  1. I own a 2010 Lexus 450h and I get around the same gas mileage as you 27/28 mpg. I live in AZ so I always have the air condition on! I do mostly city driving and use the economy feature all the time. I can coast on most streets using just the electric part of the motor. I did have to get use to driving using the econo mode. No quick pulling into traffic for me! and your right, it does make you a better driver. I love my car and when my lease is up I will most certainly get another Lexus Hybrid. B)
  2. I just went in for my 5,000 mile check up. I have been getting the same as above, 3/city/ 28-30 highway. I love my SUV !
  3. I didn't !!!! I made Lexus take the car back and got a LX450H instead!!!
  4. I truly understand your predicament. I went through TWO batteries in less than a month! The dealership transported the car back to the dealership to do a diagnostic test. Everything checked out Ok. When I call the Lexus customer service number I was told that it was MY FAULT for NOT driving the car the enough!!!. They offered me a free set of jumper cables. Thank goodness that I had a reputable dealership that went the extra mile and installed a trickle charger and battery cutoff device on my car so that I could keep my battery charged and ready to go. I had to Plug my car into the socket that was hanging out of the hood of my 90,000.00 vehicle. I was fortunate enough to be on a live blog session on the Wall Street Journal with the head of the Lexus division, Mark Templeton. I posted on the blog about my 90G plug in vehicle and expressed my disappointment. I guess he listened. I got a call from the dealership and they took my LX570 back and paid off the lease in full. I then got a Lexus RX450H at cost. It has never let me down and I am very happy with it. I suggest you get in touch with Lexus directly and insist on them taking back the RX570. They will scare you with going to Lemon Law Court and the cost intailed in fighting them in court. Don't give up! Write to Lexus headquaters. Get Mr. Templeton involved. (customer service would not give me his email address). Start complaining LOUDLY!!! I did and it worked! Good luck to you. Lee Fuller Scottsdale AZ
  5. Well, All's well that ends well. I called up the dealership last week and told them considering the bad publicity Toyota and Lexus were having it would not be in their best interest to have me driving around with an electrical cord hanging out of my grill. They agreed and took back the car!!! I am now driving a brand new RX450H and I love it!!! I am so blessed to have a dealership that is honest and truly cares about the vehicles they sell. Thanks Bell Lexus, AZ. Anyone looking for a great dealership should try this one. I recommend it !!
  6. Just bought a RX450H Where is the forum for this vehicle??

  7. I have had my LX since last April 2009. It is leased with only 6,700 miles on it. I am going to try and get an explorer... The owner of the dealership has a Ford dealership also. I have low expectations wether they will do this or not... Wish me luck! :D
  8. My car was at the dealership for a full week while they tested the battery and electronics. Everything check out according to specs... They trot that word out a lot in explaing all the quirks with the new LX570. I almost went to lemon law court over this vehicle. Corporate didn't want to hear that. They insisted that everything was within design specs and that I would lose in court. I ended up having a pow-wow with the Service Manager who installed two after factory parts to my car. One being the plug in battery tender. The other part is mounted inside the vehicles engine compartment. Its purpose is to kill all electronics drawing from the battery if the car is parked undriven for a period of days. For example I asked the Service Manager this question. "If I go on vacation and park my car in the Airport parking garage when I returned, would the battery be dead?" He answered yes. So now I drive this big massive state of the art SUV with a plug hanging out of the front of the grill. Its very demoralizing. I would NEVER recommend this vehicle to someone else. I cant wait to get rid of it! Too many gizmo's we all dont need and the electronics are not all they are cracked up to be. But if you ask Lexus about it they will tell you that the Car is built to design specs wether they work or not. Give me a Ford Explorer any day over this vehicle!

  10. Hi, I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with the new LX570. My gas light goes on when I have a quarter of a tank. Anyone else having this problem? I also have to plug in my car to a battery tender at night because Lexus says I am not driving it enough to charge all the fancy electronics on it. I went through two dead batteries before they added a trickle charger to the car. It looks funny becuase the plug hangs from the front of the grill. People ask me what that is all about and I tell them that thats the new Electric LX570... They beleive it!! Just tell me if your happy with your LX570 or unhappy thanks Lee
  11. I tried what you asked and had NO NOISE coming from the back break.. sorry
  12. I tried the pumping of the brakes with the air off and the radio but there was NO NOISE coming from the back right side... Lee
  13. I just read your post today and will try the brake test later on and get back to you.
  14. Hi, I just bought a brand new 2009 L570. The battery went dead the first week I got the car. It was replaced and then the second battery went dead. The dealer had it flat bedded into the dealership and did testing. They say I am not driving it enough. I use the car at least five times a week but Lexus is telling me that I am not driving it far enough for the alternator to charge the battery. Also, If I let the car sit for three days, the battery goes dead. The dealer has put on a plug in trickle charger for me to plug in my car every night but this sounds odd for a car that costs so much money to be 'plugged in' Is anyone else having this problem? I checked the RX350 forum site and they are having problems with the batteries going dead also.
