  1. You mean this: That will be 1995.
  2. I saw my friends neighbor washing his car. First he sprayed glass cleaner on the wheels and washed the car then after washing he used the same glass cleaner to wipe them, like cleaning a mirror. What's the scope on this?
  3. :D Yeah. Sure makes me proud to be a Lexus owner. :D
  4. Well, be specific about your maintance. For example: if you had new suspension that costed you about $1,000 or so; you should point these kinds of things. If you don't have any major maintance done to it but your car is in great stock condition; then my prognosis is that they will only set your car at an excellent book value of retail, [$6,500 is above excellent "private party"]. Check Kelly's Blue Book value for us [since we dont' know about all your cars options]. From my view, I think if they do bump up they will go as high as $7,300.
  5. All right. We'll all check them. :)
  6. I mentioned this in your post, wandawoods. That my father was in an accident and the insurace guy called it a total and we bought the car back. He gave us the check and at that point he deducted the amount of the car. No auction. I guess all insuraces work differently. And, may be just may be if they think that they will get more money from the auction then you, than they might take that auction route [just my guess]. Because
  7. I thought this was just my imagination. I bought this car in winter, January 2004, and it has gotten hot now, and one day I had an open house for a college and I had to park in the hot sun [that day was the highest of the year yet, 82 degrees] for about 10 hours :cries: . And, when I came back my LCD was back to normal, [completely perfect]. And as I was getting out of the parking lot the car felt a lot better and on the highway there was very very less vibration than normal.
  8. No, I didn't meant that they don't sell 93-94 LCDs. But, in Janurary or Feburary I contacted him by e-mail and he said that he does not have 93-94 LCDs as of now, but they will get some in June. [maybe they have it now......]
  9. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=9131&st=0 In the above post Blake has mentioned that it is either BR or CR 1216. Yesterday, I purchased Energizer CR1216 and it fits perfectly. And, like I mentioned in the above link that it works 10-15 feet away from the car. Taking the top cover out is a little hassle. There is only one screw that holds it together. A little below the loop [part that where the key chain goes] thats where the top part and the bottom part are attached together [like lock&key]. You just have to use a little more pressure to get it out. There is NO way you are going to damage the interior of the key. Below is a picture key without the cover, as you can see everything is protected so you can not damage anything. Except, there are some metal pieces in the hole, where the battery fits in to, this is the only part that you have to be carefull with. As you can see, this is my second key and when I bought it did not have the top cover; thats why it does not have the small metal pieces that hold the battery in place. The key looks a lot older and dirtier than what it realy is. It seems that way because the pictures is zoomed in alot. Plus, it has been without the front cover for, I guess a long time [crazy last owners]. Overall, just you a little more power. It is not going to break, if you are carefull with it.
  10. Your car is all stock right? Have you experienced any handling problems, since running at a high psi causes this. and ?
  11. B) Cool, can't wait to see the pics.
  12. Well most of it depends on it maintance records. But as a guide you can use www.kbb.com [kellys blue book].
  13. We all been mis informed; I check the distance and the remote works within 10-15 feet radius. I guess people just had old batteries in the keys.
  14. There are A LOT of posts about this topic in this forum with different solutions. It will take you about an hour or so to go through all of them. But, what about wheel aligment; is your steering wheel in the center? What about Tire pressure, are they set at what Lexus recommends? Are the tires any good? These cars are very very sensitive when it comes to suspension.
  15. I think this would be a really great post for the new potential lexus owners and for the present ones. Since this is my first rear wheel drive car, I would like to know more about what your opinions are toward Rear wheel and Front wheel drive cars, both advantages and disadvantages of them.
  16. Sorry, I can't help you their. But, try sending a PM [personal message] to a moderator. Here is the list of the moderators: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ts&CODE=leaders
  17. JTWilson23: I'm really sorry to hear that. I love the color of your car in&out. I didn't quite understand your situation. So, you were going straight and came up upon a stop or intersection [lets say] and you slowed down but you lost control and turned all the way around, making a U turn or 180 degree turn. In other words blended in with the on coming traffic? Did your LS have any suspension problems or anything like that? Because this is very serious, that the tires had such a big impact that you lost control [without getting hit by anything]. The reason why I'm asking you is that because [like we all know that the suspension&handling on these cars are very sensitive] my Dad doesn’t listen to me; even our mechanic has told him where&how the tires are caved in but he thinks that they are alright for now!! I think the reason why is that the tires that are on the car right now are $92 each and $368 for all 4. This is to my dad: :chairshot:
  18. It most likely is the other way around. When I came back I tested it when it was sitting in the garage and raining outside; so I didn't mess with it enough to memorize that. The light flashes? What light are you referring to? Is that only in Gen. II. Or am I missing something . I'll post the maximum distance that the key works in, tomorrow.
  19. The same way you posted this topic. Here is the homepage of the forums: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php
  20. Got it for $3.84 Energizer CR1216 3.0v Works real great. There is a beep when unlocking it then two beeps after locking it; except that theirs no flashing headlight/taillights.
  21. MANNNNNNN, I just put my shoes on in the laundry room to go off to radio shack for the second time today, and then decided come back to check back in here to see if anybody responded. Thankkkkkkkkkkkkk you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. How about you show us the pics of the reflector you want to put on and the pics of your SUV. Then we can look at both of them and predict how they might look together.
