  4. Well it seems that the consensus among the moderators/administrators, is to give a link to the Lexus Corporations website so individuals can look up their Owners Manual there. The main reason for this is because it's a pretty massive undertaking to d/l all the .pdf files for all the years and models of Lexus cars. bartkat was nice enough to do it for certain IS models, but it takes alot of time which most people don't want to devote to this undertaking. We will appreciate it if any members feel like doing it, and after it's done we'll make a sticky for all to see. Sorry, and I hope you understand. Alan
  5. Too late Dens...........the cake is all gone. LOL

  7. OK. I understand that, I couldn't find the "exact" verbiage for the ES 350. Do you by chance have it? Can you post it here?
  8. Ohh, I don't think so! Check out these links: http://www.jdpower.com/autos/Buick/Lucerne/2008/Sedan/ http://www.jdpower.com/autos/Lexus/ES/2008/Sedan/
  9. Are you serious!! <_<
  10. You can use 87 octane fuel without any problems. This was taken right out of the Owners Handbook
  11. A little trick that I've been using for years is to loosen the lug bolts/nuts slightly, and then rock the car back and forth a few times, then jack up the car. This method has never failed to break loose the frozen hub/wheel.
  12. Shown below is a list of Lexus models shown with the generation of navigation technology equipped in each. 16. The latest Navigation DVD for the ES350's is: Version.(7.1), Generation 5, U32 Some examples of compatible vehicles: Lexus: '07-'08 ES350, '07-'08 GS350/430/460/460h, '07-'08 RX350/400h, '07-'08 GX470, '06-'08 IS250/350 This DVD will fit most '07-'08 Toyota models, with the exception of the Toyota Avalon model. I hope this clarifies things a bit. :)
  17. have your ECU checked for the version.......it sounds like you have the most recent version. steviej I'm sure you guys that had the final flash version noticed that the 1-2 upshift, and the 2-3 upshift happened at a much higher RPM/speed. That's the main reason that I didn't like this flash, aside from the fact that I didn't notice any improvement in the characteristics of the transmission. I was totally unhappy and frustrated with this car in this respect, but otherwise I loved it. The straw that broke the camels back was when I was driving back from a wedding I attended. The traffic was stop and go for many miles, and everytime I slowed down and then tried to accelerate, I would get the hard jerk/jolt, no matter how careful I was when pressing the accelerator pedal. My passengers even questioned why this was happening, including an 8 year old girl passenger who asked, "Is there something wrong with your car". I was a limo driver years ago and I learned the proper essentials when transporting passengers, to avoid hard braking, smooth acceleration, and take turns at a reasonable speed, so the passengers had the most comfortable ride possible. I found it near impossible with my ES's setup! I'm sure that steviej's '06 GS eliminated this problem, as it has done on my '07 ES.
  18. This problem has nothing whatsoever to do with fluids! ;)
  19. I suggest that you DON'T do the flash, since once you do, you can't go back if you don't like it! I did, and it was the sorriest thing I ever did. It caused me to trade in my very low mileage, mint '03ES, because I hated the shift pattern afterwards. The re-flash will NOT eliminate your problem.
  20. That's why they call me the Internet Detective. heeheehee
