  1. go to www.irontoad.com and ask for a quote on this if it is not listed for your car. They are a Lexus dealer in NJ and I think they give the part number when they reply or the part is listed. call(or go) your lexus dealer and see if you can get a part # ; request a price, then ask for the part number.!!!???????
  2. you don't need the number--just tell them what you want and what it is for. At least, that is the way it is here. Most of us do not have any part numbers--even with service manuals.
  3. Should be 5-7 clicks down. Adjust [like most all park brakes] with the adjustment above the driveshaft.
  4. all flanges--falls apart. But get all new aluminum[compression] gaskets to reassemble or you will have leaks !!!!!!
  5. reading one of these reminded me of something: my LS doesn't have an underhood light which I think unusual. Just wonder if it is standard--and if it is, I sure will wonder where it went!!!!!
  6. Tks--it really wasn't square--it was rectangular. but sounds like I should keep it in a secure place!!
  7. Up to you--do it or don't ; I think it helps--so do the folks who do it after so many miles--- do you believe them???? Can you afford about $5.00 ?????????? whatever......... Do you think it will hurt your performance?? If so, then DON'T do it.
  8. Can't help but think: if engineering, metallurgy, and all the high education stuff(that I graduated from in 1964--I guess obsolete now!!--) is subjective to the fluid properties of stuff (antifreeze, transmission fluid, engine oil, etc.) then all this learning was for naught. Guess we should have kept babbitt bearings!!????? Who would think that all that would dictate what people thought (or think) now!!???? Should have gone into the lub(or liquid) business when I graduated, but didn't.
  9. I didn't buy--was on car when I got it about 4 yrs. ago--was part of a gold package obtained from the Dealer. But I took off and reinstalled when the trunk lid was repainted. My trunk lid and the recycled one installed did not have holes. Am I hearing that the dealers have no NOS available? The holes were never in the trunk for this emblem(on mine anyway); seems like I have seen some with the LS400 emblem only--and NOT the Lexus emblem !!!! Ask the online dealers if they have it.
  10. My LS400 emblem was 2 emblems: LS and 400. It came without studs
  11. Think there are 2 screws on the parking lite; one visible then a second hidden [when you hinge-out the outer (short) section] it comes in view. No problem removing or installing--they come with the amber bulbs. Note the $25 includes ft. as I remember--can't imagine how they can do them that cheap. Better photo on pg 27 of LS gallery
  12. Mate--may look cheap to some folks--and to be honest it was: $25. and $25 for the clear ft. pk lites. I love both of them. Changes the whole front appearance of car. Hard to believe all that was only that much. Some think it is a new one--but the new diamond white paint and gold bottom have something to do with that I suppose. A larger photo is on pg 35(last) of LS gallery. Have a new ft logo ordered--the dull one doesn't go with the rest of the car; already had to get new ones for the rear.
  13. I have had good success with: www.irontoad.com This is a LEXUS dealer in NJ. Gives good prices--does not list every part but if you e-mail them[on their site] they will give you a price in a few hours. Not sure if they send off shore tho--now that I think about it, don't think they do--but find out for yourself.
  14. My 'mechanics' key came with a small square piece of aluminum attached with a 5 digit number stamped in it. Is that the key serial number?? Would assume so, but don't know for sure.
  15. Most SS brake hoses I have seen have teflon inside--no 'rubber' at all. At least most ALL the ads say that; haven't cut one to check that out; They are only about 1/2 (slightly more) the size of originals so don't believe there is room for much 'rubber' to be inside.
  16. I can't find where it is you posted it ????? where is that section of this site?? sorry-
  17. Denny-look at the latest entry in Sal's Lexus' site-------maybe you will change your wish !!!!!!!!! :P
  18. can't wait to see pixs---pour some gasoline and oil on the floor so you can smell all this stuff. WILD.
  19. On a Lexus Only: Pearl Dust White or Diamond White--3 stage; but not this on everything---not on a 1934 Plymouth or 1965 Austin Healey Mk III ,etc And NOT with a dull silver bottom !!!!! Bias I suppose.
  20. don't think you should do this. May regret something. Should be able to sand with 600, mask things off, and spray with black semigloss(the most expensive you can find) without any problem.
  21. the 'dents' will NOT go away---looks like someone put 3 alternators on the seat in a junk yard---for a year !!!! but it sure does look better than the latter ones in this thead !!!!
  22. sorry--jcw is JC Whitney-- see photo 232 on page 26 of gallery this is 100 watt xenon bulb. got at JCW. don't remember if it is 9004 or not--was just referring to the post above.
  23. HID is 'NOT' a bulb--it is a system ; the best you can do is a 100(or 130) watt hi-beam--80 low, from JCW is the cheaper. Is much better than stock but not better than 4-100watt Cibe Z-beams on a BMW('85 635CSI euro)--sure do miss all the light !!!! but, again, it is the best you can do[or I can do] unless you install driving lights--and there ain't no room for that !!! Just install them(9004's) and DON'T overdrive them. You don't want HID anyway(even on 2004 models)---almost EVERYONE you meet will flip their high beams at you!!!-----that ain't good is it.
  24. occasionally,an exact pressure valve cap(request an exact pressure) is available at the bottom of this page--------scroll all the way down. Listed as 'Monitor pressure valve cap'
  25. These are the exact ones sold at Adv and Autoz. and same price. Pressure levels are from 32-36#. I have 4 sets of them----one glance will tell you if a tire is low. Sometimes with radials it is hard to tell. :P http://shop.store.yahoo.com/rodi/vicv700series.html
