  1. OK NC. I "feel ya" punk kid! :D Yes I have the Iphone. Yes it is worth it, and Yes if you get it you will love it! I use it for all kinds of stuff. The phone is great, camera is good, access to the web is good and the aps are great! I don't know if I could ever go back to just having a phone now. I still am using the older Iphone because unless I am on a wifi connection I don't do to much web surfing on it so I don't know how much better the 3G is but I am told it is faster than my "old" Iphone.
  2. It's funny I was going to change all of the fluids on my Deuce and got them. Stripped 2 screws trying to get them out of the derby cover and I was like screw this. Called OC Harley and was like $100.00 I will be there. With my little guy running around and the wife gettng ready to have baby #2 I have other things that I would rather do then work on my cars or bike.
  3. Me too! Lol
  4. If it is just a small scratch and not down to the metal the best thing would be to try to have it buffed out. You may want to use a product like scatch x and see if you can remove it, it might even take off the touch up paint. You may get some more help if you posted a pic by the way. Good luck.
  5. Yours may not be coming from the sun roof but mine was. This just about drove me nuts. I talked to the service mgr and told him that the next time it was in I wanted it fixed no matter what they had to do to it. He drove it around the lot heard what I was talking about and I got a phone call "keep the loaner car for a few days" They took out the sunroof shade and put in new tracks said the previous ones appeared to be bent. Since then it seems to be fine. Every once in awhile I get a little rattle but nothing like it was. May want to have the lube the sunroof anyway just to try and see if it helps.
  6. Sw, You are in my friends list. B) DC...you are still my friend too! :D
  7. Now that is Funny! :D
  8. Well OK. I think that we need to add NC to our friends club too! :D
  9. It kills me that these gas/octane debates go on and on. $200 more per year for the gas that it is supposed to be used? Same discussion on the BMW, Mercedes, and even on Harley forums... put what you want in it it is your car. I am going to use the octane that my cars are supposed to have.
  10. Well I don't think that "bensisco" will be adding you anytime soon! ;) I was only trying to help the guy out... Thanks. You can be my friend!
  11. I have just run quotes on 2002 - 2003 - 2004 LS 430s looking at less than $10/ 6 months difference between the (3) cars. There is no way it should be to far off from one to another. I also did this with a couple of carriers so I would call to check...maybe you are putting in something wrong and missing a discount? Also just did a quote with another carrier we write business with... 04 LS430 408/6 m 03 LS430 388/6 m 02 LS430 376/6 m

  13. No friend request for me. You are just a nice guy DC what can I say? Hey by the way will you be my friend? :) J/K
  14. Wow NC...was typing almost the same exact thing! Couldn't agree more.
  15. RX...I do know how easy it is to do. I do not mind paying a reasonable fee for the simple reason that between having a 20 month old running around the house and a wife that is due in about 6 weeks on top of working 6 days a week and all of the other stuff that has to be done on a day to day basis around a home I just don't have time to do anything. And to be honest the last thing that I want to do is get under my car or any car. Some people enjoy working on cars and some don't, I personally don't. I want to put the key in and drive and if it needs to be fixed I will pay to have it fixed. I just don't like being charged $165 in labor for something I know didn't require much more than time than the oil change anyway. I was just wondering what others paid for this service because in the future I may just use the Toyota Dealership if the charge is close to the same.
  16. Well took the RX330 in for oil change, tire rotation and balance, and a Trans Drain and Fill. Did not even ask how much it would be since I have used this same guy for 4-5 years. The oil changes, tire rotation and balance usually run me $65.00, which is fine. Well got the new guy there on the phone and told him wife was going to drop the Lex off there around 11:00 and be back to pick it up around 12:30...this would be fine told him what I wanted done. Figured bill would be about $150...or so. Wife was *BLEEP*ed car wasn't ready until around 2:30. Asked her how much the bill was $240.00. Labor was $165.00. Hell all that had to be done other than the oil change, and rotation, is simpley taking the plug out of the bottom of the transmission and refilling it with 4 qts of fluid. I looked over the bill and it said performed SEVERE MAT 85,000 mile service. Check inspect all...etc. Oil filter, oil, trans drain and fill, and balance rotate all 4 tires. Well not positive on this but I am sure that the local Toyota Dealership wouldn't have charged me this much. I have not made up my mind and since I did not ask how much the bill would be I am just going to pay it and not say anything. But I may call him and just ask why the bill was so high? What do you guys think?
  17. but its a jag which means ford and I would rather not touch it until they can prove themselves once again. Jag has not built a reputable car in decades. steviej I saw one and WOW. I would take it for a spin! steviej- I think Jags have come a long way. And I am pretty sure Ford doesnt even own Jaguar. Jaguar Cars Ltd., better known simply as Jaguar (pronounced [ˈdʒæɡjuːər]) is a manufacturer of luxury and executive motor cars, headquartered in Coventry, England, and now operated as part of the Jaguar Land Rover business owned by Tata Motors of India.[2] Jaguar was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company by Sir William Lyons in 1922, originally making motorcycle sidecars before switching to passenger cars. The name was changed to Jaguar after World War II due to the unfavourable connotations of the SS initials.[3] Jaguar cars are designed in an engineering centre at their headquarters in Coventry, England and are manufactured in one of three English Jaguar plants; Castle Bromwich in Birmingham, Halewood near Liverpool and Gaydon in Oxfordshire.
  18. I knew that was going to get on here. Good Call.
  19. I know you did not say all Lexusfreak. We are good was just pointing out some of us BMW owners are still OK! Hey by the way I have the Lexus incase the BMW breaks down! J/K :whistles: :D My neighbor loves his S type. Just bought his wife a new Caddy...and he keeps telling her he is going to sell it. But he won't. Said he loves the car.
  20. Wow... Lexusfreak now don't start bashing my BMW :) I have a Rx330 and still love it even though my wife drives it for the most part. I have driven the rx350 as well. The X5 and the Rx drive completely different. I have had a Mercedes C230 and have driven a few of IS's too. Driven the E class and BMW 335i. I like them all and think the feel of a BMW or a Mercedes is much different from a Lexus. As far as the interior of the Lexus Rx330 I actually like it better than my X5. But when it comes to the paint, and handling of the vehicles there is no question I like the way the X5 drives. The paint on BMW's and Mercedes seems to be a much better quality. There are pros and cons of each. When you speak of reliability there is no question that Lexus and Toyota are reliable cars. But Mercedes and BMW's aren't pieces of junk that fall apart on the side of the road. The whole time I had the Mercedes there was only (1) problem that I had with it a pulley recall. My BMW...as of yet has been trouble free and hope it stays that way. If I have a problem the BMW dealership will do the same thing Lexus did. Come pick it up, bring me a new car to drive and fix it under warranty. My Lexus was picked up a few times for some minor problems...no big deal. Well that sums it up. So it is only BMW owners who drive extremely arrogantly and aggressively. I will remember that the next time I see someone in a IS driving like a bat out of Hell. My BMW drives 10 times better in snow and ice than my AWD Lexus...that is a fact. I have driven my Rx330 many times in the snow and it will get me there but it in no way compares to the feeling of the X5 in the snow. The main reason that most of the C classes and 335's are on the side of the road is the TIRES they are equipped with. Sport tires are put on most of these cars and they are not made for snow. The C class I had was a train wreck to drive if it snowed. But if I had put the proper tires on it, I would have been fine other than if it bottomed out of course. I have heard quite a few people on here that have had problems with their IS's in the snow and Ice. I am sure that I will buy another Lexus in the future. They are great cars...not saying I will never have another Mercedes or BMW.
  21. Nope go with the Bridgestone's. They are a great tire all of the way around.
  22. CD. Glad everything seem like it will work out for you. The carfax thing I don't think has anything to do with the police report. When you file the claim it will go into a CLUE report. Most of the time the insurance companies and dealerships as well as shops report the info to carfax. It is possible you other one had just not shown up. Good luck.
  23. I was just kidding with ya. :)
  24. awh SW. You feeling ok? J/K. Dens if she was excluded then there is no reason to be waiting for anything. Call your company tell them yo want to get you car into a shop to get it fixed. Not sure if you have rental even if you are not old enough to rent a car ( not sure how old you are ) parents can have it and you can use the Lexus or BMW :) and not sure if ca will file this as a uninsured motorist claim but they may. Pay your deductible but just a FYI you will be lucky to see any $$$ back. Think about it she more than likely will have no assets for your insurance co to go after. So your company will get your car fixed for you and don't worry to much about it. It could always be worse. My neighbor was hit while on his Harley by an uninsured driver messed him up right good. The state of MD has installed cameras in a lot of state cars with tag scanners to find uninsured drivers and get them off of the road.
