  1. Congrats on the new IS350. It should be plenty of power for you even considering the previous ride.
  2. Followup posting (3 weeks after service appointment) - Have not heard back from dealership, not that it's a big deal. Note: It was an automated response during on-line survey that indicated they would be in contact with me (probably regarding my reply of "fair" on the question regarding car wash). Sounds like nobody in service is following up.
  3. pic attached (F-sport exhaust on 07 IS350)
  4. Front end and rear end treatments would obviously be toned way down if put into production. But what was the purpose of this particular concept car? Is this supposed to hint at the new compact/smaller than RX SUV?
  5. Super donk rims on some of those.
  6. IS350 - $128 Mobil 1 synthetic at local Lexus dealership in August 2013. They also took care of 2 minor recalls. Car was returned to me fairly clean with full tank of gas.
  7. I think of dragsters when I hear funny cars.
  8. Snowplow is standard equipment, wowie.
  9. Seeing more of the new ISx50's on the street, pretty easy to spot in traffic.
  10. Thankfully, it will most likely never make it into production.
  11. Texus/Lexus or something like that. Hello and enjoy the Lexus.
  12. Interesting, with many of the familiar Lexus styling cues in an exaggerated form...
  13. Good idea, an education leading to strong career path is important. Especially for those of us that enjoy ownership of nice automobiles along with home ownership.
  14. Now that the new GS has been out for over a year, we can see the sales volume in US is up by a huge margin over the previous gen GS. Note: I don't find the ticking direct injection to be loud at all in my IS350 when seated inside the car. Mostly it's heard when standing outside of the car.
  15. So does that make it a total of 13 speakers with the "standard" Lexus stereo system in ISx50?
  16. Sounds like a good plan, let us know results later.
  17. Great post and reminder. Yes, I have my IS350 setup on the website, it's quite thorough regarding service done at Lexus dealership(s).
  18. Welcome Kristine. Sorry to hear about the problem with chrome rims, best to avoid most if not all chrome rims because of finish durability issues. If you have a high volume customer tire/wheel shop nearby, they often have access to "take-off" wheels or stock wheels and tires removed and replaced with custom wheels. Used wheels are fine if the shop is good. Given the age of car, I would not expect much help at Lexus dealership unless they have some used wheels. As far as tires in 17", I'd recommend Continental DWS (an all season tire), look them up on Tire Rack website for pricing and reviews.
  19. I was looking over a new white IS250 today in slow freeway traffic, it looked good even with the big grill. But my preference is still the darker exterior colors that make the big grill and all the fancy bumper cut lines blend in better.
  20. Hi Lex and, from where I'm sitting it's 8:40 am, and already 84'. It's been this way for about a week, with more to come. LOLNot sure I get your posting. Are you saying that the dealer said in their survey that you would be contacted to discuss why you rated the car wash experience at less than average or "Not Satisfied? Or are you wondering about their attitude, response to your one dissatisfaction. Most dealers will give the customer a free car wash, and some times an additional "Rain Check" for future use. Please do come back and tell us how things turned out!! Paul Yes, I think that was the only item that jumped out to them since I mentioned "fair" for the car wash. All other line items were very good to excellent. No concerns about their attitude, the customer service has been excellent from day 1. So we will see if the followup with me, since they said they would.
  21. I was at dealership for annual oil change (Mobil 1 synthetic as usual) on my 07 IS350. No problems. They did perform a couple of minor recalls (inside emergency trunk release and wiper bolt) which added about 1/2 hour to process. Free gas fillup was included but not mentioned. The next day I received the online survey regarding the service visit. I gave excellent marks to my Service Advisor (only use 1) who has consistently provided excellent service for 4 years straight. I gave "fair" rating for car wash and at end of survey it said they would contact me regarding this. So we will see.... (I'll report back later)
  22. I remain skeptical as to how much I would actually benefit dollar-wise (even being married, not young, 0 accidents, a 1 point moving violation, high credit score, no Vettes in garage). I'll pass, since my insurance company already has data on miles driven for each of my cars which impacts rates.
  23. Did you get a 350C? Ride height is same unless the dealer-installed F-Sport springs were installed (about 1" lower then).
