  1. hell yea thats what im talkin about. ive been wanting my car to do that, it used to.. looking forward to see the pics. after i get mine redone i'll post some pics. had to pay for that ticket the other day
  2. start with the little stuff make sure your tires are inflated all the way. i would also check the hose on the intake. theres 2 of them the smaller one is a power steering assist valve and makes it easier to turn the wheel. if theres no problems there i would check the pump itself. put your hand down there and touch the bottom of it and see if theres any moisture. one more question, when you turn your wheel does your rpm meter jump up or does it bog down?
  3. could be off time. check to see if the white lines on the timing belt line up with the line on the cam. my car was off a tooth and it ran on 5 cylinders. this will also cause it to run rich.
  4. yea i noticed i lost some on the low end. but when im goin 60 and i stomp it i get to 100 easy. did you gain some of the low end power back with the x pipe?
  5. im gonna try to take a video with my phone and put it onto the computer. it might look like crap but hopefully you can see it. sorry jcrome didnt see your earlier post. i have s&s headers 2.25 in exhaust all the way back, true duals, and crappy 25 dollar flo master mufflers. if i had the usb cable for my phone id upload a video or at least some pics. hopefully i'll have one soon.
  6. yea i was very surprised he was like do you know why im stopping you tonight? and i was just like no sir. and he was like your car is loud, do you have an exhaust leak or mufflers? pretty much ruined my night and the fact that i wouldnt have even go that ticket if i didnt have to pick up my stupid ex from work. probably gonna order some mufflers tomorrow. hopefully i'll be able to record some audio of it before it gets quieter.

  8. when i took it into get tranny work done it was off 2 teeth on the passenger cam gear. probably got this done about a month ago. ive got to the sensor, noticed it looked like the actual sensor part got pinched in the cover. cant get it out though not enough clearance.
  9. still working on the camshaft sensor can see it but cant get the phillips head screw off, not enough clearance. once i get her running like she should im gonna get the mufflers done.
  10. ok guys got the o2's fixed and the lean cel code i was gettin went away. now im thinkin the cam position sensor is making it run rich. does anyone have a diy for it? i got the sensor but looks hard to get too, gotta take off a pulley and a few bolts. im changing the one on the passenger side.
  11. if i bought another cam sensor would it fit on the otherside? im pretty sure you're right though python the timings dead on it just got set. wouldnt it throw rpm sensor 1 and 2 if they were both bad?
  12. that's what i asked them and they said they just had one. i mean does it work for both sides? or is there a right and left im sure there is. where would i get the connectors for the sensors? would autozone/nappa have some?
  13. thanks alot guys ordered the camshaft position sensor and 2 primary o2's cant wait to see the difference. 300 dollars worth of sensors too they're expensive. hope this finally solves the problems!
  14. one more ? though, are the primary o2's the ones in the manifold or the ones after the cats?

  16. ok well im gonna get the o2's fixed i thought those were the problem. i got the car put back on time and its still on time, it idles perfect, just doesnt go like it should.
  17. ok i have a 94 so its obd1, i got codes 13, 25, 26 which was strange. 25 is air to fuel lean and 26 is air to fuel rich and 13 is the rpm signal no.2 any ideas about this one guys?
  18. they're some cheap 25 dollar flo masters. they sound really good kinda gives it that muscle car tone but its too loud apparently. but yea the borla mufflers are sposed to be alot quieter but they're about 160 bucks a piece. i emailed borla about which model to use havent heard from them yet. maybe after i get my new mufflers installed i'll let you know what i think about them. yea i remember the old sewing machine sound my brother said the same thing till he got smoked by a 2 ton luxury car in a sports car.
  19. has any one tried them on their car yet? i hear they have the best performance and the least amount of noise. i got a ticket the other day in my car for it being loud and i was like wtf i never have got one in my life and ive been pulled over a few times. well all in all it was my 1st ticket and at least i dont have points on my license because it wasnt a traffic violation.
  20. yea that sounds about like what my car was doing. there was a short in it, and when the car got really hot the relay shorted out from all the heat. i kno sounds crazy but thats what happened to me. sounds to me though you might have another problem besides the relay though.
  21. my car would cut off, after it had been running a while and then the next day it would run fine, then after i had driven it a while it would die and id have to keep my foot on the gas pedal. turns out it was my fusebox, and one of the relays for the fuel pump, check ALL the electrical stuff.
  22. timing was off 2 teeth on the left cam pulley, it still ran on 8 cylinders but the valves were opening at different times and it was running rich the timing was a little bit advanced.
  23. so heres the new problem. ive got my car back it runs great the tranny shifts phenomenal. my mechanic pulled out the plugs that had been changed about 2k miles ago, and they're black. my exhaust is black, i have an egr delete kit b/c of the ss headers, no cats and got the exhaust leaks fixed. about 6 months ago though the car jumped timing. it got reset and im wondering if the timing is still off just a bit, could that cause it to run rich? im freaking out guys i want this thing fixed! seems like theres more pressure coming out of one side of the passenger side exhaust than the driver.
  24. so after seeing no change in my car after i changed the fluid i decided to take it into the shop. my tranny guy called me up to look at it and the clutch plates looked burnt. the new plates he showed me still had the numbers from the manufacturer. im gettin the whole thing rebuilt everything inside the case will be brand new and hes puttin in a new torque converter. i'll let you all know how she runs afterward.
  25. check the fuses for the radio, one of them could have blown, but if thats not the case it sounds like the amp. does the radio still come on?
