  10. Agreed, A replacement is in order. Whenever there is a problem with glass on a automobile, Replace it. At least that is what I would do. ;)

  15. Start by cleaning the terminals and get a new battery, Your starter is probably just fine. Wait until the car starts then let go of the key [ good habit ] You'll find with clean connections and a new battery the car will start very quick so you won't have to hold on to the key for too long.

I don't beleive for one minute you even tried to help yourself before posting your wants. That is typically refered to as laziness. I know more on the topic you seek information on than just about anyone on these boards, So you got cocky with the wrong member. Good Luck

  21. I am sure the paint will be fine of course it needs to be a specific paint for plastic which allows it to be flexible without cracking but your painter will know that. I will be curious to see pic's and what you think as I have a 96 and wonder about doing the same. Please let us know what it costs also. good luck Whats up with people who ask questions and never come back :chairshot: na i am here just still getting my car fixed so i dont know how it will look....but my guy is doing it for 400 bucks Post pix when you get it back ;)
  22. It def sounds like the amp. Have it tested at a reputable stereo shop. There are places that refurbish them or you might take a chance on finding one used at a wrecker yard [ salvage yard/ junk yard ] You won't find a aftermarket amp that will be a direct replacement, Another option is to put a whole new aftermarket system in.
  23. Low 12's in a 1/4 mi. with a stock LS400?, There would have to be some serious mods to achieve that. Now the 0-60 6+ sec. time is a little more realistic but you would still need some mods on the earlier models. 1990 Lexus LS 400 8.1 16.1 1992 Lexus LS 400 8.0 16.0 1993 Lexus LS 400 8.2 16.2 1995 Lexus LS 400 7.4 15.5 1998 Lexus LS 400 6.3 14.8 2001 Lexus LS 430 6.7 14.8
  24. Merry Christmas to all, and Happy Holidays
  25. That's on paper. In real world driving the the 2AZ-FE feels comfortable at high rpm, probably because it has a balance shaft to enhance smoothness. Also, in the real world, when driving a 2AZ-FE Camry you find your speed creeping up to 75-80 MPH even when you didn't intend to drive that fast. The Altima 2.5 4 cyl, doesn't have a personality like that. Instead, you have to consciously press the accelerator further to get the car to go that fast. Some Nissan engines are really responsive however. Like the mighty Titan / Armada V8 which is a thrill to drive. Hey army, Congrats on your mom's new Toy. I had a 94 4cyl Camry, Beautiful car [ wish I still had her ] Your mom should be real happy with her choice.
