  1. Take the space out between the RX and 400H so it looks like this: 2009 RX400H
  2. Body side moldings have been around for many, many years, so when I first saw the newer cars with the slab look, I felt that this was the new direction that auto manufacturers were taking, I started to like it and still do more so every day. I originally was going to have them put on my ES350, but at this point I'm glad I didn't. That's my personal opinion.
  3. Actually, the only all weather mat that was recalled was on the drivers side. This new mat is cut slightly differently than the old mat to prevent the possibility of it getting caught under the accelerator pedal and cause runaway acceleration. Personally, I used these mats on top of the carpeted which wasn't advised by the Lexus Corporation, but in over 1¾ years these mats never shifted, even though they weren't held in place by the clips. I NEVER had any problems with the original setup!!!
  4. Due to safety constraints, this feature is not available on Lexus vehicles.
  5. No problems with mine. Just a freaky mechanical breakdown which can be fixed under your warranty.
  6. I received a postcard in the mail from Lexus Headquarters that says: "A new map update is now available for your Lexus. Visit your Lexus dealer to get your map update today for only $265(MSRP)." I'll have to give them a call, because when I went to the parts counter last month they told me that the price was $365. Of course, if Lexus installs this disc there's a service charge, but I'll do it myself, since it's a very simple installation. ;)
  7. Since you mentioned that the oil level doesn't drop too much, I wouldn't worry about it at this point. This problem is fairly common due to the valve cover gaskets drying up. I suggest you check the oil level at each gasoline fill up though. Do you smell burning oil in the car, or when you open the hood? If not, then the leak is very small.
  8. Personalizing of these features is not the same on all years and models.
  9. The GPS receiver should turn on automatically after you press the "I Agree" button. I would take the car to your Lexus dealer to have this problem checked out.
  10. The price for the newest update DVD is $299.00 The rebate that Sewell offered is no longer in effect. http://www.lexus-parts.com/import/nav_rebate_2007.pdf
  11. You can't get that information on a commercially recorded CD, but if you burn this CD, and convert it to an MP3 format all this information will be displayed......assuming that the player in your car can play MP3's.
  12. The only way you can update your nav with the most current information is to buy the 7.1 nav disc from Lexus. I don't suggest buying a bootleg disc that are sold on some of the auction websites.....they could possibly screw up your system.
  13. Good luck with the new car. I recently rented a Camry SE from Hertz and I put on about 1500 miles, and I enjoyed every minute driving this nice machine. It came with the 4 cylinder engine, with all the equipment that you got on yours. It was fast, economical, and had plenty of power. I was surprised that Hertz had the SE for rental, since they generally had the LE models. Did you get the 4 or 6 cylinder engine in your car?
  14. This comprehensive article spells it out completely. http://www.autoglassmagazine.net/articles.php?id=218
  15. Welcome to the club, and good luck with your new car. The tire pressure warning light is on the dashboard display.
  16. Cheap is cheap, and that's why I totally agree with SW03ES.......only replace a windshield with an OEM Lexus part! P.S. I was told this by an honest auto glass company who chose not to replace my Lexus windshield unless I would pay for the OEM part. He told me that he had too many problems with aftermarket replacements.

  18. Maybe. I bought an '07 ES350 the first week in May, 2006 with a build date of 4/2006 and the Navigation disc was 5.1 I guess it all depends on the date the car left the factory. There's the possibility that early build '08's came with 6.1 discs.
  19. You're posting your question in the wrong forum. This forum is for '07-'08 ES350's
