  1. yes its pioneersuby the pioneer cd changer guy.you can try holding in the button like the other responder said. . also there is a pin point hole under the button that a small pin will hit the reset button and the changer should cycle and the magazine will then be ejectable. if the eject motor is broken then it is very difficult to get the cds out. i would only recommend an electronically incline individual to try. if the magazine is forced out then changer will be unrepairable and not worth the price of the cds which could be replaced for 5.00 a piece used probably.the changer costs 1300.00 new and 530.00 to refurbish it. not worth 6 cds.
  2. there is 2 fuses. one is radio fuse 1 and one is the cigarette lighter fuse circuit. if the radio works and lighter works it must be the changer.
  3. your on the right quest rep[lacing the speakers.. the 8 speaker system sounds very good for oem when all the speakers are working well. i am sure your speaker fabic has all disintegrated. you can replace the rear woofers easily just standard 6x9 4 ohm 15w. the dash speakers are called squawkers beleive it or not and will be harder to find a replacemant may have to find from a salvage yard inn a dry but not hot climate like great plains states. i have the info from the es300 factory shop manual on hjow to remove. i could fax it to you. pm a fax number.
  4. does your 1992 sc radio id number p1600 or p6800? the id number is on the cassette flap door. the p1600 system was the base system and does not lend itself to any cd changer hook up at all. it has an internal amp and was not prewired with a cd changer cable. the p6800 pioneer cd changer button radio would bean easy upgrade to a plug in and play install for an es300 cd changer mounted under the passenger seat . i have the custom cables to run a new cd changer cable to the inside location. there is no way to use the prewired trunk cable as it is in the middle of the 2 inch thick main wiring harness.
  5. yes every lexus model has a different radio and a different amp. it makes it hard to find any replacements so lexus stays in the subwoofer business that way. heres some ipof the ohms i know. the pioneer system cars for ls 400 90 to 94 has a 8 inch 2 ohm sub. the 93 to 97 gs a 10 inch 2 ohm. the 12 inch sc is 1 ohm.the nak systems all run higher ohms than the pioneer. the 12 inch 92 to 97 sc nak is 5 ohm, the 8 inch ls400 nak 90 to 94 is 5 ohm. on the newer 2nd generation the 98 up gs has 2 ohm door speakers on the from and 4 ohm on the rear. the sub is 4 ohm pioneer and 6 ohm nak.
  6. i know where 3 of the 93 ls400 nak amps are located. they run from 325.00 to 450.00. that is going price from salvage yards. if you want the names of the salvage yards email me or call and i will give you there phone numbers. they are mainly on the east coast ands 1 in detroit. or you coulds buy the perefectly working ls400 nakamichi amp i have for 275.00. be glad to give you leads for cheaper but they dont exist. the amp cost 2000.00 when new and is 700.00 refurbed by dealer.
  7. switch to 92 to 96 es300 cd changer which are 3rd generation pioneer instead of first generation panasonic in the 12 disc. no skipping. play cdrts better. pioneer invented the home burner so all their cd changers play cdrts from first generation up.
  8. i will send you the 93 ls400 nakamichi amp. if it is the right one and it works you can pay me the 200.00 then. will that be agreeable to you. you are taking no risk. i nakamichi amps cost 2000.00 new and 700.00 refurbished at the dealer. 475.00 refurbished at a repair place without going to the dealer. i am asking only 200.00 exchange for a working n204 radio amp. i will send you picture of it if you send your email address.
  9. i have one that works for 93 nakamichi radio n204 the number on the cassette flap door.. check your pm private messages.
  10. no lexus made it impossible to use anything other than a first genedrtion lexus changer. i recommnend a 95 or 96 es300 6 disc. they never skip and play cdrs well. email for pictures at pioneersuby@woh.rr.com
  11. theres no wiring to replace if you switch to the 90 to 92 nak system . both systems had 4 channells in the radio and 1 channel under the cd changer bracket.all the connectors are the same.............................................................. the 93 94 nak system went to a 5 channel amp in the trunk none inside the radio so that wiring is all together different................................................... so to review the equipment needed to change over you need a 90 to 92 nak headunit, nak subwoofer amp and the subwoofer and the dealer or salvage yard unavailable cd changer cable. (i custom make them ) the 90 to 92 tape pioneer system door speakers are not that different and may not have to be replaced. so only possible switch would be the door speakers and you only have to change the speakers not the baffle boxes................................................................................ if you wanted to switch to 93 94 5 channel nak amp system that would require some rewiring although if you mounted the 5 channel amp under the dash or passenger seat it would make wiring easier to connect the speaker outputs connctor which usews easy to get toyota wiring adaptor.lexus 2nd generation speaker wire adapters are not available commercially but the first generation amplfier in the radio type like your car are.. but if you just switched the 90 to 92 nak system you wouldnt need any speaker wire adapters.
  12. sc nak amps are very hard to find . they are great amps but due to location in quarterpanel get water damaged. nak amps cost 475.00 to have rebuilt so used price will probably keep going up until it approximates rebuiding a blown amp. so i wouldnt wait to long to find a working used one. i predict very high value of working nak amps in the future. as far as the upgrade you need to run power off battery as pioneer amp wiring not adequate. also the nak amp is 5 channel and the pioneer amp 4 channel and 1 channel sub amp by the sub . so new wiring has to be run to the 5 ohm nak sub when it is switched with the 1 ohm pioneer sub. other wise the switch over is a relatively easy compared with after market instaltions which are full of problems such as dead batteries and bad vibrations.
  13. if the radio has a cd button it is prewired. if it has a tape button only it is not prewoired. you would have to get a cd button radio ands cd changer cable to hook up the factory changer. the changer uses a similar changer with the same 6 disc same magazine as the 89 to 98 pioneer 6 disc changer in your bmw cars. i have a complete system for your ls400 if you would like to switch over to the pioneer cd changer system. another option since you woulsd need a new radio anyway would be to switch over to the nakamichi ls400 system which was the best ever installed in an oem application. the door spewakers and tweeters could stay butn yopu would have to swichn over to the nak subwoofer which is 5 ohms instead of the 1 ohm sub of the pioneer system. the pioneer subs were made out of papaer and have life of 10 to 12 years only. the nak subs are still going strong.
  14. yes evrything matches up and is plug in and play to install the cd button radio.... p6801 for 92 93 .......and p6804 for 94 to 96........, the id number is on the cassette flap door. .. i have not been aware a different amp is needed. the changer wiring comes out of the radio and goes to the cd changer so i dont think the amp has any changer wiring and would not be needed to be changed........................................................................ so all you need is a cd button head unit , a real cd changer cable with shielded wiring and es 300 connctors(i have them custom amde by professional) and the es 300 cdx-m9071zt cd changer. you can run the cd changer cable to any place in the car so could do custom instalation in the glovebox or under one of the seats. or in the usual factory trunk location near the left wheel well.. the trunk floor is all different on a non cd changer car from the factory. it has no predrilled holes for the changer and totally different support beams in the floor ....................................................................................... i have helped many es300 owners with retro factory instralls and have even hung the changer from the rear trunk ceiling a more usual location than on the floor. all tape button only radios(id# p1700 and p1702) were not prewired for a cd changer thus a a custom cable is needed.
  15. error 21 on cdx-p9176zt pioneer made changer for nakamichi system means a focus failure of the laser. clean cds and clean laser . if not improved then the spin motor is bad and not allowing focusing.
  16. maybe the nak amp under the cd changer was replaced with a pioneer amp. it would only put out 4 channels instead of 5. or the amp may be damged and not working to specs. is there a 12 inch by 9 inch by 3 inch trunk cd changer. it takes up the whole bracket space. the pioneer amp is only 8 inch by 4 inch by 3 inch and only has a small heat sinc on one end and only takes up a third of the space in the bracket under the cd changer.
  17. LEXUS CD CHANGERS HAVE 3 SERIAL COMMUNICATION LINES(NAMED TXM, TXS ) LIKE NO OTHER CD CHANGER OR MP3PLAYER. SO THERE IS NO WAY TO HOOK UP A UNIVERSAL CHANGER TO ANY LEXUS RADIO CD CHANGER PORT. THAT IS WHYT LEXUS CD CHANGERS COST 1250.00 ON THE AVERAGE. YOUR PAYING FOR A KNOCKOFF PROOF SYSTEM.BLITZSAFE HAS TRIED AND FAILED SO NO THIRD WORLD CHANGER COULD POSSIBLY WORK THOUGH THE CD CHANGER PORT. YOU ARTE LEFT WITH FM MNODULATED OR CASETTE INSERT . WHEN YOU PLAY ALTERNATE MUSIC THROUGH THE TAPE OR FM PORT THE RADIO DOES NOT TURN ON THE EQUAIZER IN THE EXTERNAL AMP TO FULL FIDELITY . THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE HIGH END SOUND IS THROUGH THE CD CHANGER PORT . THERE IS A GUY IN ENGLAND WORKING ON ON ADAPTER BUT IT IS NO EASY THING TO ACCOMPLISH WITH THE 3 SERIAL COMMUNICATION LINES. SO I RECOMMEND HAVIJNG A CD CHANGER WHEN YOU FGELL LIKE HIGH END MUSIC AND A FM MODULATED MP3 WHEN YOU WANT LOW FI MUSIC.
  18. there is only one cd changer the factory 6 disc that will work.you also need the glovebox parts that are used wih the changer. aftermarket fm modulated cd changers sound terrible and dont turn on the factory amp found behind the glovebox to full fidelty.
  19. the changer is pioneer made as is the radio. there are no aftermarket susbstitutes. it mounted in the console and came standard so someone removed yours. no other ledxuschanger will work as it was a special pioneer changer cdx-p9066zt that ejects out the back of the changer toward the rear seat passengers.
  20. error 21 is a focus failure. vibration of the unit could cause it . does it happen whyen driving t sitting still. if both then unit going bad.
  21. remove the backseat and spray the amp connctor with corosion removing spray. water pools under the seat . if water has pooled in the quarterpanel it will blowthe amp. the 1992 gaskets leak on the trunk lip, the air box under the amp and the left tailite.
  22. replace it with a pioneer 6 disc from 92 to96 es300 or 93 94 ls400. they are hird generation pioneer instead of first generation fujitsu that your gs 12 disc is.
  23. 3rd generation pioneer 6 disc changer found in 92 to 96 es 300 is far superior to the first genration panasonic 12 disc in the sc. you can buy one used for 225.00 that will work well for a long time.
  24. correcting my own reply. the 6 disc cd changer is pioneer as is the radio . the dvd in the console probably fujitsu but not sure.there is also a dvd player in the nav unit computer so there are actually 3 different laser disc type players in 1 vehicle.
  25. pioneer. the 6 disc magazine is the same as pioneer jd-612v
