  1. I glanced at it at my dealers back lot where they keep cars that just arrived, and haven't yet been prepped. The only noticeable exterior features were the extra badges on the sides, and the newer spoked rims. The interior was basically the same as the UL Edition, with the upgraded leather. I don't think the one I saw had all the options that I have on my UL, but that remains to be seen if the packages for the Pebble Beach models will allow an upgrade for the ML sound.
  2. Seems to be a contradiction here?? You said in your 1st. post, But in your 2nd. post you said, Why would you want a RWD than??? Why don't you spend a little time and read the full tests here> http://www.popularmechanics.com/automotive...rs/1266931.html
  3. This was taken from an article in Popular Mechanics magazine that did extensive testing and comparisons between FWD and RWD cars. So you see, the with all the sophisticated traction and stability controls that Lexus uses, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference. IMO ;)
  4. The main reason I bought the UL was because it was the only package that had the ML sound system. Of course, this model came loaded with almost every option that Lexus offered, except for the radar cruise. If I wanted that feature, I would have to special order it, and that would have delayed my enjoyment of this auto for about 3 months.
  5. Of course it won't work with that attitude! With a little bit of effort, maybe it'll help. What do you have to lose, except a little bit of your precious time. ;)
  6. THIS IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' GAS FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN GET GAS BACK DOWN TO $1.30 PER GALLON. This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy gas on a certain day' campaign that was going around last April or May! It's worth your consideration. Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $ 4.00 a gallon by next summer, and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to 'hurt' ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea has come up with a plan that can really work. Please read on and join with us! By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $2.00 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently $3.19 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace..not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war. Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) ... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x10 = 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all! (If you don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a mathematician. But I am . so trust me on this one. How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days !!! I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you! Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $2.00 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK.
  7. Definitely!
  8. Yes.......and it's 75 years old. LOL
  9. Here's a picture of my baby. :D
  10. I bought the first UL in April '06 that was delivered on the east coast. It has every option except for the radar/adaptive cruise control. Picture of my car on the bottom of this post. This car is a dream.
  11. False, it's not standard....it's an option as it's always been.
  12. IT'S NOT......as I said in my above post!!! :chairshot:
  13. The panoramic sunroof on your UL is NOT controlled by the button on your remote. There are NO personality settings that can change how this operates.
  14. Sorry to say, Matthew hasn't been around LOC for many a moon. Happy Birthday anyway. :) Last Seen: 1st June 2006 - 11:18 AM
  15. Check out the bypass switch in your glove compartment.
  16. From my understanding: 1- All ES350's, '07-'08 came from the factory with Gen 5 DVD's. Depending on the date of manufacture, you got either a 5.1 or 6.1 DVD disc. 2- A hybrid disc was offered to correct problems for owners that had problems under a Lexus TSB that was issued to dealers ONLY. They were never issued as replacements to upgrade the mapping. 3- The newest map DVD's for all ES350's is a, Gen5, 7.1, U32. 4- 7.1 mapping(newest) DVD's are supplied for different generation navigation systems......so make sure you get the proper disc for your model car. Example: A Gen5 disc will only work in a Gen5 system, and a Gen4 will only work in a Gen4 system.......and so on....and on. Here is an illustration from an '07 ES350 Owners Manual that show's the procedure for removing/installing the DVD.
  17. Did you try adjusting the belt tension? Generally, that's the first thing to check when you develop a squeek. ;)
  18. You can order the proper oil filter tool from your Lexus parts dealer, but I've seen some aftermarket tools that'll also do the job, and much cheaper.
  19. I love my hooks.
  20. This will give you a good idea where the Nav DVD is located.
  21. Yes, the part is still manufactured for the '99ES, but you have to special order it directly from your Lexus parts dealer, unless per chance that they have it in stock.
  22. I resized your photo to 150 pixels wide @72DPI. Right click this picture and "Save picture as" whatever you want to name it. Than upload the picture to the LOC website. Hopefully that'll work. :) P.S. I assumed that you're using a PC, and if you are, I would delete the "Temporary Files" in your computer before attempting this change.
  23. Exactly!
  24. This has been bugging me for quite awhile! This concerns owners of Lexuses that are equipped with Navigation & Bluetooth. Situation: You have the Navigation programmed to give you a destination. You're driving along, and the sweet sounding voice on the Nav is giving directions, but if you get a phone call thru the bluetooth system you no longer get voice driving directions while you're talking on your cellphone!! There is a button on the Nav screen that let's you transfer calls directly to the cellphone, but it's grayed out while the car is moving. I tried switching my cellphone to pick up this call directly, but it drops the call. Has anybody had this experience, and if so, is there a work around?
  25. Sorry to tell you, Navsafe hasn't been on LOC's website since, November 7th 2007 - 10:47 AM
