Wait, is it the sunroof glass or the sunroof shade that rattles? I think if the rattle continues after you've dropped the back window, then you should take it back. The pressure issue has been addressed, but the rattle hasn't.

I don't believe so, but I'm not sure. I love the FX and my parents have one I've driven several times and I've driven them at dealerships and I didn't notice any hesitation either. If it DOES have an electronic throttle then its a much better system than the one currently being used by everyone else, so my guess its a throttle cable. The FX do not have electronically controlled throttle. It's using a 4 in 1 cable to control the throttle. I stand corrected. THe all the new Infiniti's have an electronically controlled throttle unit. The tech also tells me it's new technology, but it's one more thing to go bad quickly on these cars.

Kolofai writes: "Dantheman, good to know you have successfully installed the remote start for your 92 LS400. I believe there isn't much difference between 91 and 92. Would you mind to give a little more details of your remote start such as brand name or a brief description of how the wires are hook up. Looking forward to hearing from you. I am in Vancouver and I think I can get the same system you got in Quebec. So far I haven't got my problem solve yet."

According to Owner's manual, it menas some bulb is burned... but I checked and there is no burned bulb can be found. any ideas for what is being wrong? thanks!!!" Seattle_USA: Perhaps you didn't get the message I left for you regarding posting a reply to any thread. Your Replies are still being reported to me. If you have any questions contact me at UCF3LOC@netscape.net, just in case your Private Message service isn't working. The answer to your question is, replace all of your brake lights. There's a good chance one of the bulbs isn't seated correctly or isn't grounded properly. Thanks a lot in advance. UCF3 Moderator SC and LS Forums

Interesting. The guy who installed your tires, did he apply a tire seal by any chance?

Seattle_usa Writes: "i can get Alldata from public library for my 93 Lexus LS400 regarding EGR Pipe but I could not find any instruction or steps for how to replace EGR pipe. Is this"Alldata" same as alldatadiy.com ?" Seattle_USA: Please visit the Visitors and New Members Forum for information on how to use this forum. The answer to your question is yes. It's actually a publication, but AlldataDIY.com is an active database.

Sell it. Chances are the replacing the parts not including Labour it will be around $4k. I think the lower control arm, rotors, and the rack are all contributing to the shaking, but Rotors are my first pick.

It sounds like the bodyshop put the assembly in wrong. Did they replace the Light Housings or just fixed the previous ones?
-
There is a screw near the Headlight assembly and the level. Depress or release it and the level should adjust itself. I would recommend finding a level ground to work on, and a white wall to make sure the focus points aren't over-adjusted. You should also measure the beam height on the leveled one.

david_meusa Writes: "Hi, 92 LS400, same problem. Did you fix that problem?" Dave: I would image. Are you experiencing the same problem?

CECLARK6 Writes: Edited for Content I have this problem with my 1999 GS300. The car cranks up good. When I apply brakes the car shut off. The brake is depress they good to floor. The lights on radio goes out and comes back on. After car shut down it will crank back up with no problem. Please help me. Couple of things first. We don't usually type with the Caps Lock on. I'm not sure if you're trying to use the Quote feature, I'd ask you to Highlight the text, hit CTRL C and then CTRL V when you're ready to Paste. Two things come to mind. One is your battery isn't cranking the right amount of power. Also, it could be a short in the circuit. Have you ever used a Multimetre to test circuits? When you put it into Drive, does the car stall?

The motor is on the left.Unscrew the 3 screws that cover the gear. there is blue plastic gear wheel in there. If is's off ,take 2 washers ,place one in front of the gear and one behind it and that should do it.I found the washer at lowes for about 30 cents.Lexus wanted $800 for a new motor.Good luck." Well, getting the EGR Piping repaired will help your fuel economy and performanc of your motor. You may even feel the difference.
-
Are you referring to the Skidpad? The purpose of the skidpad is to protect your engine from splashes from your tires, and to prevent lower engine damage from driving on differnet surfaces. not absolutely necessary, but necessary.

You brakes sound like they're okay. You could check the colour of the brake fluid. If it's dark, change it. In most cases, the sponginess is due to tiny little bubbles in system(something you have no control over). As your brake fluid ages, the bubbles evacuate from the system. I have access to professional grade brake machines, and they're still not perfect. Your AC problem sounds like mine; I think it might be due to the age of the AC compressor and some cold air leaks along the vent ducts. Also, our engines have some miles on it, so it doesn't perform as well as it used to. Control arm: Without actually listening to the poping noises can't really tell. My SC is experiencing a loud continuous clicking noise when I make right left turns. After lifting the car up, my mechanic buddies and I discovered my right side wheel was not centered anymore. My mechanic buddy spotted a loose spindle. Chances are you may have a bad strut. The Rotor spinning noise is likely to happen due to that. have you looked underneath the car yet for the popping noise?

Hey Adrian: If you want, you're welcomed to swap your tranny and engine with mine I have an old proven engine/tranny/fuel pump, and I'll deal with the recall :) Don't worry about the recall. You have plenty of other things to think off.

I think the last time this subject was brought up was with a valve issue. Somebody talked about cleaning the valve cover. Can you tell me what it sounds like, timing off it and so on?

Any particular reason why you want a convertible?

Excellent choice. afaleti: Sorry, I just noticed your post on the Climate/Clock Thread. No, I didn't spend $0.00 rebuilding my climate control system. I originally thought United Radio would have been able to fix the problem, but no. I used Mikado to have it rebuilt. There is another source you could contact. Read through the rest of that thread and you'll notice an email address for Jim Walker. Try touching base with him. You can mention Lexusownersclub referred you to him. BTW: where in Maryland are you if you don't mind me asking?

Did you want to keep OEM Pads and rotors? You can also check with the Toyota Dealers( ie. Carson Toyota). If you OEM from Lexus, I have a set of pads and I can get you a set of Rotors.
-
If he shaved the rotors, I'd also ask him/her to bleed the brakes. It doesn't hurt to check out what kind of a device he/her is using to bleed your brakes.

Manual states 5w30. A lot of us use Mobil 1 Synthetic. If the guy didn't add oil is one thing, but if you find out that her car has a leak, that;s a different story. Look underneath the car for any leaks. Look near the block for oil spray.

DJmechel Writes: "The DVD is located in the trunk under the luggage cover. There is a removable door and behind is the nav dvd. move the sliding switch on the left side of the dvd player to the left and then press the button under the sliding switch ( with acc power on) the dvd should then eject. Place the new dvd into the slot and it will load. Be aware that after placing an upgraded dvd into the nav dvd unit, the old dvd will no longer work in the unit. Hope this helps."
