It's too bad you don't want to visit one of our Sponsors in the DFW Area. Yes it is far, but it might be worth it, if your Indie can't solve the problem.

BHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! :snoooorrrtttt:

you cant hold a grudge towards them, it's not like they actually cast the planetary gears in the tranny or mold the impeller for the fuel pump in-house. some bad parts from their suppliers slipped past inspections, QC can only check so much. I wouldn't say OEMs are supplying the manufacturer with a few bad products; Since the trannys and fuel pumps are new/significantly-changed it's still being tested. You're participating in the big system. Any news from Toyota Japan with the Celsior?

For a New owners Manual , contact Lexus. They'll be happy to send you one, w/o a fee attached. Tell them you just bought it without an ownermanual, and would also like to update ownership. They'll send you one. Engine Tranny oil should be checked when it is cold. Operating temp changes based upon driving conditions. running temp is between 110-160F. This is based upon a cool dry day, but should be at 180 on extremely warm days. Is there a reason why you want to know the operating temp.?

Take some pics using a digital camera, upload them into your computer. Convert them into JPEG or GIF, Save, go to our Website, Click on Gallery, click on LS400/LS430 Gallery, click on add pictures, browse for the JPEGs or GIFs, and so on.

It sounds like your sunroof has a loose screw or the rubber bushings need to be lubed up. Since your bringing your car to the dealer, have them check it out for you, just let them know that you have the rattle so that they can calculate that into the warranty repair.

F714909 Writes: "I suggest you visit your dealer as soon as you can. My 2004 Ls430 just died on the freeway last month, turn out fuel pump must be replaced. It's very danger the car just died while you are driving on the freeway. I think I am very lucky did not have car accident when it happened. check these reports: http://www.recall-warnings.com/auto-catego...LS430.2004.html http://autorepair.about.com/library/recall...ecalls-358a.htm My dealer insist there are no RECALL, just my car's fuel pump and transmission needs "UPGRADE"." Normally, Recalls are issued by the Feds. My guess is the manufacturer is doing a voluntary recall on its own. Do we know for a fact the manuf. is doing this on a broad scale or is it just in Cali?

Did you try asking MrSypher or Lextasy about it. I know it exists.

Because In Late November of 1994 is when the Chassis and Engine was redesigned for the 1995 model year (LS400). That's why you have an OBDII setup. You probably have a slightly stiffer chassis as well, just like on the LS. Good for you.

Ahh!, no, but I'd stay away from that loser. EDITED: Road Rage happens quite often over here, but the guys over here follow you into DC, and take shoot you in the head. I think it's a good practice to avoid a bad situation. I know I've seen slow drivers in the left lane, driving just above the speed limit. It's me off, and yes I've cut them off, passing on the right. Unfortunately, they're nothing I can do, but accepting the flaws of people, and moving on with my life.

From my knowledge, OBDII for our Lexus Cars started for the 1995 model year. It started the same month the chassis changed on the LS400. Blake: Can you tell me the Manufactured Date: Month and Year for your ES300 from your Door Panel? Travieso~13: Did you get your Speed sensor repair done through the Dealer or some other shop. It is possible the same shop can fix your Air Bag problem, if you take it back. If not, you're going to have to tell me what the shop told you about the Light coming on.

Oh yeah, Move to LA.

Well there's always the option of getting more sleep. Go to bed early and getting about 7-8hours of sleep. Yes, very hard to accomplish, but a sleep schedule usually works. My father once told me if you wear your body out, your body will naturally want to relax and sleep. I'm usually tired after a long day of working at a dealership and behind a computer. So i'm dead tired.

No. There's nothing major you should be concerned about. Is the Battery original, and WOW 26k on a 10year old car? It is possible the Tranny and Engine fluids are jello-like at the bottom of the pans. Otherwise, just follow the book and follow our forum.

Didn't quite catch it, but are you driving a 5sp or an Automatic? 5Speed sounds right, on the Auto it should be a little bit less since there's overdrive.

CJZen Writes: "In response to the tranny flush. I'm not an expert but a few years ago I did some research on this issue. It was recommended I do a 'flush' which means that the service outfit drains 'all your tranny fluid, including the torque converter. They do this by taking the copper line off the at the front of the car where it goes thru the radiator system that cools the fluid. They basically start the car; let all the fuid be pumped thru the line into a disposal tank. At the same time the copper tube that goes back to the tranny is fed new fluid. Visual inspection confirms that the job is complete when the fluid is pinkish clear. I paid about $90 then but suspect you can get it done for about that amount now. I think this is your best bet and would only do it every 50,000 miles under normal conditions. Obviously if you see dirty fluid you need a change but unless you do the 'real flush' you can change it every 10,000 and it will still look darker or dirty."

cjzen Writes: "My best guess is that the squeak is from a rubber bushing in your suspension system. It happens on most cars. There isn't much you can do other than try to isolate the specific area and get some inexpensive lubricant like a wd40. I think your automotive store like Auto Zone might have a better lubricant for rubber. Spray the lubricant around any suspension parts you see where there is a rubber bushing; that may stop the squeak. You may have to replace some of those bushings and the cost of labor is the killer. I suspect a Midas, or similar shop could do that job for you. As a general rule I'd say squeaks are not much of a problem, just a nuisance. cj" Cjzen: please read through the visitors and New Members Forum so that you don't Report a Post to us, unless it's absolutely necessary. Thanks ---------------------------- CJZen is correct. The Strut bushings are likely worn out. Do a search below for Bushing replacement. One of our members bought a set. Also, if you'd like, I can also get them from my source. Let me know if you want them. UCF3LOC@netscape.net

It changes colour? ^_^ :whistles:

Don't use WD40 on your moonroof rail to clean. Our dealership uses BG Products. I'd recommend the intake cleaner to clean your rails. It has the correct amount of lubricants and moisture to clean anything.
-
You don't have to change your Transmission fluid unless it's absolutely needed. The manufacturer recommends that you flush it, since the transmission is an essential item. It sounds like a good idea to me. :)

Peter Craig Writes: "I would like a copy of VB Denny's offer of a pdf file on changing a Lexus LS 400 tail light. How can I contact him. For whatever reason the e-mail links prohibit contact through the board. Help. Thank you" Peter: What year is your LS?

Last time I talked to the guys at TOM'S, their kit cost about $10,000 US. Blitz would be around $6-8k.

What's your states Maximum? Florida gets really HOT. I think FL's maximum is 5% or 20%. If you change addresses, I'd go with the darker one.
