  2. as of 5pm my time, the project has been put on hold due to fitment issues. (jdmparts_guru check your email) but here is a taste of what is to come.
  3. 96LexES300, I have merged your identical posts to eliminate simultaneous posting. This way we are all on the same page. In the future, rather than posting twice, you could try posting once in the forum that will get you the most viewing or responces. In the other forum you could post a link to the primary post. Have a mod close the linking post so that members will reply to one and only one thread. It is so much less confusing this way. steviej.
  4. I am waiting for the second set of hands to get home to help me mount it. be patient grasshopper. steviej
  5. correction: all the way through 2003. In 2004 the engine code became 3MZ-FE with the advent of the ES 330. steviej
  6. Why not just get a Die Hard Gold for $70 at Sears? steviej
  7. for those that didn't take latin in school. caveat emptor = Buyer Beware!!!!! steviej
  8. didn't get the entire price. The chrome strip alone was about $11. I can tell you this. To replace the four taillight assemblies with the 2005 assemblies. $750!!!!! maybe next week. steviej
  9. Chrome strip is a no go for my car for now. I already looked into the chrome strip. The chrome strip actually sits in a a ridge/depression so that the outer surface has a smooth transition from painted to chrome. To make this the same on my car I would have to order the entire assembly. The chrome strip as well as the part of the trunk that houses the license plate lights (that's the painted part) would have to be replaced. The down side is that the ridged trunk piece that houses the chrome strip is from the 2005 ES and 1CO (millen. silver) is not a factory paint option anymore. It don't come in my color. However, I could always have it repainted. steviej
  10. nope, dem's already on da truck. steviej

  14. thanks for the support. :P sj
  15. walk around the car with the engine bay open. see if you can't hear or pinpoint the whirrrr. could be a defective fuel pump or one on its way out. This sound would actually come from around the area of under the back seat and under the trunk and not the engine bay. steviej
  16. Just took it out of the box and it is a fine piece of workmanship. What is it you ask?................................I can't tell you. :whistles: You will have to wait and see the pics that I post once it is mounted on my ES. Weather permiting, this Saturday. until then. steviej
  17. as did my 02 at 30,000 miles last winter. belts replaced....squeal on startup gone. steviej
  18. looks like from the bottom edge of the side windows and up got pinched in. That means less shoulder room......not good for me. Kinda looks almost like a Saab from a few angles. we'll see. steviej
  19. I didn't hear that. :chairshot: Why not us? steviej
  20. did you take the spare tire out. May be an extra lug nut down in the compartment? Are you sure it is braking related and not suspension? steviej
  21. buuuut....................it may answer a question and be of help to someone here. steviej
  22. We have no problems cause we don't go out until the roads are plowed. Here all seasons are adequate. Very seldom do I drive on deep (>4 inches) unplowed roads. If I traveled before the plows got out and did alot of driving on unplowed snowy roads......I would put a snow tire on each corner of the car. And like mentioned before, I would have dedicated steel rims for these tires. steviej
  23. how about some more information: what tires are on there, what is the actual tread depth? Pictures would most definately help you sale. most of all, how about a way to contact you. PM function is unavailable until you have >= 20 posts. please read the rules and guidelines above, as well as the rules and guidelines in the Buy & Sell forum and supply the necessary information. steviej
  24. have a most wonderful day and post lots of pics. steviej
