  1. nice! just wondering... did u change the bulb for the needles? i see a little color in them. i wonder what my instrument cluster would look like in blue
  2. i want the wise sports body kit but its only sold in japan <_< i could go to this shop i know that specializes in importing jdm parts but for an es300... its a stretch. anyone here living in japan that can physically go to the shop and buy one???
  3. the plastic pin/screws that hold the shroud are pretty trick! i know sylvannia makes silverstar high beams but not the low beams. the low beams should be coming out sometime this fall. i have cool blues for both and they're way better than standard ones! ive been doing a litte research on bulbs a while ago and high performace bubs from sylvannia and piaa last on average about 2 yrs. i was going to shell out the big bucks for the piaa xtreme whites but since they only last 2 yrs, i figured it wasnt worth it.
  4. my left front turn signal is blinking really fast and i think the bulb is burnt out. i was wondering what type bulb im suppose to get and how much i should pay for one.
  5. yep i was driving my es down northern blvd in flushing queens at around 7 :D
  6. hmmm lets see... mod suggestions. trd supercharger, custom bulge on hood to accomadate surpercharger, camry 5 spd manual tranny, coil overs, 18in volk chrome rims, wise sports body kit from japan, custom cold air intake, exhuast w/ 3in downpipe, stand-alone ecu, nitrous?
  7. i have a 98 so here's what i can say about it.. u can feel the torque steer even under normal driving and the steering is somewhat soft. the magazines claim 0-60 in over 8 sec but that's bs... most likely mid to high 7s. floor the gas while crusing at 60 and you'll hit 90 a couple of seconds later. the 60-90 acceleration is so good, i got ahead of a wrx just this evening yup, and that was on a slight curve and yea that wrx was trying!
  8. frames are cool, that's why i still have them on my car i'll take them off when i get pulled over.
  9. damn! in nyc... its ILLEGAL to have licence plate frames! yep, its one of those ridiculous violations bloomberg has come up with... its up there with getting pulled over for a rolling stop and getting a ticket sitting on the stairwell in the subway station ;)
  10. i agree with alan, spoiler does help to judge the backend of the car. for me, this is very useful in parallel parking. spoilers supposedly lower the coefficient of drag and provide downforce. them porsches have that automatic lip spoiler that rises up at 70 or something to make the car more stable. to what extent a spoiler can do for a es300's performance is questionable or non-existent but its something to install if u want to individualize your car. :)
  11. i know that any spoiler installed by lexus is aftermarket since lexus doesnt make spoilers. i've seen lexus cars at lexus dealerships with all different styles of spoilers; two styles for the 2nd gen es300. i doubt that a carbon fiber spoiler on an es300 would add value to the car despite costing a lot of money. do factory style spoilers add value to the car?
  12. oh btw, how difficult would it be to custom fit lets say an aftermarket bumper for an accord on a 2nd gen es300?
  13. wow those tires look beefy! what size are they? ground clearance is a little high imo, need at least 1in drop. but overall, i like the look... props! :D
  14. i got the bone stock es too! :D 98 ES300 welcome to the club!
  15. i like the overall look of the car with the rims and tint but... if it were my car (and i have a similar one) id paint the the cladding and bumper like that light greyish titanium color on the 2001 platinum edition. the sideskirts look a little off, i dont know how that problem could be solved but its something id try to work on. spoiler would help too, not too high though. the rear of the es300 imo is the weakest styling cue of the car... its all rectangles and straight lines. a spoiler and 2001 tailights would definitely alleviate this and freshen the look. :D
  16. i want my car to look like this! 2001 pearl white es my bumper has two cracks on it and i was wondering if the 2001 bumper will fit my 98.
  17. i like the blux onyx with black leather... looks youthful and doesnt get dirty quickly it would look even nicer with the spoiler!
  18. is it street legal if the blinkers emit a blue glow? traditional blikers are orange, does it have to be like that?
  19. exxon 93 octane @ $1.89 9/10th per gallon
  20. the paint used on an es300 is 3 layers by dupont or some other brand (very expensive) i have deep scratches on my car and touch-up paint just wont do. ;) i had the top pieces of my front and rear bumper painted for $200!!! id like to have more areas repainted but its just too costly and i live in queens, ny so scratches are almost impossible to avoid.
  21. you can ask the owner of the car, he's somewhere there in cardomain.
