  1. i think thats the way it is supposed to be mine didnt spin freely after the new bearing was put in but like you said it is smooth and could be spun with my pinky. just put it back together and you will feel a difference. check it like a week or two later and it it will spin like spinners not really but it will spin more than your old ones and you will be able to tell the difference once you spin it.
  2. try looking at the workshop tutorial section there is a page with pictures on installation and parts needed.
  3. doesnt honda claim 0-60 in like 6 seconds? maybe with a gs430 but not the sc. try and start the race at 60mph then you will definitely take him. ;)
  4. get your old one out and use it as a mold to lay the carbon in and that shold do the trick. it will take time but it would be cool!!!!
  5. well my quest to get rid of that noise went from lower controll arm and ball joints to strut arm bushings to upper controll arm, but that squeek only went away after i changed the sway bushigns. and i think it was only 20 bucks or something like that. and if it doesnt get rid of it you didnt spend money like me so feel happy. but my car is as smooth and tight as new :D
  6. well thats one more symptom to add to the list ;)
  7. how tight is tight? i had mine done at Napa and well it did come back tighter but after the care was driven for about a month i had to change the brakes and i spun the hub and well it was much smoother and free spinning than that of the old.
  8. if your ecu senced any knocking it would go in to a safety mode so try disconnect the battery for more than 20 seconds...i would do it for 2 min just to be sure. and that should give you about 30 more horses. but thats only if your ecu is in safety mode
  9. carbon fiber!!!!
  10. it could have been mostly tire balance in your case
  11. its probably just a rubbing compound. thats why it sais aluminum and headlights. like mothers metal polish works well on plastics also.
  12. this worn bushing can cause pulsating brake ....that was all of the symptoms i experienced
  13. i second that notion. those dry up and squeek and its the most irritating thing in the world!!!
  14. ok it could be that the later 94s meaning actually in 94 and not late 93 came with the emblem, or it could have been an option im not sure i have a 90. but as far as i have seen all of the 94s have the emblem thats really the only way i can tell from the back untill i walk to the side and confirm with the rims
  15. well the 0-60 times recorded on magazines and factory specs are probably launched with left foot brake and gas at the same time to rev to about 2 grand then let the brake go and that will definitely bring some time down
  16. yea that smoothes out at high speed is exactly what was up with my car. everything was ok at 80mph but i could only do that at late night or early morning not to mention at the risk of getting my licence taken away :o
  17. try check out your trac. fuse. my light didnt go out and it went to the dealer to be looked at and it was just the fuse.
  18. changing trailing arm bushings? check out my tutorial in the workshop tutorial section.
  19. i think the emblems came on the car as early as 93 but it was definitely on there from 94 when the LS got some asthetic updates with the 16s and side skirts and F/R bumper stuff
  20. most likely it is your engine and tranny mounts. my LS had the same problem and what made it worse was that my rear trailing arm bushing was worn so that my rear brakes pulsed..kindof... so if you have a pulsing brake that can also contribute to the shifter shifting...
  21. i have a similar thing that has happened to my bumper over the years of the hawaiian sun. my gold bumper isnt that gold. i think its the flex additive in the paint for the bumpers that gives it that early fade or browning effect.
  22. its really no different from any other brake job.
  23. if you dont mind spending the money you can look around for custom CNC machining shops and dish out the cash for a 1 in the world kind of deal.
  24. you just need to grease urethane bushings every 2-3 years or when the squeeking comes up and if your taking an arm off you can check out my tutorial on the arm in the tutorial section ;)
  25. dont forget the price of the 2jz is like double the 1jz
