i read about someone's post similar to yours and it's been said that aftermarket cd changers used with a modulator dont sound too great with the factory unit. you can check ebay for factory pioneer cd changer which usually goes for around $300. or you have a car audio shop install an aftermarket head unit and custom face plate but thats going to cost a lot of money. skperformance is selling a face plate which can be seen in the buy/sell forum. and i can tell you from experience that stores like best buy and circuit city may advertise free installation but wont even go near an es300. <_<

how about trd carbon metallic brake pads? my brake pads need to be replaced soon.

everytime i turn the steering. its makes a weird wailing noise. maybe there's something rubbing between the wheel and the steering column?

i know for sure is300s w/ a manual can drift (must have lsd too, dunno if those come standard) :D u can dl japanese altezza drift videos from kazaa or look for sites in yahoo.

i checked around for lowering springs and 1in drop eibach springs all around plus labor is around $450 for 97-up. supposedly, the 1 in drop dramatically improves handling with the drop barely noticeable

hi welcome to the club! :D with that kind of mileage, its very wise to get a warranty! its not only on board computers to worry about, there's engine mount, struts, springs, transmission... im not sure about your question about the onboard computer but there are many members in LOC willing to help you out. anyways, welcome again and enjoy your lexus!

i especially like that lexus commercial where the girl is told she got a cd player for christmas but it also happens to be a cd player inside of an is300 wrapped in a ribbon... :(

i think this topic has been mentioned way back but i try using the search button option but for some reason it just ends up showing the most recent posts :o anyways, i open that cover thats inside the center console and i dont seem to notice anything stuck. i hope nothing is broken since its costly to replace anything for a lexus (unless u get lucky in ebay :D )

i got bored so i tried accelerating hard off the line in L. i was surprised the tach went in the red area. so with my foot still flooring the pedal i switch to 2 and continue to accelerate until i have to slow down for a stop light. they say its bad doin this and some kid told me one time u can drive a auto like a manual but "u gotta know what you're doin." im just curious as to what what causes the strain in the transmission when shifting into L and 2. my guess is the engine breaking when u start releasing the gas. are lexus cars so reliable that u can get away with this shifting? :snoooorrrtttt:

hey john, i just replaced the bulbs on my 98 myself just a few days ago here's the link for the instructions on how to change the bulbs http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/show....t/ST/f/7/t/3380 a pair of amber turn signal bulbs type 1157na go for $5 at most local automotive shops. the clear bulbs go for 2.49 if u feel those will suffice. id go with a trusted brand name like philips or slyvannia, autozone carries wagner and i was reluctant to go with that brand. <_<
