  1. PACE in your neighborhood (Tampa) can probably help you. http://www.auto-air-compressor.com/filter.htm
  2. Go here for the pictures. http://www.slidetour.com/3d/Template?Listi...42541935&view=2
  3. If you are interested in a 93 SC 400 go to buy and sell forums. Thanx
  4. 93 400 SC needs TLC. Engine is strong. 192,000 miles. Pearl White with Gold Package. AC compressor is bad. Oxy Sensors bad. Steering wheel leather needs to be replaced. Tires need to be replaced. Parking lot hit on driver side rear quarter panel. Nakamichi 12 disc with usual problems. Some dash lights are out. But lcd's appear okay. Leather need restoration but no tears. Timing belt service done at 105,000 miles. Some front end work has been done. Gold package needs re-fresh. I don't have time to fix but would be a great project car at $2,600.00
  5. You can buy the evaporator for $199.00 at Pace in Tampa http://www.auto-air-compressor.com/default.htm
  6. Can't help with the seat back other than you should remove the motor and find the broken piece. As for the leather I had great luck here http://www.leatherworldtech.com/
  7. Thanks for the info. The lock appears to be loose, so I guess I'll have to go in from the panel.
  8. Seems to be the evaporator inside and under and behind the glove box. type in "evaporator" under the forums.
  9. Sorry, that is confusing. What I meant to say is that the alarm comes on at the driver's side with the key turned and can only be turned off at the passenger door with the key turned.
  10. As soon as I turn the key on the driver door it goes off then I have to go to the passenger door with the key and turn and it goes off.
  11. Hi Guys, I have a problem with the driver's door in that if I use the key and open it the alarm goes off. I have to unlock from the passenger side. Any ideas?
  12. better yet have him do a leak test.
  13. If it doesn't engage that would indicate there is no freon and the pressure switch will not allow it to engage. Go have a set of gauges put on it by a mechanic and add freon.
  14. My understanding is that the inline filter is not necessary since most of the lexus hoses are metal lined not rubber. But, if the compressor trashed itself it would be a good idea to filter the shavings. As far as Tampa compressors I found out about them on this forum and everyone found them helpful and knowledgeable. They also sell on E-Bay and have a high feedback rating.
  15. Appears to be different clutch assemblies but same compressor
  16. This is where to get a compressor http://www.auto-air-compressor.com/default.htm
  17. Best Buy has the headrest monitors for the LX470 but not the LS430 but someone does because I have seen them on a 430.
  18. I saw a 430 in Houston with monitors behind each front seat. Try this link http://www.lexus.com/models/rx/interior.html
  19. I had the same problem and it was the battery terminal connector. Since it is a new battery make sure the connectors are tight.
  20. Sometimes the catalytic converter will clear itself of build up and then be back to normal.
  21. Your money would be better spent by buying an after market system at say "Circuit City" instead of trying to fix something that never worked that well in the first place. Lexus will rake you over the coals fixing it.
  22. Pace in Tampa. Here is the Link http://www.auto-air-compressor.com/default.htm
  23. More than likely you are out of freon caused by a leak. Take it in for a pressure leak test.
  24. It won't spin unless the a/c is on. Activated by a solenoid. Turn your a/c on and see if it spins. If not, there is a pressure switch for freon and it will not let it spin if the freon is depleted. If your bearings are bad it could have broken the seal inside the compressor and thus a loss of freon. Or a leak somewhere else. A dye during re-charge should let you know. Good luck.
