  1. i think that nissan is something else. the M45 was a Cedric and now is a Fuga. and that Teana i think was FF? but it has super sofisticated electronics and was featured in a lot of mags when it came out.
  2. yea but the starter wont keep on turning the motor over so as long as the ignition is off the car will shut down
  3. coming to hawaii a? thats cool but why not keep the car you will preaty much have the fastest soarer on the island and you might even be able to casue some trouble to the auto supras.
  4. hey i think thats a zero crown in the very right picture! its a very nice car! my boss has one in japan!!
  5. it actually requires quite alot of work. you need to make punches to push out the seals( i used some pvc pipe and a punch i machined out of aluminum.) you need some wired tools like i think it was a 32mm hex? i had to mill out a rectangle block that was 32mm and turn it with a monkey wrench. lots of work but its possible.
  6. it could be in the engine compartment. you have to take off the lid and look at the picture of the fuses. it could also be in side by the drivers feet(left side?) but check the engine compartment first.
  7. i think between the 3uzfe and the 2jzge(NA) is 30 lbs so if you consider the extra weight of the turbo and stuff its probably the same or maybe the 2J is even a bit heavier.
  8. well bad news buddy, the starter is hard to get to as its under the intake manifold and to hit you even harder the two nuts you need to take off are right against the firewall and are hard to reach also as for the starter issue if its anything its probably the solinoid contact has pitted and is fusing together and if this presists the starter will stay engauged and you wont be able to turn your car off unless you disconnect your battery.
  9. try and check the ABS fuse. mine was blown and the dealer found it after 90 bucks labor and $1.50 parts the light was off!
  10. not sure on the price but they should be in the neighborhood of $125-150? try do a google or yahoo search on valmos bushings, or even on the forum and there will be a link somewhere.
  11. why dont you just order 2 of them because they are exactly the same.
  12. classic symptoms of lower control arm bushing failure. you have 3 options:replacment arm about 350-500 bucks, daizen bushings, valmos bushings i would recomend if you dont want to pay the price of the arm because daizen bushings are polyurethane and they need greasing every year or every good rain.
  13. there are 3 total but only 2 of them are the ones that really go bad i have a pic of the steering bushing that went bad in the like below. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...=rack++bushings
  14. well if you want to go faster thats what you have to do because max speed on a japanese car is i think 180km/h which is about 119mph
  15. well this is actually a section for instructions that are given but anyway... if you have the crank bolt off you need something like a gear puller. just go and buy a gear puller and you might need to put a socket in the place where the crank bolt used to be so that the gear puller can reach, and it should pull right off!
  16. basic bolt on mods wont give you much power at all. my friend with a sc300 has intake and exhaust with no cat, and it actually feels like it lost power... well bottom end power that is which really makes the 300 feel sluggish under normal city driving but it sounds super nice at high revs. but the slow feel could be a result of being used to the 400. as for the difference in power between the IS and SC is probably from stricter emmisions on the IS while still keeping the same motor. fuel map is probably way different and well it is a vvt-i so its supposed to make more power but keep fuel efficiency? yea so i just blame emissions rules. and if you plan to do a motor swap too many minor things are different in the 400 to make it worth using a 400 plus 300's are cheaper anyway.
  17. it could just be allignment
  18. i just changed my arms but it is verry possible to do it yourself with the right tools. take a look at the tutorial section where i posted how to change the arm i have a list of tools. and to change the bushing you probably need a reciprocating saw to cut out the metal sleve in the arm bushing to finally get the bushing out.
  19. the thing with urethane is that it needs greasing every once in a while, say once a year or two? i guess if you are willing to spend the money and dont really race than the valmos stuff is for you.
  20. come on your supposed to post pics!!
  21. its a bit tricky because its kind of tight and i dont know how much the bushings cost because i made my own but um i assume its about 50 bucks? anyway do a search on rack bushing and you should pull up my thread.
  22. dont know about your ac but i took out and installed my new arm in about 2 hours on the ground per side and one side i took pics so i would have to guess maybe 2-3 hours per side with install of the bushings.
  23. do you guys have oil in there?
