  1. wich bad conenction on Ls the car just dies, i mean it dies conmpletely, nothing will work, you have to shake the terminal on the battery to bring it back alive. this is how it was on my case.

  4. hey npcomplete, i c you like algorythms and analysys:) i used to dig that too. anyway, your linstument panel lights dim when you hear clicking? if yes it means dying battery. if your battery is dying after 1 month it means that alternator is not giving enuff charge because it is dying too due to the leaking steering pump. just look at the power steering level and any traces of the grease or ATF on the alternator and engine block behind the pump pump is 100$ reman at autozone and its pretty ez to change it urself. otherwise you migh end up paying another 50$ for the labor. aletrnator should not run you more then 250$ parts and labor. also reman
  5. gen I LS uses thermal clutch to control the fan rpm, its not electrical and you cant really control it. the hotter the engine the closer rpm number of the clutch fun would be to the engines rpm. i think this is an issue in your car. its not really hard to change yourself. just remove the radiator and aux belt and you will be able to unscrew it. you might actually be able to do it wihtout removing a radiator. also do a coolant flush, that would never hurt:)
  6. obergc stop after hight speed that was a problem with Gen II ECU and it is under recall. me engine stalled once when there was 100% humidity and it was raining for a couple of days and i was not driving it, rpms were really low aroudn 400 and it died once. i reved the engine couple of times and everthing went back to normal. i dont know if this your car. 98 and up have new engine that differs drastically from all previous models
  7. yes, you will have to change the amp as well. and you miight need to replace wiring as well.

    the whole point is to decrease pollution. we shoudl be environment friendly. IMHO it has to be fixed
  9. its like and OD button but it doesnt trn the 4th gear off. what it does its it makes your tranny switch at higher rpms, thus making the car more repoonsive but burning more fuel.

  13. there are 3 volumes of factory repair manual and they the ones that you need. dont even waste $ on the CD. its !!! alldatadiy.com is a good option, they have explosion diagrams and search engine is pretty good
  14. might be either engine mounts or not enuff power due to weak spark or poor fuel mix.

  16. my old concorde has 170k miles now and still going strong, Ac is gone and there is a second tranny in there but otherwise its fine, what i mean is they are falling apart inside. they might be reliable cars but in 3 years when they will hit mileage above 50k leather will go bad, all plastic parts will fell off or will make terrible noise while driving, it might start having electrical problems etc. its good while its new but its a chrysler and of course you cant compare to lexus in terms of comfort and reliability. i have 135k on LS and all the parts are original!!!
  17. hey, if its not your wife fault why do you care then? you dont have to pay, insruance will take care of this completely and i'm sure it will be much more then 8k my gf got rearended in the civic and there was also font and rear damage and it was 6k!
  18. yeah for 92 is different, autozone proves free scanning only for OBDII cars which are 95 and up
  19. its a lil tricky with those modern electronics, you should consider temperature, humidity and other stuff when looking for the problem. it might even be a problem in one of the microchips on one of the cirquit boards.

  21. i'm not sure myself, i remember there was an article on how to change those lights and they were leds, but it might be little lighs as well. if some1 out there still has the article that was lost in the crash pls respond!:)

  23. once the battery is drained completely you have to replace it, there is no going back, it will not hold the charge. replace it with a new one and if after that the new one will die then you might have a shortage somewhere.
  24. nope:) you prolly going to be the first one. where did you get that price? at your local dealer?
  25. just change them, rotors are 8$ each and cups are 11 or 12$ each. these parts tend to have carbon buildup on the metal connectors thus making cunductivity smaller and your spark is getting weaker. it is worth changing them when you going to do the tuneup.
