two years now. It would come and go. Well lately, I have isolated it to the gas tank and noticed when I fill up, no rattle. 1/4 tank and less rattle. Now that tank and I have a date, do you guys have an idea as to whether I should attack from the trunk or back seat?
