I was wondering if anyone have the experince of changing the deck only? if it's possible only change the deck and run it through the factory AMP? NOW i wanna change to a alpine Deck. but there still a new 04 Nakamichi deck available there, if the new Nakamichi will run through my sound sys? thanks" Kenaty: Please read through the Visitors and New Members Forum before posting. 4. I haven't come accross one on the forum in a long time. I had mine replaced. New York State Service guys charged me just under $1000 for it since it involved moving so many parts (Before DIYer days).
  5. Silver is always good, so is gold and black emeril. Has anybody tried attaching the black Emeril versions on a white car? Kind of interested in seeing some pictures.
  6. Sorry It took me such a long time to respond to your questions. The Kit that I have is a CrossDrilled/Slotted Wilwood set for the fronts and a crossdrilled for the rear. They are both manufactured using Wilwood parts, and are a 13" rotor setup. I had this company experiment and make me a complete kit including the master cylinder. Very Expensive-$2500 kit. Mine is for Gen 1, but it's possible they can make you one as well, or something that meets your needs. Wilwoods Website: http://wilwood.com/TJM/index.asp The company I used to make me the kit is: http://www.precisionbrakescompany.com/ They make Brake Kits and they have a huge selection for OEM Style and Racing style Brake Kits.
  7. The set looks like it's okay. Anybody interested in buying a set?
  8. It could be a number of things--ie all that's been mentioned so far. I might as well toss mine in as well. I also believe it's the strut tower bushing, or a bad shock in that corner. try to duplicate the problem at home by lifting the car and turning the steering wheel from one side to the other. See if it clicks. If it does, you've narrowed it down to the strut tower, and most likely the bushings connecting to strut tower and the rest of the car. These guys are on the right track.
  9. five times better. I have a complete set and they truely stop on a dime.
  10. $9k or a little less sounds like a good idea to me. Visually verify any colour blemishes and bodyshop detail. There are some people who don't know how to drive,a nd you're on the right track with the rest.
  11. can't tell you exactly what's wrong with the car, but it could be a bad ignitor coil, or a bad temp sensor. You should also check out if there are any codes. Have you tried jumping the car, and did the car start at all? Perhaps you could get the opinion from the Lex dealer. Sorry I can't help any further.
  12. Welcome to the club. First things first; visit our General FAQ and Audio Links Thread--pinned on our forum. There are links on what to improve on your 92 SC4--ie "Intellexual". The decision is yours to make, especially since it's your money. Regarding your question about exhausts, Cat-back is one of the best legal ways. The other option is a full custom exhaust set-up--2.5"s and above, best choices. Rear-end means only the muffler. Some retailer was selling a nice cat-back kit using Borla parts. I'm shying away from Borla since Japanese exhausts are available. Sound-wise the intake will do it's job, but after going through the FAQ thread you want to take another route, getting a better performing intakes will be your best choice.
  13. $71 sounds too good to be true. The Front bumper cover costs the dealer close to a Grand, and used in good condition shouldn't be that much off. Have you visually verified the part? The enblem are transferrable, and the grill should be the only concern, if it's not included.
  14. Probably in a junk yard or a junk yard company. Have you checked with any?
  15. It's too bad you don't want to ship the kits to us :cries:
  16. Welcome to the club Gary. Replacing the fuel pump and filter should be a priority, providing that's the problem.
  17. Wbb1772 Writes: "I have a 93 SC300. Bought it used. The seller had all the records from all dealer services. For my Major service and leaking water pump replacement I took it to a non dealer shop in Las Vegas. Since I am not paid to advertise I will not mention the name ;). They are a known Toyota/Lexus specialist and would recommend them. They did excellent work and I even had them do my timing belt just because I was past the 90K marker. They came highly recommended. If you do not want to go to a price hog dealer then seek out a private shope and ask for refernces and call the BBB in you state. I was lucky and found a good shop. Just my observation in my city" Wbb1772: Please read through the Visitors and New Members Forum to get a better understanding on how to use our Forum. Thanks UCF3 Moderator SC and LS Forums
  18. You could check with Summitracing.com. They may have the eyebrows you're looking for.
  19. have you tried talking to Jim Walker? There's a good chance he'll be able to help you with that as well.
  20. Fatman: Please don't use all CAPS since it's used to yell at people. Thanks ----------- I'd go with the 17s, unless you're going to upgrade your brakes to something a little better. Then go 18's.
  21. No. You can go anywhere.
  22. Why do you want to keep the old one? If I were you, I'd replace the existing tint, and re-install it. This way it will be new, not faded, and matching. I'd also check with the Texas DMV or DPS and find out what the legal limit is, since Maryland has a 35% limit. You should have something lower than that, like a 20% or maybe even 5% :D Good luck.
  23. I think the ones being sold on Ebay are okay, but will wear as fast as your OEMs. 445187 : What's your budget when Big Brake Packages? Your welcomed to contact the guys who made my Wilwood Package. The fronts were $1500 instead of the $2k.
  24. Congrats on the performance of your cars. Same here. My father owned my LS before me, and he performed general maintenance to the letter. When I picked up the car with 132k on it(Currrently at 192k) the car was purring, but now it's showing wear&tear. I still love it though.
  25. What does that mean?!?!?!??!?!?!?!? What exactly is going on with your Internet Connection?
