  1. Yea wish I was there now!!! Yea...SW you will have the time of your life...the only problem is when you get back to work... :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot:
  2. B) Well I have to say that I had one of the best trips of my life!!! The food, drinks, shopping :chairshot: , beaches...and everything was a A+ One thing that I found much different than in the US...was that the waiter or waitress would never bring you a bill until you asked for it...you could sit there and just look at the beach for hours and no one would ever rush you to leave...kind of cool! Driving there is fun...the only ticket that you can get is for failing to stop...you can drive as fast as you want...but trust me you did not want to go to fast...you could lose your car in some of the potholes. The 1st day while I was waiting to get the car that was arranged for me to use...I went ahead and rented a car...was going up a hill 2nd gear went up...on the way down 4th went out...that was loads of fun. :chairshot: My boss acutally bought a Condo there and has purchased a car there too...so I think that my wife and I will be going back!!! Here is the car!!! One of the best beaches we found!!! This road had 2 way traffic!!! :o
  3. I have Central Vac in my house...but wait I don't do any of the cleaning that is women's work...what is wrong with you NC...and the rest of you guys! J/K :whistles: :D
  4. Will talk to you guys and gals when I get back!!! B) B)
  5. How are you disregarding what the manufacturer recommends by using 87? I have run super, plus, and reg never noticed a difference in MPG or anything else...it has nothing to do with the $125.00 :whistles: why put super in it if you do not need to? And if you do not see any benefit from it...is 87 going to mess up my RX? If so why do they tell you that you can use it? I totally agree about the c230...but it says that you have to use premium...91 or higher not 87 or higher.... I have AWD and I average 21 - 24 using reg! I agree with you...
  6. Black looks good when it's CLEAN Lookin good! :D
  7. We usually do not get to much snow here...but driving in what we have had it has been fantastic...stops great turns great...and I have tried in parking lots to loose control just to see what it would do in the snow and ice...The AWD system and VSC is great! I do not think that you will have any trouble with it...but no matter what you have ICE can be a problem...if you are driving to fast!
  8. I think that it is your imagination! I use 87 all of the time and I have tried 91 and 93 before...I have never noticed any difference and can not see how it would make any difference in how the car shifts gears??? But if it works for you keep putting it in! :D
  9. Me...personally...I would by the IS. My wife just decided between the IS...325i...and yes the C230 After a few test drives she picked the C230. Here is the link when I asked the same question http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...934&hl=C230 Good luck... I am going to tell my wife you are making fun of her car! LOL :D
  10. Just wondering...why wouldn't cars/suvs with rear wipers have a rain sensing ability? I know that with my RX it is a pain there is no right speed for the rear wiper...if it is raining the wiper when left on it is always going to fast when you are driving on the highway. I have had other cars that have the rear wiper and I have the same problem. The Rain sensing would be a great feature on the rear... Just wondering what you guys/gals think! :D :D
  11. That and...go to battle at Wal-Mart with the idiots that can not park or put back the shopping carts! :D :D
  12. I am assuming that you are dealing with your own insurance company... I am not sure how TN works but in most states you have to carry coverage for people that drive without insurance. So dealing with your own company should not be that bad. Your Agent should be able to advise you what to do. If you have rental coverage the rental should be reimbursed. As far as the frame...well...do you have any replacement provision on your policy or new car replacement? It will take quite a lot of damage to total out a 2006 but try to get them to...the key thing to ask for is diminished value! You are the original owner of the car and it is less than 2 years old right? Tell them that this will effect the value of your car...and you expect to be compensated for that. Good luck...have your agent make a call to your company...after all that is what you pay him/her for...
  13. I do not notice any noise in mine. But if you would like to hear rattles I will let you drive my Jeep! :D
  14. Glad yours works!! The one I got for Christmas must have been broke! :whistles: The thing sucks...I through mine away...used it on my car and was like this thing is a piece of I would rather buy gallons of distilled water and pour on my car. It takes forever for the filtered water to even come out...
  15. Well if the manual says to use 87 or higher...then I would use 87...That is the same thing that the RX says and it is just fine to use regular (87) in it. I don't think you will notice much between 87 and 91 in a GX or even a RX...and I am sure if it would harm the engine they would not tell you that you could use it. By the way not sure if you tried to search but there are quite a few gas topics at least for the RX anyway... :D good luck! Post a PIC of your GX...my boss has a 06...nice!
  16. :D TROJAN MAN!! :D Funny :D
  17. What does your manual say? My RX it is fine to use 87.
  18. Another thing to consider about many new homes is with all of the new construction that that we have had…at least around me...many builders are cutting corners every way they can. I must have had 50 calls this month because of "Ernesto" most from people whose homes less than 2 years old. Shingles blowing off, siding blowing off...leaks, etc...just plain poor workmanship...and the sad part about it is that the builders are not honoring the warranty on the homes, since it is weather related. The funny thing is most of the homes in this area that are over 2 years old made out fine. When my wife and I started looking to buy a new home we looked at 2 homes that had just been built and I made up my mind unless we were going to build a home I wanted a home that was at least 5 or 10 years old. I have seen so many new homes that have cracks in the dry wall...and also hairline cracks in the foundation. ;)
  19. GOOD POINT...SK! All I use is 87 in mine and it runs fine. Look at the attachment that is what is required...what are they telling you to use...It says that you can use 91 for improved performance... RX330_GAS.pdf
  20. Hamma gonna hurt 'em! Hahaha... Glad to see Jaws on Paws is still kickin'! We're going to do some deck work in the spring, which means I have finally found a use for the phnumatic air hammer!! Pretty sad really when you need a mortgage just to find an excuse to use one of your phnumatic tools. Hahahaa.... dens... yeah man, $35 a month for dues. But it does not include the front lawns, unfortunately. It takes care of all the common areas, curb appeals, pool, club house and park areas. It's a pretty big pool, that's for sure. But, we'll see what happens after I get on "infiltrate" the finance committee and see the budget. One thing I am already going to propose is for edging of grass along sidewalks. Some folks need to clean up a bit in that department. You know what they say; the nicer your neighbor's house looks, the more valuable your house becomes. Well as far as HOA's are concerned I have to admit, I thought I would never want to live in one. My parents house sat on 2 acres wooded that was connected to my grandfathers farm that was over 70 acres and he was surrounded by his brothers land (all farm land and trees) over 100 acres on each side. So you could go for days and not even see anyone. Skeet shoot in the field next door, sight in guns...pretty much do what ever you want...and not have to worry about it. My best friend growing up lived about 8 miles away. We used to ride dirt bikes, and 4 wheelers back and forth to each others house... I bought my 1st house and that was about 4 miles form my parents...I sold that about a year ago...and moved into the HOA lifestyle!!! I love it...now all of the houses are spaced out on just a little under 1 acre and I get along great with all of my neighbors. I would have never even looked or giving it a chance if not for my wife. :chairshot: :chairshot: I HATE WHEN SHE is RIGHT! NC congrats bud! Hope the move and everything goes smooth! The only thing I can tell you is when you look at the house you think..."I don't have enough stuff for this house" and a year later you will be like "what the Hell" your wife will take all of your stuff and put in the attic..."there's not enought room for it" Not sure if you have or want kids or not...but that is probably going to be next!!! At least I am getting the talk... :whistles:
