Why not call around you can buy from another dealer. I would start at 1k under invoice and see how close you can get to that. I am with SW wait until the end of the month maybe last couple of days make the low ball offer and see what happens. I made my deal in about 3 days and bought on the last day of the month. Thanks .do you know where the sensor is located on the windshield ? Is it in front of the rear view? Yes I think it is in front of the rear view mirror.

The toggle he is referring to is the windshield wiper stalk...or arm. The main on/off for windshield wiper. I think all the way up is off, down 1 auto, down 1 low...so on.

Ha...DC. Her driving privileges for the GX...have been suspended! I don't even think she has any interest in driving the GX. She got in and drove around the neighborhood and she said it seems way to big...

My wife has been driving the X5 for all of a week and I washed and waxed it this weekend...I saw a scratch on the right front rim. Not bad but you can tell she hit a curb. I said "how did you do that" She said "I was trying to park as close to the curb so no one would hit the doors because I knew I would never hear the end of it if someone put a ding in the door" I love it...it is my fault that she hit the curb... What ever took some scratch X to the wheel and most of the scuff came off of the wheel but there is a little curb rash there...when I was cleaning it up she came out side and she asked me "did it come off" I said "most of it did but there is still a little scuff mark on the rim" She said..."well how do you know that wasn't there already"...I took a deep breath and said" WOMAN...I have been driving this car for a couple of years and I know the only ding in it is the one you put in the door while the car was parked in the garage...I know the mark was not there before it is exactly where you hit the tire and the orange/yellow paint was on the tire...that is how I know it wasn't there" the sad thing about all of this is she did the exact same thing to the Benz when she had that...but worse...she tore that rim up bad. Well it could be worse and I still love her! Just had to vent...

The paint on my 2010 GX is just fine. I spent the whole day cleaning it and the x5. Wonder if the one you saw had some of the stuff that they spray on the cars when they ship them?

Sorry to doubt you. I would send a letter to Lexus, the GM, and the Sales Manager to start with. From what I am reading the dealership is no longer confirming the problem. The last time you took it in it seems that they are saying everything is normal. I would have some one at the dealership confirm that the car should not be making the noise. I don't know what else they could replace...has the car been involved in any type of front end accident? Have your tried to talk to the G. M. of the dealership? I had a problem with a car I had bought and the S. M. *BLEEP*ed me off to the point that I could have went over the desk at him. I walked outside cooled off...walked in to the G.M./owner of the dealership and let him know exactly what the S. M. said...he handed me the keys to his demo car...and said I am sorry I will call you when your car is ready until then drive mine. So I left in his car and when I went back to pick my car up I found out that they fired the S. M. over the whole thing... my point to the above post is that maybe you are talking to the wrong person...or maybe the right person has not found out about this...

Why not ask the S. M. to call Lexus with you in the office to see what can be done. Sure if he feels that it is not normal then he can help. Unless he is providing lip service. I just can not understand how a car that they have been working on for this long to try to fix a problem that everyone can hear...feel is now normal? You are saying the Lexus Corp is stating that it is normal...but the S. M. disagrees ask him what your next step is or ask to speak to the G. M. of the dealership...and see if they can help. Simply providing you a phone number and dropping the ball in your court is not acceptable if they have worked on the car this long and still have not fixed the problem...

Something sounds weird about this first off the dealership knew there was a problem. They and Lexus Corp. Have been trying to determin a problem for a couple of months and now you are saying that they are telling you the noise that they have been trying to fix all of this time is normal? I just find it strange if it is true it sucks. What has the service manager said about all of this?

My favorite Lexus??? MINE! :D I love the LS...I love the new LS...one day when the kids are older maybe. At least out of the juice and goldfish stage...but by then I will have to drive their friends around and I will need a bigger SUV then the GX... :whistles:

Got it for just about 7k off of sticker when it was all said and done. Not sure why the sticker is so high on the one you are looking at...I looked at quite a few 460s and the highest stickers I was seeing was 65k, mine sticker was 62k and it has the platinum pkg and a load of others ML, park assist...etc. The one you are looking at must have dynamic cruise and rear entertainment?

I don't think you are missing anything if you leave the light on it will kill the battery.

You need to go to another dealer. Any car that can't hold a charge for a week? By the way no way I would accept them putting a plug for a battery tender on my Lexus. I have one on my Harley but come on. How long have you had your Lx? By the way if you want to trade in your lx I am sure you could get a loaded exlplorer.

NC- That is not the only trick that theese banks are doing. If you get a letter to verify your insurance...make sure it is taken care of. Many of these banks have started buying insurance brokerages...so they give you 30 days to respond to their request or they force coverage on you... It is getting out of hand with Banks like PNC, BAC, Wells Fargo, and Willmington Trust. I can gurantee you that we get 5 or more of these types of request a day on auto and even more on home and flood...the dumbest thing is on most of the home and flood are escrowed meaning the dumb a s s mtg company or bank is paying it anyway...just a differnt dept. Maybe it was a honest mistake but I doubt it...I have been told by a few former bankers that banks are all going into the "fee" business. I am not going to go into much detail on this here but I will also tell you that PNC...had all of our business accounts here and we moved everyone of them because of the fees that they started charging us for holds that they put on checks...even checks of their own customers. Closed the account...2 months later I had two ladies come in from PNC asking why I closed the accounts. I showed her how much we had gotten charged in fees over 6 months. She just looked at me and said that she was sorry...I told her that we had a line of credit with PNC...you could have simply taken the money from that or called and told us what was going on but no...not until you lost the accounts did you care about us at all. The new bank that I am dealing with Hebron savings Bank...they call me when a mutual customer has written a bad check so we can take it out of the deposit so we are not charged fees...Great customer service!

ROAD TRIP! Funny... :D This weekend my wife said do you want to take your new car to go to the store and we can stop by and show my mom and sister...I thought about it for a mila-second and was like no...let's take your new car :P I love my kids and would do anything in the world for them...but if you coud have seen the inside of the RX330 when we cleaned it out. Gold fish, french fries, tater tots...toys...drinks...cups...but to be fair we had just got back from taking the kids to Sesame Street Place in PA so it was worse than it usually is. My wife and I rarley use my car for anything so the X5 is the new baby mobile...
