well this mechanic that was installing them told me they wouldnt fit because of the steering column? sooo.... ive taken it to a shop that's owned by one of my friends relatives so hopeully i'll find something out

well i noticed when i got the headers from s&s they didnt have a place for the egr pipe. i talked to the master mechanic at lexus and he said other than the check engine light being on and gettin about 2-3 mpg less it shouldnt affect the way it runs. tomorrow it should be finished. good thing i had a 94 it didnt take long at all to get them installed. the newer models its a pain b/c the engine has to be pulled.

seems to me when you installed the new radio you did an amp bypass. so that the new radio you bought was used to run the speakers. the rear subwoofer is powered by the stock amp in the car. i have my stock radio and i have a hole cut in the rear deck with a 12 in it hits really nice doesnt bounce up and down at all.

this has happened to me at a store before. kinda embarrassing but leaving the battery unhooked for about 10 minutes fixed it. i would check the terminals and go from there.

i should b getting mine this week i'll let you kno if they're worth it from what im told they're not but i guess i wont trully kno till its done.

well if your battery is full of life and your starters good the car shouldnt take any longer than 2-3 seconds at least thats the way it is with mine i have a 94, even when its been started for the first time. i recently replaced the battery because id have trouble starting because it would turn over soo slow due to the old battery. put a durlast in there and man id never heard that engine crank so fast. but if it is not the battery then i would look at the terminals and then the alternator.

well after i got pulled over the other day and the cop was like your car is a lil loud son. maybe you should quiet some to attract less attention but i still got outta the ticket cuz im good like that j/k but really i'll keep that in mind thanks.

now all you need is some headers to make it complete

i have 2 1/2 inch exhaust thats true duals to the flow master mufflers. its already really loud so im hoping its not gonna b too much louder. removing the cat definitely makes it alot louder though.

i'll let you know when i get them. hopefully i'll get some audio of the complete system.

well you must run a catback exhaust with the headers. and they said with the whole complete exhaust done they got about 40hp and 48 tq somethin around there which is pretty good if you ask me so i went ahead and bought them cuz i already have the exhaust done. http://www.headermania.com/mm5/merchant.mv...gory_Code=LEXUS that's the link its s&s headers i ordered mine over the phone they were really nice about it. they're very pricey though.

soo i ordered some headers from s&s headers for 650 plus shipping. i should get them in about 2 weeks and when i get them put on i will let everyone kno if they're worth it. this will complete my exhaust hopefully it wont b too loud. :]

i bought on off of ebay for 150 i think and ive had it for several months and it still works fine it was also used.

yea i used the shiftlock release i had to take the whole shifter apart to get to it and i found alotta womens makeup in there which was wierd cleaned all that out. but yea it wouldnt shift outta park until i did that so i guess im gonna replace that solenoid.

so the other day i took my girlfriend to take a driving test in my car and turns out the brake lights dont work.... how have i not got pulled over yet i do not know does any one have any idea what this could be? im thinking its the lil solenoid in the brake pedal that couldve went bad... TIA

more than likely that could b the problem. if its not making proper contact with the battery then it wont b able to pull enough power from it. make sure the terminals are really tight and if that doesnt work i would look into another battery or possibly a starter.

this is a very common problem for this car... i also have a 94 and the speedo will sit at the bottom and so will the tach but usually a good ol smack on the dash will get it working.

well today i was booming in my lex playin my patron song by yung joc and then i tried to roll up 2 of the windows and the *BLEEP*er just about cut off and all the lights almost went off. im thinkin the battery is dying, b/c its pretty old. im only runnin 1600 watts to one sub but im not runnin the full wattage to it. i kno i could get a capicitor but they're rather expensive.

Yea i have noticed that with this intake mod ive done. but that should all change when i have a true cold air intake. Ive put one on my friends jeep and it made a whole hell of a difference he beat me off the line after we put it in i was pretty surprised, and *BLEEP*ed but after we got to about 60 he got dusted. It also sounds pretty sweet with the new intake you can definitely hear it sucking in air it kinda sounds like a vacuum.

yea im really thinkin about gettin that cold air intake from ingen for temporarily, till i get those headers...

thanks alot. I was thinkin about turbocharging my car or puttin a supercharger on but i really dont wanna make too much power. Wat is a decent size turbo that would run maybe 6 or 7psi? Would the stock internals b able to handle that or would the engine have to b rebuilt with aftermarket parts?

well i was going to get a pair of headers. they're like 600 but if there's anything i could do in that range it would b cool, i already have an exhaust. just needed the headers to complete it. has anyone bought a performance torque converter?

i know the ls400 isnt a sports car but, im just lookin to give it more low end power if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

this happened to me once and it was a fuse in my fuse box inside the car that had gotten hot and fried something in the box. and it wasnt making contact with the box. so it cost me like 25 dollars from a mechanic i know and it was fixed.
