  1. Lisinopril (blood pressure medication)
  2. My 04 rx330 I could open my garage door 1/4 mile down the road! :) my GX 460 I have to be in my driveway! I know what you are talking about...have no idea of a solution but if you figure it out please share. Not that it matters but BMW is the same and the last Mercedes was like that too. I used to love my rx330 because as soon as I could see my house I could open the door.
  3. Welcome to LOC! I have a 10 GX 460. I find the back up sensors "park assist" to be more helpful than the camera. Do you have park assist and is it on?
  4. Welcome to LOC! I will assume that you have a 2010 GX as I do...and I will say your mpg's are amazing. I avg about 15 - 16. But I do about 50/50 highway/city driving and I also like to put my foot in it occasionally! :) On trips it is much better. Is the vibration at all speeds? I have no vibration but I have heard of a few at certain speeds that have. Have you checked the air in your tires? Got mine back from service and it was riding rough and my air pressure was at 37 psi cold adjusted to 32 huge difference. This is more than likely not your problem but it may help to reduce what you are feeling. I think I would have to go back to the dealership and ask them to explain this characteristic of the design? Mine doesn't have it but if it did I would be back to the dealersip until it didn't. Best of luck.
  5. Go in to the settings...it can be cut off. I think you can also hit the button 2x and it will skip the instructions.
  6. Can you cut the park assist feature and turn it back on?
  7. Either would be better. I like amsoil but mobile one is fine too. I think the studies give amsoil a little better rating..but I will be careful here this is like asking what is the best wax or the best gas to buy. I know for my Harley everone swears by redline... I use amsoil for the BMW because the Indy garage I go to sells it and the Lexus I will let Toyota use their syn fluids in.
  8. I don't think it would void the warranty. But I keep to the factory scheduled services actually change the oil before it needs it. The BMW is every 10k or 1 year. Harley is 5k or every year. Now the GX is also every 10k and I did get it changed at 4k already. I will let it go to 8k after 10k mile service. I may be wrong but I think SW has put synthetic in his already. Maybe he will chime in regarding the warranty.
  9. Paul...because it's better...of course... :chairshot: (only kidding around with you) I also use synthetic amsoil in my BMW...Redline...in my Harley...and whatever the synthetic oil Toyota uses in my GX... I used to use Amsoil in my RX330. (This info below is from Wikipedia) These are all of the reasons that I started and continue to use. To many reasons for me to think of this morning why I use it! :) The technical advantages of synthetic motor oils include:[citation needed] Measurably better low and high temperature viscosity performance - this I see proof in my Harley! Better chemical & shear stability Decreased evaporative loss Resistance to oxidation, thermal breakdown and oil sludge problems Extended drain intervals with the environmental benefit of less oil waste. Improved fuel economy in certain engine configurations. Better lubrication on cold starts Longer engine life
  10. Paul...I'll trade you my bills for your money!
  11. Your right about that. With 1.9%, which is what I financed mine for, plus the $1000. certificate, plus 10% off msrp, plus trade, it does slim down things a bit. I don't know how much cash Toyota has on hand to finance these promotions and I wonder how much they allocate to the Lexus division. At some point the bill does come due. Not to mention all the payouts for the acceleration complaints. HA! 1.9% on a GX... :cries: No way...at least when I bought mine...the best...BEST you could get tier 1 credit was around 4%. The finance specials they run on the ES's, IS,s RX's do not apply to GX, LS, or LS... I had financed my X5 when I bought it at .9%...
  12. Pandora is the best. I renewed my SAT radio for Traffic and Weather...which I don't use that much but...all I listen to is Pandora...
  13. Well I stand corrected again! If you connect via USB. The volume is locked. However when you connect via Bluetooth...as I almost always do the volume is adjustable. What has kind of confused me is I always start pandora before getting in the car the volume is all the way down and when the bluetooth connection is made it raises the volume all the way up. I did think it was locked but it is not. THE USB is absolutley locked and the volume can't be adjusted.
  14. :D :D Had a few beers Paul what can I say? :D B) :D
  15. That is a LOT of miles...I would pass on it for the price unless you have complete service records. Even then that price seems high to me on a 95 with 248k on it. Any car with that many miles on it will end up having some repairs needed... Good luck...and welcome to LOC!
  16. That's because the GX is BAD AS@! Paul... I wonder if with the increase in gas prices if that will start slowing down the larger suv sales again? I know if gas wasn't a business expense that I pay for out of my company I would not be thrilled with the mpg's I have been getting. 15.5 the past few times was avg about 17.8 earlier...summer...and now I have been putting my foot in her a little too. That v8 sounds good! :D
  17. You know I thought this made a difference too but it doesn't...the volume of the iPhone becomes fixed...so you can't adjust the volume on the phone once it is connected. I thought you could but someone corrected me on here...went and tried it and sure enough I was wrong. To tell you the truth I use Pandora all of the time and I always start it before I get in the GX and have the volume as low as it can be...kind of muted and when I get in and the Bluetooth connects it starts playing fine. Have been doing that since I have had the GX and never thought about it. This is of course unless there is something I haven't learned yet!
  18. Welcome to LOC from the Delmarva Peninsula...I think you may know where that is? I have a 2010 gx460...can't help you much with the seat covers but just wondering do you plan on leaving the covers on? I guess you couldn't use the ventilated seats with the covers...why not just use a beach towel or are you a "serious" fisherman...(meaning you will be going a lot :) )
  19. Welcome to LOC! Sorry to hear about the issues...my previous rx330 had the dash rattle. Have not heard much about it on the 350's. I think you need to call the dealer. They put a few pieces of foam under my dash and it took care of it. Quiet as could be after that. It will drive you nuts too! Good luck let us know how you make out...
  20. Welcome to LOC! How about a frosty one... frosty!
