yeah, and its not really a "sensor". it just when brake pads are worn to the limit, they stopconducting electricty and enable the cirquit that lights that brake pad light. if you hhave a ligght on even after you changed the pads it means that the wire is broken or the wires were not connected.

there are 2 known causes for this, there eithere a loose wire inside the head unit or in the connectors somewhere, or there is a shortage and there is a cirquit insde that will turn the unit of in case of overload. the 3rd case is the voltage in the car is below minimum on idle and it is not enuff for the radio.

billyc, you dont have to go to the dealer, there is a procedure to take the error code by urself, im sure one of our experienced 91 ls owners will tell u how to do that. Bob, you can just step by by the autozone and they will readthe codes for you free of charge. write them down andpost them here and i will give u complete info and troubleshooting howto from the factory repair manual

ouch, thats bad, this is why i try to do everything i can myself. those mechanics these days dont know anythying bout new cars and they dont care much. i will make sure all my friends will see that thread:) i have some things against mechanics and this thread just proved me right. that was the reason i started to DIY stuff:)

there is a charcoal canister to take care of vapors, may be its not functioning correctly? i'm not an expert in fuel system yet but it was the case with my frriends 94 LS:) (mine is working good and not giving me any probs so i stay away from it:) )

follow the advice and get those codes out at autozone, then post em there and we will tell what exactly is wrong and if you have been ripped off. while ure at autozone you can ask them to remove front wheel s for you so you and them can check if there is a wire going to the brake pad. when you hear metalllic grind it means that your pad is worn to the metal and you should check if they really replaced pads for you. the brake pad light staying on also suggests that your pads were either not replaced or they were installed incorrectly.

yeah that happend already couple of times with our memebers and it seems that 2001 and above models are affected the most.

not sure bout your engine problem but you can get pump for windshield wipers at a junkyard at www.taprecycling.com call them up and ask if they do international shipping. for the engine i can tell you one thing, when the trac light is on it means there is an error code and you need to extract it and post it here.

most of the ppl here who did the replacement used the autozone part. its cheap and it has warranty. the only thing is that they changed it themselves with saved them on labor and in case pump will malfuncion again they dont have to pay labor again.

nokia is fancy and unreliable while motorola is a workhorse, it might not have that many features but it will last longer. all those new companies like samsung, lg, etc make fancy phones but they buggy sometimes and quality is not that great as well. i myself have LG:) its an ok phone but i miss my v60 motorola is the best IMHO

nope, it was in russia and ukraine. sailors used to import those used japanese cars for cheap until the government raised taxes so now you have to pay 110% of the value of the car when u bring it there.

craig i'm a big fan of crysler myself, dont get me wrong, b4 i got LS io had a chrysler concorde and actually when i went to the auction to get a new car i was about to buy a 300m but there were non and that is why i ended up with the lex. what i mean cheap interior i mean bad parts and materials. in 3 years whole interior is gonna start falling apart, stereo is gonna stop working and whole interior is gonna b pretty noisy, but the design is awesome its much better then LS on the outside, but interior is still has to be worked on.

i work as a vallet manager once in a while on weekends, its a hobby of mine and drove one of those. it is pretty nice and powerful car. the loaded 5.7 hemi edition is very very nice but its still far from lexus. interior looks pretty cheap comparing to any lexus and suspension is not that great. but i gotta give it to the car it handles and accelerates pretty good.

crown is above the LS by all means. i had a ride in the like 89 crown and it had lcd with navigatgion and all the bells and whistles

nope, i think there is a shortage that occurs when u hit a bump or turn. to make sure shortage is not in the seat belt fastener. unfasten your seatbelt when the car is in drive and check for those chimes.

nah, in my case it was one of the timing belt pulleys and it was whining because of the bad bearing. but to get to it i had to remove all the parts in front of the engine and aux belt was one of them.

this is what i used to do too, but now they dont really give tickets for this anymore. i'm scared bout my tint only when i'm jersey where they do not allow any tint at all.

if i had limo tint (its 5%) here in tristate area i would be pulled over by every cop. its like a red fabric for the bull. my friend here got 5 tickets for all 5 windows and each was 50$:(

i dont think you can add anything to the factory remote lock. you can add smth else without deactivating your factory lock, in my case i have both alarm and factory lock active, i just dont use lock anymore.
