  1. Fantastic result...looks fun !
  2. Hi...welcome to the Forum It is either one of two things... 1. the air con system is low on gas 2. the air con relay has failed (common problem) LINK TO RELAY http://www.ebay.com/itm/Air-Conditioning-Clutch-A-C-Relay-For-Lexus-Pontiac-Scion-Toyota-90987-02028-OEM-/401010132525?hash=item5d5e11062d:g:cUIAAOSwwbdWHOIk&vxp=mtr After fitting you have to go through a reset on the air cond system and reset the engine management lamp if that has come on as well Cheers Trevor
  3. Hi Edwin...welcome to the Forum That looks absolutely awesome ! We were wondering whether the tyres scrub on the arches at all? Cheers Trevor
  4. How many wires are there going into the plug?
  5. Hi Ben...welcome to the Forum Although I do not have first hand experience with a discharging RX450h I am amazed that it has gone faulty as it is so new unless of course there is an assembly fault which is leading to the battery discharge. Alternatively, is there any likelihood that an interior light (due to partially closed door/trunk) or similar was left on and this led to the discharge? Equally, a battery of good quality manufacture should recover unless it has completely 100% discharged which would then have to be down to something discharging it. Easiest way is for the engine battery to be disconnected and an amps reading taken to discover how much it is drawing and then a case of isolating different circuits to establish the cause. Good luck with finding the cause and keep us update on the result Cheers Trevor
  6. Have a look through the information in this link to see if there is anything that looks like it could resolve the issue
  7. Hi Josh...welcome to the forum Here is a link to a site listing all the codes http://www.wikiobd.co.uk/ Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor
  8. Hi Chris Thanks for the information you have provided for the reprogramming procedure...very useful. I shall place it in the Tutorial section shortly Cheers Trevor
  9. Hi Ryan....welcome to the Forum It sounds like it could be the ignition coil on cylinder no.3 lots of info on this forum regarding faulty coil packs Let us know how you get on Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi Michael...welcome to the Forum I would advise opening the tailgate and removing the inner panel card to see what is occurring inside...more than likely a fault solenoid Keep us updated to what you find Cheers Trevor
  11. Look forward to an update on the progress...cheers
  12. Hi Paul The crossover looks awesome but feel it looks just like the C-HR from Toyota...which is fine because thats a great looking vehicle Cheers Trevor
  13. Sorry not sure about the specific fix but personally I would drop down each seat to isolate which one(s) are affected and then look at readjusting them so they don't rattle
  14. Hi....not sure whats available in the US but in the UK there are quite a few kits available...no problems fitting them as far as I know
  15. Hi, could be poor battery connections and especially the earth points, worth checking first to eliminate them.
  16. You could look at the exhaust being blocked...see how much gas comes out when revved and if it sort of whistles then there could be a blockage
  17. It does sound like the belt is not gripping the pulleys either due to having slack tension or being worn. Alternatively, if the alternator has water in it (from cleaning under the bonnet) and it freezes then this can distort and crack the casing (clearly visible)
  18. Hi Rick....welcome to the Forum Not sure if its a manufacturer fault as such because it happens on my Honda and usually have to reset the switch to get it back on track. Have considered if its a relay fault (timer function)...also worth checking the windshield to see if the sensor area is clean. Be interesting to see what ideas come through Cheers Trevor
  19. Hi...and welcome to the Forum It would sound that there is still some air left in the cooling system. The best way to track this down is to go round with a laser temperature gun and measure at points all around the system. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  20. Hi....welcome to the Forum Wow, that is a very big project you're looking to undertake ! I wouldn't even know where to start as going from a vehicle that is completely different to its petrol engine counterpart....not a conventional transmission, not a conventional charging system as such, probably completely different floorpan, etc, etc. Maybe cheaper to buy a petrol engine RX and get a good sale price on your 400h? Let us know how you get on with this.... Cheers Trevor
  21. You could look at LPG conversions which won't bring the mileage up but at a cheaper cost than petrol it's the 'cost per mile' that is enhanced. A remap of the ECU is another option to improve performance and economy
  22. Hi Nadira...welcome to the Forum I would be tempted to go back to the first stage and return the original parts back to the vehicle and see which one's affected the running. Somewhere along the line you replaced a component and this affected the running, I would retrace those steps. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  23. Sometimes, the engine management system needs to relearn the settings so after disconnecting/reconnecting if you take it for a drive using half open/closed throttle settings and putting the air con on along with lights to load the system so the idle speed can be relearnt.
  24. Hi Mark...welcome to the Forum Sounds like a good deal and a fine car ... go for it Let us know how you get on Cheers Trevor
  25. Hi William....welcome to the Forum Sounds like a great car....post up a photo of it if you want. Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor
