I just got my 06 Forester XT tinted with 22% Solar Gard HP-Charcoal series tint (it's a 'medium shade')......I will post pics soon & the car looks just awesome & the job itself was fantastic. I got a heck of a deal as well for those in & around the Toronto area if they are interested in getting their vehicle tinted.....I'm happy to steer you in the right direction. B) I find the 35% shade too light as over time no matter what brand of tint one uses it will fade........were talking about the sun here after all. ;)

We have the 35% limit on the front windows as well here in Ontario which I agree is too light. I just got back this morning from picking my 06 Forester XT from the tint shop.......I used 22% on all windows (which is a medium shade). It's pouring rain here so I haven't had a chance to take pics of the car, but it looks awesome & I got a fantastic deal. The shop used Solar Gard HP-Charcoal series 22% film along with a computer laser machine for a perfect fit & no cuts on the seals of the doors....is scratch resistant with a lifetime warranty. B) The three most popular tint brands for quality are Solar Gard, Llumar & Diamond window films.......3M is also a popular choice too.

My 01 was never that bad to be honest. :)

Don't pour any more $$$ into the car if your getting rid of it bud.......unless your getting an offer you can't refuse. B) If you want a car you can mod like crazy, consider getting a Subaru Impreza WRX or STi. :D

I've had the chance to drive both cars in the past........didn't see, hear, smell or feel any similarities at all to be honest........and the Five Hundred is so under powered with the 3L V6 it's not even funny (I won't even comment on the AWD model). Ford really dripped the ball by not bringing that model (as well as the Freestyle & Lincoln Zephyr......er sorry, the now MKZ) to market with their new 3.5L V6. :whistles:

What kind of minivan does the other driver have? That's a pretty wide area of damage.

Josh you never mentioned so I will assume they don't but will ask anyways (I know your wife's friend had her arm banged up from the impact).......does the Martix have side impact airbags? They have been known to cause injuries depending on how the person was sitting & type of impact at low speeds is the reason I ask.
