  1. LOL - five years later - have you had to "WARN" any of us?? :o Yes, more than a few.
  2. Wow, completely different animals. Ride, speed, size, everything. I think you'll have to make up your own mind on this one.
  3. I guess everyone thinks maybe you should just read the thread you posted this question in and get the answer yourself.
  4. I think I have a magnet stuck on the bottom of my gas pedal. Whenever I put my foot on it, it falls right to the floor and stays there.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Start with a credit card or a plastic putty knife and remove the driver side trim piece first. It comes up and out at an angle with simple clips: Take the shifter knob off: Flip the cup holder door open, and pull back and up at the same time and it should come right out. Remove the ashtray and assembly: If you look in the top of the air vents you will see four 1/4" holes in the two vents. If you gently insert a flat head scewdriver at about a 45 degree angle up into the holes and gently pry down you will see that a plastic clip will come down with the driver and clip into a down position....do this to all four...then with a "plastic" pry tool, pry the vents out ...the dash is very forgiving....it will not dent...(at least mine didn't) and pull the vents out again they are held in with astandard clips....This was the hard part. It took me about 20-30 minutes of working it out to get this removed. This part is the hurdle to get over. The rest is easy and it's easy to put back in as well. There are 4 10mm bolts holding in the complete NAV assembly. Once they're removed your set.
  7. They probably won't touch the "aftermarket" work.
  8. Yer welcome. For some reason that does seem to switch itself. I don't know why. I've had other members experience the same issue. I'll bring that up to management.
  9. Nice. Your garage shot does look strange now. But I will say from your pictures I have determined what it is about the BMW 5 that I don't like. It's the tail lights. They just look dumb. THe rest of the car is ok, it's those tail lights. The headlights are somewhat quircky looking , but the LED and halo's make em cool anyway. the tailghts just get no help. Still, it's a nice car.
  10. What's with the Lexus' parked outside in the driveway and those "other" cars in the garage? LOL!! Nice shots.
  11. I have a friend that has stock 350 rims on his IS300. I put them on it myself, and there haven't been any rubbing issues. But some people just want all the rim sizes to match and don't like the draw backs of a staggered set up. If that's the case, then maybe just trade them for another set of 18x8's so you can rotate the tires and all that. THe IS250 AWD comes with the same size rims all around. And I'm pretty sure they all have the same 50mm offset.
  12. We are talking about the format of how the topic, and related posts are displayed. It used to be you click on the topic, and then you can see all of the related posts in a paged fashion. Now I only see the "Posts in this topic" a summary type view... Try going to the top of the forum underneath the header and banner on the right side. Do you see an "options" button? click on that and see if maybe your in outline mode. Make sure your using the standard format.
  13. Moved to correct forum
  14. I'm confused and have no idea what your talkinga bout right now.
  15. Wow, a Beamer huh? Didn't see that coming. It'll be fine. I don't like the current 5 series much either. But if you want a BMW with more room than the 3, and still be a 4 door, then it's the only other choice. Personally I would have leased an LS over the 5 any day. I know the GS is more of a direct market compare, but the deals they're giving out right now might almost put you in the same price area.
  16. Are you sure they aren't talking about the ballast? If they are, you can get em used from Ebay for under a hundred bucks and change it out yourself. And if it is the ballast then you don't need an new bulb also. Right?
  17. Sorry it took awhile to get back, but I added the link to the list. Thank you for contributing.
  18. I think your asking for trouble. 2mm doesn't look like alot, but when after you go thru all the hoops you need to get them to fit and then this "strange vibration" that starts, and then what? Direct fit or forget it when it comes to the ride. What are the offsets and sizes?
  19. Actually you can buy used ballast for your specific model for alot less. I get them from a place on Ebay, and I've only had one ballast come in that didn't work. I sent it back, and about a week later one that worked showed up with an apology. You should be able to get them for about 75-100 bucks.
  20. It's in the fuel pump itself which is located in the fuel tank. Your going to have to pop the back seat out, Just lift up really hard on the lower seat section, it pops out in the upwards direction. On the driver side you'll see an access panel. The fuel pump is directly underneath that.
  21. Those are pretty much the only ways I know of. I always ran one on the return line from the turbo so I could monitor the turbo temp also. But with no turbo I would think it won't matter as much. You can always buy a new or used oil pan, drill that and use it so you can have the stock one to put back on if you decide to sell the car later.
  22. I would check the fuel pressure then. There's a check valve in the fuel pump that stops the pressure bleed down. or it could be the fuel pump itself. Although I'm having a problem attaching the warm air vs. cold air starting to that.
  23. Have you done a scan on the car? If not I would scan it and see if you get any events and codes. It sounds like it could be an MAF/IAT sensor, but thats just the beginning of the line.
