i have a 92 Ls400 and put a hid kit in and need to adjust my lights,the screws im turning are doing nothing........any ideas?

get the plugs from the dealer and get OEM.....if u r going to change wires as well as caps and rotors get them from the dealer as well, the wires come with the total plactic harness that runs from one bank to the other, the original ones lasted me 140,000 miles, dont get aftermarket anything on you tune up

Yes, after a reset of the diagnostic system the light went off and never came back on. Funny thing was, the resistance of the old sensors was where is was supposed to be, so they appeared to be ok. But they weren't. With the low cost of this fix I think it is worth trying even if it doesn't fix your problem. I imagine it will though. thanks guys, ill look into it, i have had to replace 2 of them so far and the check engine light acted the same way this time as the previous 2 times, came on and stayed on and then went off while driving

took me 3 times to get a good pump........i would make toyota fix it tho, they were the last to work on it and diagnosed it as a rack and pinion which im sure cost u an arm and a leg........you had them fix it? where did u get your rack?

MY 92 IS THROWING A CODE 25 AND WHEN I LOOKED IT UP IT SAID FUEL RATIO LEAN MIXTURE.........ANY IDEAS HERE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

MAKE SURE YOURS IS EXACTLY LIKE THE DIAGRAM. You owe me a beer i have done a full tune up on my 92......make sure u get dealer wires, they come with everything, there is a plastic wire holding mount that goes in each valve cover as well as up front and they are already set up and put in order, no messing around just snap them into place! you buy after market crap u r asking for trouble

i put h&r springs on mine and they lowered it 1 inch, i would like to put a 2 inch drop in the rear, but the h&r's have a great ride to them, i suggest using tokico blue shocks

i have answers to all these powersteering issues, first off if u r getting smoke at start up it is the valve on your pump, it has 2 vacuum lines going to it and one goes to the intake manifold next ......if u replace one component of the power steering you need to replace hoses and the rack, contaminated fluid will kill one and cause the others to fail, if u plan on keeping your car fix it and fix it right do not do this job half assed, other wise u will be replacing components later on 2 or 3 times until u have them all fixed anyways, i have fixed just about everything on my 92 so any questions any of u have u can email me, i work for NAPA auto parts and used to be a mechanic, i have extensive knowledge and would like to help on any situation i can

on the inside? if so ur heater core might be leaking, check your carpet on the passenger side

heres a pic of my 92 LS and heres somethings ive done to it timing belt,waterpump,starter,rims,tires,lowering springs(H&R), new interior,cross drilled rotors,front and rear bumpers,new hood.......145,000 miles and runs great, have had it up to 130 mph

THE CODE OR CODES WILL STORE IN THE COMPUTER, SO YES THE ENGINE WILL BE OFF WHEN CHECKING THE CODE

TOYOTA RED...IF YOUR LIGHT DOESNT GO OFF THEN YOUR SENSOR IS BAD,ITS LOCATED ON TOP OF THE COOLANT RESERVOIR

listen up please.......the knock sensors are located under the intake, make sure u replace the wiring that leads up to the knock sensors as this is a known issue with these cars, knock sensors are about 125 dollars each

take it to a reputible tranny shop, do not take it to a regular repair shop,get a second or third oppinion if need be by several tranny shops

for those of u who may want to do this later.....you can buy the exact same spark plug tube o-rings from toyota......call lexus get the part number, then call toyota and give them that number.......i did it and it cost me less than half the price, this works with a lot of parts for this car, some of the parts toyota may not carry but some of them they dont......just a bit of advice, also i have a 92 Ls 400 and have done everything to my car, from starter,water pump,timing belt,injectors and also the power steering(rack and hoses as well), also replaced knock sensors and 02 sensors........just ask and i will let u know what to do......
