  1. I would not shoot in the dark to try to fix an issue like that. Do you have a code reader that has all the Toyota/Lexus codes?

  3. You might want to check with the parts person at a Lexus dealership by asking if the part numbers are the same. You can also look at one of the OEM Lexus parts sellers. Just search for that title; you'll find a few, at least.
  4. The hose in the image looks like it has a steel tube in it. Yours looks like a simple rubber tubing length. You can drive your vehicle over to an auto parts store, remove the tubing and show it to the counter person. They should have the right size, sold by the foot.
  5. It could still be the battery or your driving habits (short distance trips). You can check for parasitic drain by doing the following: Testing for Parasitic Draw with a Multimeter | Test Meter Pro
  6. I see you're in a cold area; I'd think that remote starts really come in handy. I can remember as a teen and for ten years during Winter months, sitting in my car, shivering uncontrollably until the heater was able to push out warm air into the cabin.
  7. It looks like you can't use your remote to lock or unlock your doors. Is that true? This certainly does not reflect historical Lexus customer service. They replaced our dash after 10 years. That was really impressive. Hopefully enough owners will complain enough to spur Lexus into action. 3G Wireless Services Update (lexus.com)
  8. Anytime!
  9. Sometimes cleaning the injectors helps with drivability issues.
  10. There is an automatic transmission oil cooler: 2018 Lexus LS 500 Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler. AIR, Driveline, COOLING - 3291048010 - Genuine Lexus Part Does it look like the drawing in the link?
  11. Is this the procedure you used? Park your vehicle outside the garage. Hold your original garage door remote one to three inches away from the in-vehicle HomeLink control buttons. Simultaneously press the button on your remote control unit and the button you want to use on your in-vehicle HomeLink system. Hold until the HomeLink indicator flashes repeatedly, then changes to solid. Press the HomeLink button twice to activate. If the HomeLink button operates the garage door, you’re done. If it doesn’t, and the HomeLink indicator flashes continuously, you have a “rolling code” system, and you will need to proceed to the next step: In your garage, find the “smart” or “learn” button on your garage door opener motor (should be on the back near the hanging antenna wire). Press and release the smart or learn button. Within the next 30 seconds, return to your vehicle and press the desired HomeLink button three times. If so, at what step did you have an issue?
  12. If your 12V battery is good, did you check for loose battery cable clamps, especially the negative one? I think the clue is "going over bumps in the road". This often indicates a loose or slightly corroded connection somewhere.
  13. Did it start happening without any recent tire or wheel changes? Did you or the dealership tech reset the sensors? Lexus Tire Pressure Sensor Reset | Ira Lexus of Danvers, MA
  14. You might want to have the coolant flushed/replaced. Sometimes an air bubble will slow down or stop coolant circulation.
  15. Some aftermarket rotors are coated so that this is far less likely to happen but as Bykfixer mentioned, it's strictly cosmetic. Once you apply the brakes, it'll disappear.
  16. Just get the LC500 and be done with it! I do like the IS500 but I don't really need the extra room. Of course, I LOVE the Lotus Emira with supercharged (by Edelbrock) Toyota V6 engine. That's probably a 1.5 year wait, however.
  17. Did you try replacing the key fob battery?
  18. Here's a good comparison article about scanners. There are many really cheap ones out there that are not included in this list, but I don't think I would trust them for anything but a quick code read. The best OBD-II scanners in 2022 | Tom's Guide (tomsguide.com) You can also check to see if your neighborhood auto parts store allows you to borrow a reader. I've seen store employees go out and read the codes for the customer, who can then write them down.
  19. Have you looked up any local auto upholstery shops? I had one (shop owner) replace my MX5 seat cover with an OEM one.
  20. Hello, Jeremy. I suggest that you have your battery load-tested. Having lots of failures, simultaneously often points to a failing battery or bad ground connection. Make certain your battery cable connections are secure and not corroded.
  21. Hello, Mike. Have you had any codes read? That would be the first thing I'd do. Next, take a look at this post and all the correspondence that followed.
  22. This information appears to be difficult to uncover. However, this document was released, this year: Android Auto™ (lexus.com) In it is a paragraph that explains how to establish a wireless Android Auto™ connection.
  23. That may be a failing brake booster check valve. This page shows where it is located. It looks to be fairly easy to replace. 2015 Lexus RX 350 Power Brake Booster Check Valve - 4473022150 - Genuine Lexus Part The part itself is less than $45.
  24. Happy Thanksgiving! It's 9:00 AM and already 72 degrees here. Needless to say, it'll be a wonderful day.🙂
