  1. The only place to get something like this is from an auto wrecker. The problem with getting seat heater components is because seat heaters were not a standard item. Good luck.

  3. If you noticed, both "new" members, "berfa" and "trita33" are one and the same person! Same IP address. Check my link in the above post and click on the link and you'll see that he/she has identical postings, using different screen names. What this amounts to is SPAM!!
  4. Your description is exactly the reason I first complained about this transmission. Yes, my car had this problem from the first day I drove it out of the showroom, and continued for about 3 years. I had EVERY TSB re-flash done which didn't help at all, and that determined why I finally traded this car for the ES350. If I recall, the total mileage on the odometer was about 16K miles. P.S.   7. Nothing wrong......that's the way they operate in the ES350's also.
  8. Any kind of electronic or mechanical modification can conceivably void your warranty. That's a fact!
  9. Now that that's fixed, it's time for you to go to Radio Shack and pick up an inexpensive voltmeter. It could have saved you the aggravation of wondering where the problem was. :D
  10. OK.....Did you check your battery cables and terminal ends?
  11. First things first: 1- Check the battery voltage when the engine is off. Should read approximately 12.6 volts. 2- Check the battery voltage with the engine running. Should read approximately 14.4 volts at idle. 3- If you get these approximate voltages than you have to get the battery "load tested". 4- Make sure the battery terminals are clean & tight. These are the first tests you should perform before you look further.

  13. The idle speed is determined by the ECM, so there is NO fast idle speed adjustment. There are many factors involved, such as coolant temperature, ambient air temperature, etc. Naturally, the warmer the outside air is, the quicker the idle speed will drop.
  14. I have tried almost all brands of replacement blades, and none compared to the Lexus OEM replacements blades. This test was done on all the ES's I've owned since 1991('91 ES250, '94 ES300, '03 ES300, '07 ES350). ;)

  16. Can somebody please help me. I have a 06 GS and went and purchased a BT phone through Verizon (was already in contract with them) and got the Samsung Gleam. Checked the lexusletstalk.com website, and this was compartible. The phone's hooked up and works, except I can't even figure how to manually enter a numbe in the phone book. I get the piece where the menu says transfer phone book, but it wants me to do something from the phone that Verizon or I can't figure out. At least, just telling me how to manuually enter a number is the phone book would be so greatly appreciated. To anyone who can help, thanks so much!! Maybe this chart will help.   17. Check to make sure that the bypass switch in the glove compartment is in the active position. :)
  18. I guess I'm one of the "very few", mainly because it's easier to just put in the cassette, rather than converting everything to a CDr.
  19. I would say the '01 FSM, since it's more current to the type of A/C units that's used in an '03 ES300. Even better would be a manual for an '02 ES300, since this was the first year of the new generation ES's that went from '02 thru '06.

I agree with what mburnickas said, mainly because a ride around the block is not sufficient to heat up the oil enough to burn out the blow-by gases that degrade the oil, and also to dry out the excess moisture that forms in the exhaust system. Now, if you said to take a much longer ride, like 10 miles or more, then I agree. P.S. It takes a mighty long time for the cars generating system to bring a low battery up to full charge.......more like hours of driving. ;)

  22. Aside from the newest mapping, there's a change in the firmware. You no longer have to push the "I Agree" button when you first turn on the Nav. You just get a "Caution" screen for about 5 seconds, and then the map comes up on the display.
  23. You should because you also get pretty leather luggage. LOL
