  1. I did a search of our data base but I still can't find the Beautiful Topless Girl.??? Maybe I should look for, "Get out of my Car and into my life" (Not sure that's the right title). Gee, aren't I an old !Removed!.
  2. Those are good questions. I can tell you that once you passed the 4yr. 40,000 miles, your dash lost it's warranty. My best suggestion is to go to the top of the page and look for post on you questions. Also, send a note to DCfish who has parts and advice. Let us know how things are going. Paul
  3. Hi Vance and welcome. The scratch can definitely cause a problem when you consider the Nav display is "sandwich" layered in such a way that each piece is microscopic thin. Another item you didn't mention is whether the radio or CD work/play. If that's so I'd look for a fuse under the hood on top of the drivers fender, and/also, The fuse box under the drivers side floor well up around the parking break. Paul
  4. Don't overlook your tires. Just a small difference in pressures can hurt the ride. The biggest problem I had was running Continentals, Low Profile. They rode like a lumber wagon and when the side wall on one of the front tires got a rupture about the size of you hand. Many of our members use Michelin Primacy for the smooth and quiet ride on the ES 350. However, one tire that works on a certain Lexus model may not hold true with another. Paul
  5. So far, Lexus seems to have second thoughts about producing a Hybred. I'm not spending to much time worrying about it. I'm more concerned about getting used to the Whale mouth looking front end. LOL Paul https://lexusenthusiast.com/2015/09/22/no-current-plans-for-lexus-rx-plug-in-hybrid/
  6. Hey there!! Good to hear from you Billy. Paul
  7. Let us know what you find out..... Paul
  8. Hi Ukrkoz, I'm not an expert on just about anything, but I think you may be on the right track. As you know, the fuel pump is mounted in the gas tank where the gasoline keeps the pump cooled. I have heard of other members hearing sounds when the pump is going out. In my opinion, your concern about having the battery run down is valid. A few years ago, I left the over head dome light on over night and in the morning the battery was dead as a door nail. I could not believe that a tiny light bulb could drain a powerful battery. Paul (My wife has 30 years as a RN. I know how you feel.)
  9. Hi folks. I'm obviously way behind on this posting, but I wanted to just make a point regarding the cabin fan noise. I used to have a 2007 S80 Volvo. It had the heat/cool front seats (which are becoming almost standard equipment on many USA models. ) The cool setting brought on a whooshing sound of air blowing. The seats when set on cool, could actually get so cold you'd want to turn on the heat function to warm up! When sitting in the drivers seat, while turning your head to the rear or front portions of the cabin, it would sound like it was coming from the rear when turning your head to the left, and in the front passenger seat if no one is sitting in it. Our current two Lexus have the heat/cool feature, but the cool function is worthless. Every Lexus I've owned has had the worst front seat cool feature and none of them helped at all. I have had some of the cars in for diagnosis, but they always come back with the "functioning to specifications." Paul
  10. Check out the response to "Consumer Reports" trashing of the NX for 2015. Posted in our General Chat forum... Please write your own thoughts about this topic. Paul
  11. This is a response to "Consumer Reports" trash of the Lexus NX. Very good flashback to CR. Please write your own thoughts. Paul https://lexusenthusiast.com/forums/threads/the-nx-is-one-of-the-worst-cars-in-2015-consumer-reports-is-crazy.993/
  12. Consumer Reports rates the 5 worst model cars in 2015. Incredible as it seems, the Lexus NX is one of the 5. What's your opinion? http://www.autoblog.com/photos/consumer-reports-worst-cars-of-2015/?icid=maing-gr
  13. Neat idea, but as usual, US regulations are limping along. https://mail.aol.com/webmail-std/en-us/suite
  14. I use my Enform on a regular basis. Just this week I was in a part of the city that was new to me and I got all turned around and could not find the business I wanted. You just click on destination help and a friendly person comes on and ask to help you. I told the rep that I was looking for a business but I did not have the phone number for directions and I needed them to download the directions to my Navigation application. Within 20 seconds the business was verified, the navigation route was downloaded and the rep asked if there was anything else I needed. I also use the weather application and SOS for a tow or accident locator. Paul
  15. Hi Sara, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. Hopefully other members will chime in with a workable suggestion. Keep us informed of what your able to do. Paul
  16. One more option would be to use an upholstery shop. They could remove the seats and take off the leather and NuLux coverings, and re- pad the seat frame and springs with more comfortable padding. Or, a auto detail shop might be able to do the same thing. Just some ideas. Paul
  17. If you choose, Go to "Toyota Information Service". This is Toyota's site for all things technical about Lexus, Scion, and Toyota. Try TIS.com. You have to register and the use of the site is $15.00 for two days use. There is everything here from wiring, specifications, how-to and much more. Paul
  18. The most frequent place I've found is for the antenna mounted just below the bottom of the wind shield, then run along the space just under the space where the hood starts to form a upward bend at the very bottom of the windshields placement. The antenna for all practical purposes, should not move at all, but stranger things have happened. For example. Here in Iowa we frequently have snow which gets under the windshield wipers and people go at it with a big scraper which ruins the wiper blade and the owner will take his scraper and jam it all the way down under the wiper mount and fire wall top. This ruins more parts than you can imagine. I hope I've been able to give you a road map to follow but if I have written plain gibberish let me know. Paul
  19. Nothings ever easy lol. Our 2013 RX has the most uncomfortable seats for me. They seem stiff, do not flex when going over bumps, and the back of the seat is also too stiff. Our 2013 ES has great seats. They stay comfortable no matter how far you drive. At this point, I would find out if an older model seat might be more comfortable and would it fit in your front seat mount. You can go online and find several recycle yards, ( scrap yard) and after market products that might work. A good place to start is Ebay.
  20. I would check the antenna position and connectivity.
  21. https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfoPortal/appmanager/t3/ti Sorry Craig. This new link works for sure. Let me know if you are still having trouble. Paul
  22. Hi Jw1330 and welcome. Unfortunately, this has and continues to be a problem. The problem exist not with your CD player but the CD itself. If you'll do a search on our data base you should find several postings about the problem. When the maker of the CD itself puts the contents onto the disc, they simply don't put that information on the disk. Because of this crazy system, even your apple products will not show the information. The explanation I've received says the manufacturer uses that space to burn another song onto the disc thereby charging for another tune. However, you may run across a new disc that does put the info on. This will not however fix the problem. Let us know if you need something more
  23. A good place to look is Toyota's Information System, Complete tech knowledge on Lexus, Toyota, and Scion. Look at TIS.com Paul
  24. Hi Sarah and welcome. Seat adjustment is truly a matter of taste. Over the years members have commented on just about any seat position you could possibly imagine. All of them said either it was heaven while the other half thought it was the worst pain ever. You didn't mention what your previous Lexus model and year were. Lexus has definitely made changes in the seat padding, covering materials and the number of seat positions available to be set by the owner for the best comfort. I have a 2013 ES 350, and a 2013 RX 350. Both cars come with the 10 plus seating options and should be in your owner's manual. The tiny holes in the seat covering are for sending cool air through them or warm air. There for, if you place a cushion on the seat it will stop this function. For my wife and I, the Lumbar support adjusting button makes a world of difference. (in some model years, the passenger seat did not have the Lumbar feature.) Owners of the 2013 and 2014 ES models complained about the ride and road noise. Lexus had changed the configuration of those system, thinking customers would like a sporty, firm ride. Wrong! You can buy new seats, but that would not help since they would be the same as yours now. Paul
  25. I am impressed! It seems like that's the favorite car for many of the Bond films.
