  1. Replace them with the new nakamichi speakers, The old ones were paper, The new ones are poly with a poly cone (tweeter) Built in, Much better than the old style and will last longer [ no rot/mold to deal with ].

  3. I dated the secretary at lexus's service department for a month. :D jkjk. No, i made a deal with the manager at lexus when i bought the car for him to chrome it. They'll do the job on any car. I'm not sure how much money though. Nice touch.
  4. I certainly have a real good idea what Army is going through. After what I went through you tend to look at life/accidents with a enlightened view. Army will be fine and beleive me he will be more aware of his surroundings because of this and that very well may save his life in the future. Experience, Application, Success. God Bless you Army.
  5. so do the struts affect the caster or does the lower control arm affect the caster? thanks. The struts a common problem on the 2nd gen GS's and would make the clicking noise you descibed when accelerating and stopping. However it could be the lower control arm as well. Labor is very expensive to replace the control arm, so I'd want to get the maximum mileage out the replacement control arm that's being installed on the car So I'd only go with a new one. You can check the control arm out by looking at the bushings, seeing if they're worn out. Also jacking up the car and seeing if there is any play from side to side or from front to rear. <_< I would definetly buy new myself, Just came across them and posted for the heluvit. I wouls also replace both sides but that is just me. ;)
  6. Did you torque the plugs? Cross a plug wire? Loose wire? Are all the injectors plugged in and operational?
  7. Pick up a cheap used cluster and switch out the plate, Save the rest for parts, You'll need them.

  9. Army, Godspeed on the recovery, I just went through major surgery (hip replacement, check my avitar) It is all about recovery, recovery, recovery, Don't let it play on your mind too much. Watch out for those pills they are really nasty after a while. Keep your metabilism up, If you work the rest of your body your healing will be accelerated. You'll be better than ever when your healed. ;)

  11. What type of shop? How much for the system installed?
  12. It is the amp, Poor location. Make sure the drain tube isn't blocked or misdirected, Check the trunk seal, Water gets in the amp location and fries them. You have to waterproof the amp.

  15. I have researched the "swap" when I did work on my 93 ES cluster, The only cluster that will fit in your 96 are 92-96 clusters. Definetly go with Brian @ www.lextech.org. ;)

  23. What type/mfg. are the 17" wheels? What mfg./size tires are the 17" Were the brake pad shims also replaced? Explain in more detail what you mean by "heavy breaking sound"
