  1. In depth explanation of the hobgoblin thing called Gasoline and Crude. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/08/27/why-gas-is-too-cheap-and-yet-still-so-expensive/ Paul
  2. Here is the Trailer for the new James Bond film. It shows a car with sports car shapes, but it has only the head lights on for identification. Can anyone identify that car in the film? I don't know....... Paul http://www.vulture.com/2015/03/watch-spectre-trailer.html?mid=rss?mid=vulturelatest
  3. Hi Tyler. Did you mean to include a link here? Paul
  4. Hi Paul and welcome. I'm not sure if your looking for feed back on if you got a great deal or not, or just sharing the process of making the deal. Over the years I have leased several times. The leasing industry relies on customers who want the lowest payment possible or just want to drive a nice care while reducing the amount of personal capital they have to lay out. If leased as or under a business, there can be helpful tax reductions. Unfortunately, most lease buyers concentrate on the amount of cash do upfront and the monthly payment. Leasing a car can be close to the 5th ring of the "Inferno". Even though you think your only "renting a car", it also has many of the same pitfalls that borrowing to buy a car does. Many people don't know that they should first work on the bottom line car price the lease cost will be based on. The sales person may try to tell you that lease cars are sold at a fixed price. No exceptions. That is not true. The dealer would probably lease one of their computers if it would make them make their numbers for the month. Wither negotiating a lease or a purchase, always work on lowering the actual net cost of the car. Only concentrating on the monthly payment may meet your budget, but when you turn the car in you will have no trade-in value on which to get your next car. Paul
  5. It was junk. Primarily, because the transmitter distance was reported to be less than 20ft. in some situations. Most owners up til now have installed after-market remote starters. As for the updated Lexus remote, I don't know what the current situation is. I use a aftermarket remote and love it. Paul
  6. The new edition of the GS 200t is out for your approval. In my mind, this 2016 GS 200t is one of the best looking full-sized SUV's on the market. The rear look and shape combines a perfect foil to the spindle grill. My favorite feature is the way cool cabin with it's aircraft like instrument lay out. Also To my knowledge the prices have not been released. The string below shows a look at the GS 200t, and the new LX. Paul https://lexusenthusiast.com/2015/08/14/video-the-new-2016-lexus-gs-200t/
  7. Good morning, It sounds like there is a number of possible solutions. That is the great thing about your LOC. Two questions; Does the NX200T have adjustable up and down head rest that clicks with each of the four up and down positions? If not are you able to raise the headrest without pushing a release button. If not, how does the non OEM headrest rise up and down for adjustment. Secondly; does the NX200T have an adjustable Lumbar support? Thanks for the info. Paul
  8. Two previous ES 350's I've owned, and a Volvo 2007 - S80, have all had self leveling head lights, as well as the left to right head lamp turn tracking. It is my understanding that the corner following head lamps really didn't help much and I don't miss them at all. The head rest should be adjusted by a small, rectangular button located at the base of the headrest post, where it goes into the seat back. Press the button inward and you should be able to adjust the height of the head rest. Paul
  9. Two new Lexus models will be on display at Pebble Beach this week end. I've never been a big fan of the LX body style. Too boxy. This new one looks great! Check it out. Paul https://lexusenthusiast.com/2015/08/10/lexus-to-debut-two-updated-vehicles-at-pebble-beach-this-week/
  10. Hi Stacey and thank you for sharing all of you knowledge. This particular feature seems to be and off and on problem. A search of our data base might be helpful in finding other members threads on the suject. Please give it a try. Paul
  11. Hi John and welcome to your LOC. Toyota has a website for Lexus, Scion, and Toyota. This site has nearly everything you could want in terms of Schematics, wiring diagrams, and other sections from front to back. This Toyota site charges a small fee of $15 for two days access. You can rent additional time from the two days to a whole year. Let us know how things are going and if this doesn't work out we'll try another idea. Paul TIS.com (Toyota Information Service)
  12. Lexus announced that it is trialing a new "One Price Shopping" in 12 dealerships across the country. The goal, according to the Lexus spokesperson is to expand the customers experience of up front pricing and true transparency for the customer. My guess is that this could end up being a brawl for some dealers. Read this and tell everyone what you think. 13. / Sorry about that.......For some reason I can't come up with the right link. I'll keep working on it.
  14. What market research? What is the purpose of your research? How will the research be used? What will happen to the email names you will collect? Under what name or corporation name will this research be published? With out answers to these questions I will block your post as spam.
  15. A collection of new IS models that look like their moving when their standing still. What is you opinion? https://mail.aol.com/webmail-std/en-us/suite
  16. Hi Kim and welcome to the LOC. This is a stumper. If the dealer can't even give you a hint that is pretty strange. Do you know if the wipers are electric driven or possibly vacuum driven? Paul
  17. Hi John, Try talking to "cdluck" on this site. He is an expert on this type of thing. Paul
  18. In the past many members have had the best luck with junk yards. Paul
  19. Hi Judy, To really find the trouble you probably need a tech to first download the trouble codes from the computer that controls much of the engines main functions. From there, you may find the area of your trouble and at least give you a start. Ask around for a good reputable tech who knows Lexus or contact your dealer. Paul.
  20. Just a thought Billy; By far the biggest number of post for technical advice are for Lexus 2002 and older. 1998 and 1997 would set the peak. You are needed. What ever you would like to do. Paul
  21. Hi Jim, There are air direction vanes within the housing that controls the amount of cold and hot air as called for by the thermostat you set. It could be that one of the servos that control the opening and closing of the vanes is bad. I'm not betting the farm on this but it's one thing to consider. Paul
