  1. OEM, OEM, OEM! :)
  2. They certainly have.....I picked mine up from my dealer last week! The GS mats don't fit properly.
  3. Make sure your moonroof is closed properly. :)
  4. Did you set the seat memory? Once you set the seat and mirrors memory this shouldn't happen again. Look in your owners manual to see the proper procedure.
  5. To put an OEM NAV system in a car that came without this feature originally is NOT advisable, due to the fact that it would require extensive rewiring, ie: new wiring harnesses, new dashboard, etc. A super expensive modification! As said in the FAQ section on the Lexus.com website: A portable GPS unit would be your best bet. :)
  6. That can be done by using a digital-to-analog converter (DAC or D-to-A).
  7. Your Lexus tech misinformed you.....the engines used in ES350's DON"T use direct fuel injection!
  8. Send a PM to 'Steve'......he should be able to do what you want.
  9. Send a PM to 'Steve'......he should be able to do what you want.
  10. Get to the "setup" screen, and scroll down until you see, "Time Zone", than click "change".
  11. Garmin has free downloads to upgrade the operation of their units.......but when it comes to upgrade the mapping software it'll cost you about $135.00!
  12. The 2000 ES300 uses a timing belt. The belt should be changed at 90K miles, and they usually change the water pump also, at this time, since it's in the same area of the belt, and the part is not too expensive. Generally, this is recommended. BTW: Lexus engines always used timing belts until 2007, when they changed to timing chains.
  13. I'm guessing, but the CCFL backlights that are used now have different color spectrum phosphors then was used in earlier displays, hence the whiter color.
  14. The promo code is no more......it expired January 1st. 2008. :whistles:
  15. He has a beautiful 2003 ES300. :)
  16. I saw on eBay a guy selling the upgrade DVD disc for the Gen 5 Nav systems. Are they bogus or has anybody else tried them.........they cost about ¼ the price of the DVD's that are sold by Lexus parts?
  17. I was told that the nav screens on '07-'08 models of Lexus cars uses CCFL backlights....NOT LED's.
  18. Show me where! I can't find it! I assume you're talking about the ES350? :whistles:
  19. Ohh.....I love the car, but I wish it had a bigger glove compartment.
  20. I tried using the strap on a couple of occasions, but it ended up that I still had to keep the manuals in the trunk. It seems that this will only work for people who have Premium/Premium Plus Editions. If you have the Ultra Luxury Edition, there are a few more manuals that make it too thick for the elastic band to hold the added weight, especially when they're in the Leather jacket. Believe me, I sure would have liked to use this option. :cries:
  21. Once you get the tire fixed/replaced, and inflate them all to the same PSI, and then press the calibration button the warning light will go off. The system looks at 5 wheels, and at the moment it doesn't like what it sees. :D
  22. That's exactly what I did..........look at my above post.
  23. I just did the tire calibration as per Navigation Manual, but I didn't drive the car yet......too cold! LOL I'll report back to see if that helped.
  24. I just recently purchased a 2001 LS 430 (79K miles) and came across the forum when doing some searches for accessories. I have read through many of the posts and I am really excited about the amount of mileage some of these cars are racking up. Makes me feel like my car isn't even broken in yet. The dealer is fixing some things up for me before I accept delivery, hopefully Friday. Welcome to the club, and good luck with your new purchase. Post some pictures so we can all drool :)
  25. Yes, but you have to register your car here: https://auth.owners.lexus.com/lexusowners/a...2fssl%2fWelcome
