  1. I HAVE THE RADIO PLUGS. DO YOU NEED THE CD CHANGER PLUG TOO. I GUESS IF AFTERMARKET PUT IN THERE WASNT A CD CHANGER. EMAIL ME AT PIONEERSUBY@WOH.RR.COM
  2. YES THE 93 NO CD BUTTON SYSTEM CAN BE REPLACED WITH LS400 NAKAMICHI CD CHANGER BUTTON SYSTEM SYSTEM THAT WOULD BE PLUG IN AND PLAY. YOU WOULD HAVE TO SWITCH SUB AMP AND SUBWOOFER TO 5 OHM NAKAMICHI. ALSO WILL NEED CD CHANGER CABLE AND CD CHANGER IN ADDITION TO HEADUNIT SEARCH. YOU WOULD HAVE THE BEST ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT STEREO EVER PRODUCED IN ANY VEHICLE. BETTER THAN MARK LEVINSON.
  3. YES THE 92 TO 96 ES300 CD CHANGER WORKS WELL IN SC APPLICATION. I HAVE A CD CHANER BRACKET THA FITS THE ES300 CHANGER THAT ALLOWS THE CHANGER TO SLIDE OUT OF HE COVE IT IS INSTALLED IN SO THE MAGAZINE CAN BE INSERTED. . OHERWISE THE CHANGER HAS TO BE MOUNTED SIDEWAYS STICKING OUT IN THE TRUNK SPACE 2 TO 3 INCHES. SEND FOR PICTUES OF THE CHANGER AND BRACKET. PIONEERSUBY@WOH.RR.COM
  4. nycdon, you will also need a custom made cd changer cable as the non cd button radio es300 cars of 1994 wernt prewired with a harness. the dealer does not sell the cd changer harness as it was part of the main wiribng harness. i have one of those custom cd changer harnesses . email me at pioneersuby@woh.rr.com. i have made these harnesses so you can have the great high end cd sound your 8 speaker es300 stereo puts out.the speakers are high effiency type that are perfectly matched to the amplifier under the passenger seat . the amplifier doesnt turn on to full fidelity until you install the cd button radio and the factory 6 disc cd changer with the custom cable. then you will finally hear what a nice streo system your es 300 has.it would take a several thousand dollar aftermarket system to sound better.
  5. I HAVE A IS300 AMP IN PERFECT CONDTION. IT WOULD BE WAY LESS THAN ANY 5 CHANNEL AMP YOU COULD BUY AFTERMARKET. I TAKE [PAYPAL.COM FOR CREDIT CARD PAYMENT. I WILL SEND A PAYPAL MONEY REQUEST TO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. THE AMP HAS A 30 DAY FULL REFUND IF ANY PROBLEMS. I HAVE TESTED IT AND IT WORKS FINE. PERSONAL MESSAGE ME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND I WILL SEND PICTURES.
  6. MY EMAIL ADDRESS SAME AS MY CLUB NAME PIONEERSUBY@WOH.RR.COM. I ALSO SELL 90 TO 94 LS400 ,92 TO 96 ES300 ,AND 93 TO 97 GS300 ,AND 92 TO 97 SC MODELS RADIO WITH CD BUTTON CONVERSIONS AND THE 16 FOOT CD CHANGER CABLES TO HOOK THEM UP TO FACTORY CHANGERS. THIS WOULD BE FOR EARLY GENERATION 1 VEHICLES THAT DONT HAVE A CD BUTTON RADIOS SO THOSE OWNERS CAN ENJOY THE HIGH END LEXHS CD CHANGER SOUND FROM THE FIRST GENERATION SYSTEMS.
  7. the 97 radio is id number p1705 and all the lcds went bad. the improved radio is p1712. be sure your not getting another 97 radio. the lcd will be bad on it also. there is a radio for sale on ebay right now that says it is from a 1998 but it is really a 1997 p1705 on the cassette flap door.so beware. the best thng to do is replace the lcd with the new version for the newer radio if that is the only problem with your radio. the display is 100.00 so cheaper than buying a used radio. it is quite easy to replace just a couple of screws hpld it in and 1 connctor to unplug and replug. i have full directions on how to remove radio and service manual on how to open the top of the radio. let me know if your interested in replacing your own lcd and i have all the stuff you will need to do it easily. in 200000 the es300 radio plug went from 15 pin to 20 pin so only 98 and 99 recomeended if you need more than the lcd.
  8. question 1,.............. yes i have retrofitted a 2003 indash 6 disc to the 95 es300. it isnt cheap since 2002 units retail for 1900.00 new and 500.00 used. queston 2 the 95 factory changer is too long to fit in the glovebox and the generation 2............ 97 up es300 cd changer inst compatible . i have installed the factory changer under the es300 passenger seat by running a new cd changer cable.but you already have a caBLE HIDDEN IN THE TRUNK BEHIND THE RIGHT SIDE TRUNK PANELING.so it would cost the price of a custom made cable extra to install under the passenger seat. i have the custom made cables for use on the es300 that come with a radio without a cd button. they are not prewired like your model that came with the cd controller cassette radio. the cd changer cable has the power to the changer so there are no wires to splice. the instalation would be plug in and play from the radio to the cd changer. you could run the cable under the sill plate. this type of factory cd changer install does not require profesional instaltion or any wiring diagrams like the aftermarket install would require. question 3 ........the wiring is already prewired on a 95 es300 with a cd button radioto the left corner of the trunk. the cd changer factory bracket installs in predrilled holes in the trunk floor under the carpet. the cd changer cable connctors are 2 white 10 pin and 6 pin rectangular connectors wrapped in bubble wrap hidden in the upper left rear corner of the trunk behind the paneling. question4 .......you would need to splice into all the wiring . there is no speaker adapter wiring harness made for the radio plug like you could get for most other vehicles. most stereo shops would have trouble doing an aftermarket install cheaply . they would end up getting you to buy an entire new system with new speakers and amplifier . your present system uses high effeciency low watt speakers that do not sound good played with cheap aftermarket 200.00 cd player. your system already has a power amp under the passenger seat but it is triggered by very low signal which aftermarket amps dont work with. question 5..... i believe all first genertion lexus cars were overbuilt with very high quality items including your stereo system. your system has all made in japan conmponents current and sounds better than any aftermarket system under 5000.00. and i mean sounds better not louder. there are 8 speakers in your system which are powered by the under the passenger seat amplifier. the 8 speakers were designed to work perfectly with your vehicles interior.also the amplifier doesnt turn on to full fidelity untill you hook up the factory cd changer and push the cd button. then you will finally hear your stereo at full fidelity. the internal equalizer in the radio doesnt turn on factory amp for amfm or cassette play only for cd play. that is why an fm modualted changer sounds so poorly copared to the factory changer.the radio doesnt know cd is playing it thinks an fm station is playing. also the fm signal is interfered with by fm stations in your area. any high watt aftermarket system would be prone to bad vibrations and would cause electrical problems especially if high watt system as the amp would be on all the time due to radio amplifier turn on circuit not functioning correctly. so my recomendation for the best fidelity and cheapest route is installing the factory changer either in the trunk with the factory brackets on the floor or also could hang from rear trunk ceiling with aftermarket pioneer brackets or under the passenger seat. as mentioned in question 2.
  9. if you went pioneer aftermarket stereo i could convert your gs changer to work with the aftermarket pioneer headunit for free. it would have to be a pioneer aftermarket. i also sell a gs lcd repair kit with the 100.00 lcd and the 30.00 service manual for 115.00 shipped. with my directions anyone can replkace the lcd in 45 minutes. emancy@woh.rr.com e gus mancy 853 sylvan shores dr south vienna,oh 45369 937 568 4538
  10. i am a pioneer cd changer repair person. i already have many of the the pioneer aftermarket connector parts in stock. i will keep the lexus connector parts i remove from your cd changer which i swap with the pioneer aftermarket parts. so when i go to repair a lexus cd changer i wont have to buy the parts. so thats why it is a free deal. well not quite you will have to pay the shipping my way. i will however pay to ship it back.
  11. yes the changer will work with modification. i would modify it for free if you send it to me. or i could send you a gs changer already with the pioneer modification and after you install it send me the gs changer. it would still be installed in same location use the same magazines and be controlled by the pioneer headunit.
  12. PARTYDOWN IS A GOOD COMPANY BUT THE INFORMATION FROM BLITZSAFE THE ADAPTOR COMPANY IS THE PROBLEM . THE ADAPTOR PARTYSOUND WOULD HAVE TO USE DOESNT EVEN PLUG IN ON RX AND GS CARS. . ALSO IT DOESNT PLUG INTO THE CD CHANGER CABLE LIKE OTHER ADAPTORS FOR OTHER CARS LIKE BMW . IT PLUGS INTO THE CD CHANGER PORT on the back of the radio THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE 98 UP PIONEER SYSTEM Gs and rx radios dont have a cd changer port on the back of the radio............................................................................... the factory cd changer cable on your rx300 comes out of the amplifier port which is a different size connector then the adaptor connector so the adapter cant even be plugged in anywhere to even see if it will work.even the lexus models it does plug into it like es and ls it doesnt work........................................................................................ tom es300 on this forum did an exhaustive study on his 2000 es300 and the adaptor would cut out the sound it was carrying every 7.5 seconds. so even the lexus models which have the 12 pin cd changer port on the back of the radio cant use the adaPTER. i dont even think blitzsafe is selling the lexus adapter anymore.......................................................................... i will email you with an inexpensive alternative compared to the 2000.00 dealer charge to install the rx300 factory changer and new glovebox needed to house it.i dont think lexus dealers have ever sold an rx changer new so there are clearance bargains available on a new FACTORY rx300 changer and glovebox. FM CHANGERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED BECAUSE THE RADIO THINKS AN FM STATION IS PLAYING AND DOES NNOT TURN ON THE RADIO AMPLIFER TO CD QUALITY SOUND. kit.......................................................................... they fit 1999 to 2004 rx300 models and are 1999 manufactured changers and brand new in the factory box. since they are 5 years old now they are getting clearanced. they have all worked perfectly and are new not refurbished. they are also available for 98 to 2001 es300, 98 to 2000 ls400. new in the box cd changers at bargain prices. after theses are gone lexus will only have refurbed GLOVEBOX CD CHANGERS.
  13. PIONEER SYSTEM IS THE BEST QUALITY WITH THE BEST PRICE. ALSO I CAN CONVERT YOUR FACTORY CHANGER TO PLUG IN THE PIONEER DVD NAV SO YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY A PIONEER CD CHANGER. THE BDVD IS IN THE PIONEER HEADUN8IT SO CD CHANGER CAN STAY IN PRESENT LOCATION.
  14. the site link to the lexus cd changer instaltion is carstreohelp.com. nice pictures.
  15. the antenna coax cable tap and fm transmitted are the same thing.arnt they? if there is a cd changer port on the back of the radio then the an adapter might work. i know the 98 to 2000 fujitsu made lx470 headunits didnt have a cd changer port but not sure of 2001 up ml units since they were made by pioneer. most lexus stereos have a propietary code that the headunit needs from an external source before it will accept the sound source. so far the aftermarket adaptor engineers(blitzsafe, peripheral , soundgate and pie) havent figured it out.
  16. hello, yes i have the custom made cd changer cable for lexus. they are 100.00 shipped. the cable is custom made from metal shielded wiring. i sell the whole system cd button radio, cd changer and cable at a reduced rate so you can make sure it wouldnt be cheaper to buy the whole system from me. my systems have 1 year warranty and 30 day full refund policy as does the cd changer if you buiy it seperately. i will send a paypal money request to your emaill address so you can use your credit card if you are interested in purchasing. heres my email address. i can send picture of the cable and system if you email me. also say which year and model it is for. emancy@woh.rr.com e gus mancy 853 sylvan shores dr south viewnna,oh 45369 937 568 4538
  17. nakamichi radio, nak subwoofer, nak sub amp with cd changer cable and cd changer system are all the parts you would need.. the 90 to 92 ls400 is the easiest plug in and play swap of any other lexus model. all the wiring is compatible between the pioneer system and the nakamichi system.. by regualar system do you mean a radio with a tape button only? do you have cd button on the radio faceplate? if not you will also need a custom cable to install the cd changer because the tape button only radio cars wqere not prewired at the factory for a cd changer. i will pm yopu on where to get the complete conversion kit including the cd changer cable. the instalation is entirely plug in and play and and does not require any power wire splicing. the only speaker that needs switching is the subwoofer and the sub amp. also a plug in and play operation.
  18. your gs is not prtewired so you will need a cd changer cable that the dealer will not sell you unless ypou buy the 1000.00 changer he has to sell you. i have the cable you need. i will pm you with details.
  19. yes i make the custom es 300 cd changer cable. it is 16 feet long and is a rwal cd changer cable with metal shielded wires. if you just tried to use reglar wires thwere would be electrical interference noise whiole cd playing. i will pm you with detals.
  20. yes you will need a 16 foot long cd changer cable. your car was not prewired if it came with a tape button only radio. i will pm you email address of custom maker of the es300 cd changer cable.
  21. lexus cd changers that model dont give error code numbers and they are mounted in the trunk not the glovebox so yours must be the rf modulated type. any rf modulated will replace it. if you dont have a cd button on the lexus radio you would have to switch radios to cd button type to be able to install a lexus factory cd changer. you would have to also run a cd changer cable because a lexus without a cd button on the radio were not prewired. it is doable to turn your system into factory cd changer system. it is all plug in and play with no wires to splice and no trapping into the electrical system.
  22. i sent you a pm with the solution. buy pioneer aftermarket magazines. they are exactly the same thing just say pioneer ionstead of lexus. they are third genration. the magazine loads on right end of changer and trays slide left.
  23. the other solution is to switch to the es300 cd changer made by pioneer. your present 12 disc is first generation panasonic changer. the es300 is 3rd genration pioneer and doesnt skip and plys cdrs well. pioneer invented the homeburner so all theior cd plyers play cdrs. the 92 to 96 es300 6 disc plays them well. i have pictures of the instaltion. email me at emancy@woh.rr.com
  24. no that doesnt seem to work. blitzsafe a company with electrical engineers galore have not been able to make it work right. they have made and sold adapters for the lexus and they all havnt worked. tom es300 on this board has spent 100' s of hours trying to get the blitzsafe adapter to work for an mp3 player and it keeps cutting out every 7.5 seconds. it seems the lexus cd changer port with its serial communication lines is not adaptable. if you want to give it a try i have one of the blitzsafe adapters you could experiment with. they made one for nakamichi system and one for non nakamichi. blitzsafe has made hundreds of adapters that work but the one for lexus doesnt.
  25. there is a reset button inside the door along the front edge.
